Undisputed ERA are out, and they’re wondering if SAnitY forgot about their match. Fish offers to go up to the roof and remind them, when Cole cuts him off and says he remembers - they kicked the chaos out of them, and they’ll kick the chaos out of anyone who gets in their way... here comes Nikki Cross! She tries to claw through some officials to get to the ring, but is held back. Regal is out and says this is ridiculous, and they will defend their tag titles tonight! Roderick Strong makes his way out and says he’ll fight them. He’ll head backstage and get a partner right now... “NO MAN IS EVER TRULY GOOD, NO MAN IS EVER TRULY E-VIL” Aleister black says “as will I”. Roddy and Black take off their shirts and hit the ring swinging!

reDRagon vs Roderick Strong & Aleister Black: Black with a Sliding Knee to O'Reilly for a 1 count, Oklahoma Roll for a 2 count, Strong with a Jumping Calf Kick for a 2 count, Pendulum Backbreaker for a 2 count, Fish with a Slingshot Senton Atomico to Black for a near fall, Exploder Suplex, but Strong breaks up the cover, Aleister with a Sunset Flip on Fish for a near fall, Roddy with a Face Plant, but Fish breaks up the cover, Ax, but Strong counters Smash with a Knockout Knee, Black with a Knee Strike to Fish, but Cole pulls out Aleister, Black stalks Cole, back in the ring reDRagon with Total Elimination & O'Reilly pins Roderick to retain the tag titles

Black looks shocked from the stands while the heels celebrate and heads to the ring for some retribution, but misses a charge and ends up getting superkicked by Cole. The ERA holds him up, and they continue to beat him down, ending with a Ushi-Goroshi onto a steel chair

Mr. Regal is back to inform Cole that his match at TakeOver will live up to Philadelphia’s extreme history... he’ll face Black in an Extreme Rules match! AC looks shocked, but then leaves with his boys while thanking Regal

Black vs. Cole gets a sick promo package with highlights from their previous match and last week, quotes from Aleister saying he doesn’t need allies and promising to make AC “fade to black”, and brief clips of spots from Extreme Rules matches past

Roderick Strong vs Fabian Aichner: Strong with a Jumping Calf Kick for a 1 count, Aichner with a Powerslam for a 2 count, Roddy with a Chop, then a Forearm in the corner, Aichner catches the knee, but Strong fights out & hits a Cradle Backbreaker for a 2 count, Aichner goes for a Springobard, but Roddy catches him with a Half-Nelson Backbreaker then locks in The Strong Hold and Fabian taps

A look at TM61’s tag team history starts with outtakes from a promo reel around the time of their NXT debut and highlights of their run before Thorne’s injury. Shane Thorne and Nick Miller talk about meeting at 16 and wrestling in Australia, first as competitors and then deciding to team up. Even after winning titles Down Under, they decided to come to the U.S. for Harley Race’s wrestling camp. Race bugged WWE to give them a tryout with guys like Seth Rollins and Xavier Woods, but they weren’t ready. They went to Japan and worked as young boys, eventually winning titles in front of Race. We’ll get more of this next week in Pt. 2

Evans notices Shayna Baszler walked out behind her and exits

Baszler heads to the ring and puts the Kirifuda Clutch on Aliyah. Moon runs in and Shayna slides out while the champ calls for her to get in the ring. Ember on the stick, asks if Baszler wants to bully someone, she dares her to do it with her. She dares her to get in the ring and fight now. Shayna says she doesn’t have her gear (she’s in street clothes), but she’ll do it for Moon’s title. The champ says she’ll meet her wherever, whenever, but The Queen of Spades better be ready. Baszler says lets do it in Philly, Ember says she'll bring her title and will beat Baszler's ass as a 'beat that ass' chant starts but the announcers remind us that Regal has to make the match before it’s official.

