William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest sixty minutes on television, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host William Regal. With me , as always, is my lovely co-host Renee Young. We are coming to you from Charlotte, NC, for our debut episode on TBS! Renee, I cannot wait to get this show started!"
Renee Young: "William, you took the words right out of my mouth! It's an exciting time to be a pro wrestling fan, especially if you're a fan of NWA: Show Time. We are making waves in the sporting world. CEO Jordan Richards, whether you like his politics or not, has really been wheeling and dealing as of late."
Regal: "Indeed he has. Someone else who is making waves is our newest draftee, former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Steen. We saw him make a surprise debut last week go right after hired mercenary Brock Lesnar. Let's take you to an interview from earlier today."
Kevin Steen: "I have been wrestling for over fifteen years. I worked my entire career to be THE World Champion. I won a world title in Ring of Honor, but I wanted to be known as the number one guy in our sport. I became that back in April when I captured the most prestigious prize there is--the NWA World Championship. I was a fighting and defending champion. I was a proud champion. I beat the best wrestlers on the planet to keep that title. Then, I went to Peru and wrestled CM Punk in front of 86,000 people. I beat him down and had him pinned. Then, Brock Lesnar showed up and took my lights out with an "F-5." Why? Maybe he was jealous. Maybe Brock Lesnar hates the fact that my "F-Cinq" is a better move than his. Maybe he was jealous that I held the title he has never come close to winning. Whatever the reason, he blindsided me and handed MY title over to Punk. Well, I can tell you this: CM Punk will have his day with Kevin Steen. But, first thing's first. I have to make Brock Lesnar pay for ever sticking his nose in my business! Lesnar, you and I will meet one-on-one very soon. When we do, I'm gonna drop you like a bad habit! Big man, you don't scare me. I've fought bigger and better in my career. You'll go down just like everyone else did. You messed with the bull, Lesnar. Now, you're gonna get the horns."
Regal: "A most interesting interview from Kevin Steen."
Young: "Yes it was, William. The question is, can he back that talk up in the ring against "The Beast" Brock Lesnar?"
Regal: "I, for one, can't wait to see that happen. Okay fans, we have a packed show tonight, so let's take it to the ring and Scarlett Bordeaux."
Match One ~ "Super Luchas"--Myzteziz, La Sombra, & Volodar, Jr. vs. "Universal Soldier" Gunner & "TenCozy"--Sataoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan
This was the television debut of the "Super Luchas," three of Mexico's biggest stars. Myzteziz is the former Mistico and was the top draw south of the border for nearly a decade. La Sombra is the current NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion and has been for a long while now. Volodar, Jr. comes from a wrestling family and is one of the top high-flyers in the world. They were opposing the first-time tandem of Gunner and "TenCozy," who would be "easy out," to be sure. The Lucha Libre style certainly hampered the bigger and slower Gunner, Kojima, and Tenzan. It took the vets several minutes to gain their footing. The lighter, lightning quick luchas ran circles around their counterparts. Eventually, Myzteziz caught Gunner in the vaunted "La Mistica." La Sombra and Volodar kept "TenCozy" from making the save with a double "Toupe' Suicida." After nearly forty-five seconds, Gunner had to tap out.
Winners = "Super Luchas" by submission in 8:33
Regal: "Wow! The 'Super Luchas' were quite impressive."
Young: "You'd almost have to slow the replay down to catch all the action. Those guys are so fast and dynamic inside the ring!"
Regal: "Expect to see big things from the 'Super Luchas,' collectively and individually. Fans, as you know, this past Saturday, NWA: Show Time put on its first foray into i-pay-per-view with our 'Jerry Lawler Appreciation Night' spectacular that emanated from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN. The event was a critical success, with eight matches that could have main evented just about anywhere in the world. Among the matches was a contest for the NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship. 'Sons of Steel,' the upstart team who seemingly came out of nowhere to win the titles, stepped into the ring with the team many of us thought were shoe-ins to be the inaugural champions, 'Killer Elite Squad.''SoS' had successfully defended the championship against 'KES' one more than one occasion since winning them. However, on this night, it was not to be. 'KES' has taken its place among the elite teams in the world by capturing the NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship. Let's welcome the new champions to the ring!"
"Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. and Lance Hoyt, came triumphantly to the ring, as fans gave them a very mixed reaction.
Davey Boy Smith, Jr.: "Lance, I have to say that these championship belts look good around our waists! We told you people that we're the best team out there, and we proved it on Saturday night."
Lance Hoyt: "That's right, Davey! Those two punks won these belts on a fluke, and we knew it was only a matter of time before they came to their rightful owners. Boys, you did a good job as champs, but it's time to step aside and let the real men defend these belts!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva blared to bring out NWA: Show Time CEO Jordan Richards, Brock Lesnar, and "The Kingdom."
Michael Bennett: "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I see you two walking around out here with shiny belts strapped around your waists when we're the guys who beat the champions last week. If anyone deserved that title match Saturday, it was us!"
Matt Taven: "You know as well as we do, that if we would have been in the ring with 'SoS,' we'd be rocking those titles right now!"
Smith: "Oh, you think so, do you?! We could beat you any day of week!"
Jordan Richards: "Why Don't you put your money where your mouths are, boys? The way I see it, 'The Kingdom' defeated 'Sons of Steel' right here last week, which made them the number one contenders. They were otherwise booked on Saturday, which allowed you guys to sneak in the back door and beat them to the punch. Well, I say that the number one contenders deserve the championship opportunity they have yet to receive. So, tonight, 'KES' will defend those newly won championship belts against Michael Bennett and Matt Taven in our main event! I hope you have your gear, gentlemen."
Hoyt: "We always have our gear. Even if we didn't, we could beat these two punks in our street clothes!"
Regal: "What a blockbuster announcement! We now have a Tag Team Title match here tonight!"
Young: "That one is going to be a brawl!"
Regal: "After the break, Shelton Benjamin will defend his NWA: Show Time Television Championship!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Shelton Benjamin vs. Katsuyori Shibata
Benjamin, the athletic high-flyer, was set to defend against Shibata, the crafty MMA-specialist. The strategies were simple. For Benjamin, he needed to "stick and move," keeping the match fast paced and utilizing the space above the ring. For Shibata, he needed to ground Benjamin and slow the match to a methodical speed. Benjamin dazzled the fans early on with his array of springboard offense. He bounded the ropes with the lithe expertise of a cat and was just as quick. Shibata was able to capitalize on a mistake by Shelton, and struck like a coiled cobra on his fallen prey. Shibata nailed Benjamin's chest and back with repeated kicks. Shelton came back with a "Slingblade" to turn the tide, but Shibata cut his rally short with a "Thrust Kick" to the side of Benjamin's head. Katsuyori looked to have an advantage until a timely distraction by Tetsuya Naito sealed his fate. Off the distraction, Shibata turned around just in time to eat "Paydirt" for the pin.
Winner and still NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Shelton Benjamin by pinfall in 11:14
After the bell, Hirooki Goto stormed the ring and took out Naito. He and Shibata began to lay the boots to him when Ryusuke Taguchi hit the ring to even the sides. Benjamin came back to the ring to help run "Meiyu Tag" back to the dressing room.
Regal: "It looks like the score has not been quite settled for Naito."
Young: "I think he wants blood, namely 'Meiyu Tag's' blood."
Regal: "Speaking of blood, one of the most violent feuds in the sport right now involves two of our own; 'Priest of Punishment' Mikael Judas and 'Ticking Time Bomb' Jason Justice. They have beaten each other from pillar to post in every city we have traveled to. As you heard from Judas last week, the two are set to do battle once again. This time, there will be no constraints, as they've been granted a 'Falls Count Anywhere' stipulation. The PNC Music Center might get destroyed before this one is over."
Young: "The ring can't hold these two. I'm with you, William. I don't know if our venue can hold them either. They just might fight all the way out to Interstate 85!"
Regal: "Here's a video package that details their feud so far."
Promo video airs chronicling the epic feud between Mikael Judas and Jason Justice.
Regal: "Well, here we go! Let's get this one going!"
Young: "Do you think we're safe out here? I might need a helmet!"
