Kevin Owens is in the ring for the Kevin Owens Show and beckons Shane McMahon cut to the chase and get out here so he can get this done with.
He makes Kev sweat a beat for entering, and Owens cuts off his big entrance and says we’ve heard it enough. He called him out here for a specific reason, and that’s that people have asked him over and over why Shane’s career isn’t also on the line at SummerSlam. The answer to that is simple, it’s his last name. He’s a McMahon, so he can say whatever he wants and do whatever he wants.
But the thing is ever since then, people have been relentless and he’s heard them loud and clear and he’s changed his mind, so here tonight he’s trying to appeal to whatever pride McMahon has or maybe that giant ego of his, but since they always talk about giving the people what they want, he’s asking for Shane to put his career on the line at SummerSlam and be the man he says he is.
McMahon thinks about it for a literal second before giving an emphatic “no.” He says it’s Kev’s ego that got him in trouble in the first place, and he runs over a number of scenarios that will force KO to have to quit, from pinfall to submission to count-out and so on, and no matter how it ends, McMahon will be rid of him.
Owens asks if the point of this whole diatribe is that he’s not gonna do it, and Shane confirms. Kev says that surprises him because after all these years of death-defying acts he’s exposed to everyone that he really doesn’t have any balls. Owens drops the mic and McMahon says he can see the hostility in his eyes. They clear the ring, Elias with the sneak attack but KO fights them off!
Brawling to the floor, over the table... STUNNER TAKES ELIAS OUT! McMahon pulls KO down into grounded punches and puts boots to him... AND TIPS THE TABLE OVER ONTO HIM! Shane lays a chair over Kev’s face... RUNNING DROPKICK INTO THE CHAIR! McMahon gets in his face and berates him before slapping him a few times.
