I am more or less doing this thread for myself as I think it will be cool to be able to look back on all of my preparations, thoughts, and experiences from this trip. I will continue to use this thread throughout my planning stages and while I am actually there to share pictures etc.
As mentioned in another thread, I've decided to go to Japan in September instead of December. The reason is simple...It's far cheaper to go in September as a opposed to December, my total cost for a direct non-stop flight from Toronto to Tokyo and 13 days in a Capsule Hotel is a little under $1,500 Canadian. Whereas if I were to fly to Japan at the end of December the airfare alone would be $1,700 Canadian for the same flight. So I figured if I go in September than it's a heck of a lot cheaper and I can stay for 13 days which allows me to get a lot more work in for the website (This is a Wrestling "Working" Trip lol).
So far this is my EARLY itinerary...
Thursday, September 16, 2015 ~ Arrive in Tokyo
Friday - Sunday ~ No idea, recover from jetlag and probably wander around
Monday ~ Tsukiji Fish Market @ 4 am, BJW @ Korakuen Hall @ 6 pm
Tuesday - Thursday ~ Side trips to Yokohama, Kawasaki, & maybe Chiba
Friday ~ Bullet train to Nagoya
Saturday ~ Wandering Nagoya
Sunday ~ BJW Death Market 28 in Nagoya
Monday ~ Day trip to Kyoto & then on to Osaka
Tuesday - Thursday ~ Explore Osaka
Friday ~ Mount Fuji, Back to Tokyo
Saturday - Wednesday ~ Chill in Tokyo ~ At some point get to Shin Chubu and eat some live octopus!
Thursday, October 1st, 2015 ~ Fly to Toronto
This is obviously a very early itinerary but the dates are basically locked down, I'll be getting my plane tickets and such in about a month or so...Debating on the hotel thing still but thinking that I'll just book a few days when I get my tickets and then just search around for hostels or capsule hotels once I land. Thoughts or suggestions?