An interview with The GM makes the Women’s title match official. Zelina Vega barges in and says she wants to talk to Regal (and tells Christy St. Cloud to stay so everyone can hear this). Johnny Gargano was carried in a tag team, and gifted a title opportunity. Vega thinks Velveteen Dream had a good point last week, and suggests Gargano face Dream to prove to her, the fans and himself he has a chance in Philly. Regal says he’d advise Johnny not to do that. Zelina says fine, they’ll prove Johnny Wrestling is a lie when they embarrass him at TakeOver

No Way Jose says 2017 was full of ups and downs like a roller coaster. He’s gonna keep having fun next week when he makes his 2018 debut

Johnny Gargano head to the ring while the announce team is talking about the women’s title match we just saw a graphic for. He just saw the Regal/Vega convo, and he hears everyone talking behind his back - Zelina, Dream and maybe even The GM doubt he can beat Andrade “Cien” Almas. He is done being doubted! He is not a broken man! This is not a fluke and this is his time! No one is going to stop him! He puts his title shot on the line against Velveteen Dream - next week! Because for the first time in a long time, he knows exactly who he is. He’s Johnny Gargano, he’s JOHNNY FREAKING WRESTLING, and he’s THE NEXT NXT CHAMPION! The #1 contender throws down the mic... did he just throw away his big chance?

Street Profits vs Authors of Pain: Authors clubberin' Ford, Rezar into a cover for a 1 count, Akam with a Fullnelson Slam for a 2 count then just grinds away on Montez with elbows for another 2 count, Dawkins with a Spinning Stinger Splash on Rezar then a Bearhug/Missile Dropkick combo, but Akam breaks up the pin, Precious Paul gives the thumbs down & Authors with The Super Collider then finishes Montez with The Last Chapter for the win

Velveteen Dream video opens the show. Dream directs the scene, calling for ambiance, atmosphere and illumination. When he has the set just the way he likes it, VD says everyone dreams of becoming NXT champion, but they all walk different paths. Johnny Gargano dreams of being champ, and Dream doesn’t doubt he will be one day. But that day is not now, not when he’s around. Gargano’s path was full of doubt, while Velveteen’s experience was pure. Either way, one dream ends tonight

LaToya Allsopp (aka Luscious Latasha) vs Bianca Belair: Belair counters a Headscissors into a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker, then an Inverted Butterfly Lock turned into a Double Chickenwing Faceplant, LaToya goes for a Double Axehandle, but Bianca counters with that nasty hair whip of hers, then finishes LaToya with The Alley-Oop for the win

Percy Watson interviews Shayna Baszler and Ember Moon. Percy asks the champ why she called out Baszler, and Moon runs down Shayna’s attacks and calls her a bully. She asks if Baszler is trying to compensate for something, if she’s afraid of the women’s roster. The Queen of Spades says that to catch the big fish you have to stir up the water, and Ember is the big fish around here. Moon says there’s responsible to being the champ here, and standards of sportsmanship and honor. She knew what Shayna was doing, and while she might get to the top someday, it won’t be Saturday. Baszler gives the champ props for getting there herself, but says the difference between her and Moon is that she doesn’t care whether anyone knows the path she took. They both stand for the staredown, and Watson asks Shayna if there’s anything she wants the NXT Universe to know about. She again says she doesn’t care what we think, we’re just gonna have to deal with it.

A look at TM61, Pt. 2 starts with Shane Thorne making fun of fans who only know their name as “a Pokemon thing” (it’s also a missle). He then recounts the spot where he hurt his knee wrestling Roderick Strong in San Jose during the Dusty Rhodes Classic. He went on work the finals at TakeOver (“to be tough you’ve got to be dumb, and I’m real tough”), but when they faced The Revival after that he couldn’t go any more. They show him pre and post knee surgery. Nick Miller says that up until now in WWE, they’ve been trying to be something they’re not. He’d hate for fans to only know them as they’ve been here. They both talk about their old name/catch phrase (The Mighty Don’t Kneel) enough that you think they might be going back to the name, but it’s not to be. In the end, we get clips of Harley Race putting them over as they vow to win the tag titles someday, and Nigel tells us they’ll be making their in-ring return next week

The Authors of Pain vs ?: Authors bum-rush the 2 men in the ring with twin Big Boots then Stereo Death Valley Bombs into the turnbuckle as this one never gets officially started

Akam yelled in the microphone and said “This is You” to the undisputed era. He cut a promo in Albanian. Rezar said “it’s your turn and they obliterate the 2 with The Super Collider