Match Three ~ "Falls Count Anywhere" ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas vs. "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice
This match never got started in the ring. They met each other on the ramp and began slinging the heaviest blows they could muster. Both men are seemingly impervious to pain, so everything they did to one another, which would mame normal men, scarcely even took these behemoths off their feet. The ringside area looked a tornado had touched down. There were weapons scattered to and fro. There were bent chairs, broken glass, shards of wood from a destroyed table, blood spatters (from both men's lacerated bodies), and pretty much anything you could think of. Within ten minutes, the entire Show Time set resembled the scene of a violent crime. "Oohs," "Ahs," and gasps from the audience were all that could be heard. It was almost as if the normal crowd buzz had died out due to the literal shock of what they were witnessing. The end came when both men had scaled an elevated platform (the off-stage interview set) and Judas delivered a bone-crunching "El Crucifejo" on his 300-pound adversary that forced them both off the platform and through the entrance ramp! The referee immediately called for the bell and threw up the dreaded "X" sign, meaning Judas and Justice would need medical attention ASAP.
Winner = the match was declared a 'No Contest" in 13:47
Trainers and EMT workers rushed to the stage to begin extracting both men from the rubble. The television taping had to be suspended for over twenty minutes so that both men could be loaded into separate ambulances and taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The ring crew worked diligently during this time to restore the ringside area to some semblance of order.
Regal: "I have seen car crashes with less damage than what we just witnessed, Renee."
Young: "These two may kill each other before the feud ends."
Regal: "If that wasn't enough, fans, we still have our main event to come! Let's get right to it!"
Match Four ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt vs. "The Kingdom"--Michael Bennett & Matt Taven
The original "nWo" music rang out to bring Commissioner Scott Hall and Deputy Commissioner Jake "The Snake" Roberts to the ring.
Scott Hall: "Hey, yo! Jordan Richards thought he should make a Tag Team Championship match here tonight involving his boys. I can dig it. They did beat the champs last week, so they deserve a shot at the belts. But, Jake, we have to do something about the rest of Jordan's cronies. They can't seem to keep their noses out of anyone's business. What to do, what to do..."
Jake Roberts: "Well, I think there's a real simple solution, Scott. 'The Kingdom' and Brock Lesnar are barred from ringside for the main event!"
The crowd howled with delight as Security escorted Lesnar, Cole, and Maria Kanellis back to the dressing room. The match began with "KES" domination and pretty much they handed out the bulk of the offense throughout. Bennett and Taven hit a few spots of their own, but they were cut off each time they thought they had shifted the momentum. It was clear that "The Kingdom" was out of its element without Maria or anyone else at the ring. Sensing his charges were in serious trouble, Jordan Richards made his way to ringside. He was halted by Hall and Roberts, but dressed them down on the technicality that he was neither Lesnar or "The Kingdom," which had been banned from ringside. It was Richards who turned out to be the difference-maker. Just as it is alleged that he did during the "Survivor Scramble," Jordan appeared to slip a foreign object to Bennett, who used it to knock Hoyt silly and secure the victory for his team.
Winners and new NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Kingdom" by pinfall in 15:19
Lesnar, Cole, and Kanellis came to ringside to revel in the triumph. As Bennett and Taven were presented with the championship belts, Richards was seen shaking Bennett's hand. It looked as if he took something (presumably the foreign object) from Bennett and stashed it in his pocket. Hall and Roberts informed the referee of their suspicion. When the official checked Taven and Bennett, of coure, he found nothing, so the victory stood. "KES" had lost the championship only three days after winning it.
Regal: "Another miscarriage of justice, Renee! 'The Kingdom' now has the two most prestigious titles in our company and Jordan Richards hand-delivered them both!"
Young: "Unbelievable, William! It's an outrage!"
Regal: "Fans, hopefully, we can get some sort of lawful retribution around here very soon! That's all the time we have for this week's episode. Join us next Tuesday for more Power Hour, and please tune in this Thursday for Show Time Femme Fatales, as it debuts on TNT! For Renee Young, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now."
The show went off the air with the credits rolling as Kevin Steen, Claudio Castagnoli, and Dean Ambrose hit the ring and "The Kingdom" ran off like scalded dogs.
