ROH World & TV champion Jay Lethal and Truth Martini cut a promo on Roderick Strong hyping tonight's main event. Martini offered Strong a "multiple choice" of how he wanted his ass beat and then listed off a bunch of Lethal's moves. Lethal continued his crazed yet confident promo style, yelling that Strong's "time was up" and his "chance was done." He said that Cheeseburger was more deserving of a title shot at this point and said that this would be Strong's last chance at the ROH World Title. Strong was then shown backstage. He complimented Lethal for being great, but said that he was much better. He promised to become a two-time ROH World champion
The Addiction defeats The Young Bucks, The Bucks hit the IndyTaker on Kazarian when The Kingdom comes down, Taven yanks the ref out of the ring. Nick kicked Taven from the apron. The Bucks were going for a double-superkick on Kaz, but Daniels ran in and nailed Nick with the title belt. Daniels went to hit Matt with the belt, but ate a superkick instead! Matt then picked up the belt and nailed Daniels and then Bennett on the apron with it. Matt went to hit Kaz with it, but Maria got on the apron and yanked it away from Matt. The fans wanted Matt to Superkick Maria when Kaz roll up Matt & hooks the tights to retain the Tag Titles
ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness came down to the ring. He grabbed the mic and said "not like that, not on my watch." Huge "Nigel" chant from the crowd. McGuinness addressed Daniels and said that when he first started in ROH, Daniels believed in pure wrestling and a "clean winner and clean loser." He said that Daniels might not believe in that anymore, but many people still do. (Not sure who they're trying to fool here, Daniels was against ROH & The Code of Honor since Day 1, sure he changed later on, but originally he formed The Prophecy to take down The Code of Honor & rebuild ROH in his own image)
McGuinness said that the Bucks definitely deserved another title match. He threatened to take away the Kingdom's title shot at All-Star Extravaganza and award it to the Bucks. The crowd booed at the re-match not happening right then and there. Nigel said that he could not contractually take away the title shot from The Kingdom, so instead, there will be a three-way between The Addiction, The Kingdom, and the Young Buck at the All-Star Extravaganza PPV
Jay Lethal defeats Roderick Strong, Lethal chokes out Roddy with his wrist tape, when Ref Sinclair gets it out of the ring, he hits Strong with the title then follows up with The Lethal Injection but Roderick kicks out. Superkick & a second Lethal Injection is enough for Lethal to retain the ROH World Title
After the match, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish appeared in the entranceway and locked eyes with Jay Lethal from afar. Hyping their title matches at ASE to end the show