Johnny Gargano vs Velveteen Dream: Dream enters wearing a Johnny Wrestling half-shirt, Dream tells Johnny he's not ready for TakeOver & Johnny responds by locking in The Garga-No-Escape right off the bat, but Dream goes to the rope to break the hold, Gargano counters The Rude Awakening into a Backslide for a 2 count, Johnny with a Diving Swinging Reverse STO for a near fall, they trade flash pins, Dream with a Superkick, but Johnny rebounds off the rope with a Lariat for a near fall, Johnny looks to go From Dusk till Dawn, but Dream counters into Square and Compass for a near fall, Dream goes up top possibly for the Purple=Rain Maker, but Gargano takes his legs out and Dream crashes to the floor, Gargano follows after him with a Tope Suicida, Dream with an Avalanche Cartwheel Death Valley Bomb for a near fall, Dream goes for the Purple-Rain Maker, but Johnny gets the knees up, Superkick then locks in The Garga-No-Escape and Dream taps

Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega hit the stage. Almas points to his title and they both laugh off the threat of Gargano. They make their way to the ring to show Johnny the prize... Andrade hands Zelina the belt and tries to cheap shot the challenger, but Gargano fights him off! But not for long. Cien beats him down and throws him to the floor as the crowd boos. But Johnny climbs back into the ring while El Idolo is posing with the belt. When the champ goes to put him back down, Gargano catches him and nails the slingshot DDT while Vega freaks out. Johnny Wrestling picks up the belt for a look and holds it above his head while standing over Almas

Ember Moon’s Women’s title defense and Shayna Baszler’s attack is recapped. Kayla Braxton interviews Baszler, asking how she feels since the match didn’t go as she planned. Shayna says it did go as planned, as the champ didn’t win, she survived. She told Braxton to head down to medical and see which of them is acting like a winner. Then we get some photos of Ember in the main event of Royal Rumble

We get caught up Aleister Black’s Extreme Rules win over Adam Cole, including all the end of match run-ins. Tag champs Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish are helping Cole through a hallway wondering what wrong with their plan to dominate TakeOver. The Panama City Playboy tells them to call back, they’ll get revenge against SAnitY. We then learn that reDRagon will face Eric Young’s faction next week as SAnitY will get their rematch for the Tag Titles

Highlights of Velveteen Dream’s win over Kassius Ohno, then Kayla interviews Dream. She asks about failing to knock out KO in 30 seconds. He hints that Ohno knocked his mouthpiece out to make sure he couldn’t do what he said, but that Kassius, the NXT Universe and everyone now knows what it says on his trunk “Dream Over”

TM-61 vs The Ealy Brothers: TM-61 with the Standing Moonsault/Fist Drop Combo then Thorne with the Fosbury Flop, Gabriel with the switch before tagging Uriel back in, Uriel with a Big Boot for a 2 count, Thorne with a Jumping Calf Kick then a Cannonball as the knee looks to be in good shape after the injury, Miller with Blue Vengeance, but Gabriel breaks the cover, TM-61 finish Uriel with Thunder Valley for the win, picking up right where they left off and with their sights on reDRagon and the Tag Titles

We’re reminded of Almas 30 minute run in The Rumble and elimination of Kofi Kingston. Cathy Kelley interviews Zelina Vega and the champ. She says this was her plan all along, Cien says it’s only the beginning. They laugh about how Johnny Wrestling was watching at home

After a reminder that ECIII has signed and was in Philly Saturday night, we’re treated to some shots of Cole in The Rumble. That leads to an announcement he’ll face Killian Dain next week in a big SAnitY vs. Undisputed ERA episode

Roderick Strong vs Tyler Bate: Tyler with an Airplane Spin, Roddy only gets a few rotations before fighting out & hitting Butterfly Backbreaker for a 2 count, they trade chops (not a good idea when your facing Roderick) and Strong with a Pendulum Backbreaker for a 2 count, Backbreaker then Gorilla Presses him into the turnbuckle for a near fall, Bate with a Diving Knee then a Deadlift Bridging German Suplex for a near all, Tyler with an Exploder Suplex, nip up then a Running Shooting Star Press for a near fall, Roddy with a Cradle Backbreaker for a near fall, Gibson Driver countered into a Hurricanrana, Rolling Koppu Kick, Springs back with a Lariat, but Roddy catches him, Half-Nelson Backbreaker, but Tyler counters into a Crucifix Pin, Roddy escapes, Tyler dodges The Knockout Knee, then springs off the rope with a Lariat for a near fall, Tyler Driver '97, but he can't get Roddy up as the Backbreakers have done their work, Strong Hold countered into a flash pin for a near fall, Knockout Knee and a second, Running Faceplant then finishes Bate with The End of Heartache for the win

Roddy gets a shot at the UK Title (not sure I agree with a non-UK wrestler challenging for the UK Title, but Dunne & Strong should be a good match)
