This Sunday, April 19, NWA Spring Stampede will emanate from the AlamoDome in San Antonio, Texas at 7:00 PM CST, live exclusively on pay-per-view. Over 70,000 fans will converge to witness history made as the National Wrestling Alliance will crown all new World Champions in a series of Gauntlet Matches. Also, this card will feature the return to action of the greatest professional wrestler of all-time, record 10-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Spring Stampede 2015 promises to be an epic event. With all four sanctioned NWA World Championships (Heavyweight, Cruiserweight, Tag Team, and Women's) guaranteed to go home with brand new titleholders, Spring Stampede will mark the first time in the NWA's storied existence that this monumental feat has occurred in a single night. As Emperor Ihsahn has referenced, the emergency meeting between the NWA Board of Governors, NWA: Wild West CEO "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and NWA: Wild West principle owner Emperor of Tohoku has concluded and the agreement is that Mr. Flair will be granted a temporary wrestling license and will work in the semi-main event of Spring Stampede 2015. However, the license granted will be reduced to one day only from a full ninety days. Mr. Flair has also agreed henceforth to consult with the NWA: Wild West Board of Directors before petitioning the NWA Board of Governors concerning any issue.

NWA Spring Stampede 2015 was a rousing success! 73,121 enthusiastic fans, representing 31 countries and all fifty American states, packed San Antonio, Texas' AlamoDome to set a new all-time attendance record. While official pay-per-view buyrates will not be released for several weeks, preliminary numbers indicate that NWA Spring Stampede 2015 was purchased in over one million homes worldwide, which will set a new pay-per-view record for the NWA and could set a professional wrestling PPV record, depending upon the final tally. In one historic night, all four NWA World Championships officially changed hands, marking the first time since the inception of the National Wrestling Alliance that this has occurred. The official match results of NWA Spring Stampede 2015, for those unfortunate fans who were not able to watch live, will be posted in the next press release from the NWA Board of Governors later today.

NWA Spring Stampede 2015 Results

Please be advised that this review is not a reflection of the entirety of the event or of any one match. Rather, it is intended to be a microcosm of the event. Therefore, this event synopsis will focus on key points and highlights from each match contested. The NWA, in conjunction with the major cable and satellite providers (Charter Communications, Comcast, DirecTV, and DISH Network) who have aired the live version of NWA Spring Stampede 2015, will continue to make replays of the event available for purchase through Wednesday, April 22. Each NWA promoter is prohibited from airing (on that promotion's proprietary broadcast) video footage of NWA Spring Stampede until no sooner than Thursday, April 23.

The following is an abbreviated match-by-match rundown of NWA Spring Stampede 2015:

Match One

Jushin "Thunder" Liger
vs.
KENTA

The first match of the evening was also our first inter-promotional challenge of the "new" NWA. Two Japanese stalwarts went head-to-head. The man who is arguably the greatest sub-heavyweight to ever grace a ring--Jushin "Thunder" Liger (representing NWA: Top Rope Pro Wrestling)--against the hard-striking innovator of "Go to Sleep"--KENTA (representing NWA: Wild West Wrestling). As was seen on TRPW TV, Liger was carted off on a stretcher with an apparent injury. The details of that injury have not been disclosed at this time. Liger, ever the honorable competitor, refused to be replaced in this battle. KENTA even offered to postpone the contest to a later date, to which Jushin declined, stating that he would not miss this event for the world. In his weakened state, "Thunder" clearly was not himself. KENTA dominated the contest, as one might imagine, with multiple kicks to Liger's pain-racked body. Liger fought valiantly, even managing some impressive offense like his vaunted Palm Strike, but was unable to capitalize on any opening. The match ended when Liger, obviously sensing he needed a high impact blow to take KENTA out, went to the top rope. His precarious perch made him a sitting duck, as KENTA quickly bounded to his feet and scooped Liger off the ropes and onto his shoulders, where he delivered a jaw-shattering GTS for the pinfall. The crowd praised both puroresu superstars, showing tremendous respect for the aging Liger's "Strong Style" spirit as he stumbled to the dressing room under his own power. This was a great opening stanza to what promised to be an exciting event. WINNER: KENTA in 6:32.

Match Two
Shane Strickland vs. DBA vs. The Dragon Kid vs. Sami Zayn vs. Austin Aries vs. Mistico II

The next match was the first of our four Gauntlets, which would crown the new NWA World Cruiserweight Champion. Each Gauntlet match was to be contested under a no disqualification, no time limit format, to ensure a conclusive finish for each Gauntlet leg. The order of entry for each of the evening's Gauntlets, of the utmost importance, was determined based on a random draw by the NWA Board of Governors (metfan51 & "The Show" Jordan Richards). The results were kept unknown until the entrants made their way to the ringside area.

The first two entrants to the Cruiserweight Gauntlet were NWA: Wild West's Shane Strickland and NWA: Detroit Championship Wrestling's DBA. The energy was palpable as Strickland and DBA exchanged Bodyslams, Dropkicks, and Hiptosses. As the two jockeyed for position, the AlamoDome crowd began to anticipate a frenetic pace throughout this Gauntlet. Strickland finally took control after DBA missed a Moonsault. Shane planted DBA with Space Jam for the win. NWA: Dynasty Wrestling Federation's The Dragon Kid sprinted toward the ring. Strickland cut him off and went to work with a series of kicks. Kid eventually overwhelmed Strickland with speed. The Messiah DDT ended it as Strickland’s night was over. TRPW's Sami Zayn was out to a strong reaction from the crowd. Zayn started out hot, pulling off some quick Armdrags and then a top-rope Plancha. Once they got back in the ring, Kid and Zayn exchanged some hard kicks and strikes. Dragon Kid got the upper hand. He went to the top, where Zayn "crotched" him. Zayn executed his patented corner Brainbustahh! for the pin. NWA: Danger Zone signee Austin Aries came out to a pop. Aries and Zayn stared each other down as the hyped fans were already chanting, "This is awesome!" Some chain wrestling to start brought the crowd to its feet. Aries seized control and applied the Last Chancery. Zayn wriggled for the ropes to force a break. Zayn made his comeback with the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two-and-a-half count! Aries got back in the action with his own Brainbuster for another heart stopping near fall. After some furious exchanges, Aries whipped Zayn into the corner and nailed a Running Forearm Splash. He sent Zayn into the opposite corner and attempted it again. This time, Sami sidestepped Aries. After a head of steam, Zayn nearly took Austin's head off with the Helluva Kick for the victory. The fans exploded for that finish. This was the early contender for match of the night. Mistico II (representing NWA: Honorable Alliance of Wrestling Kings) made his entrance to a mixed reaction, mainly because he was wrestling everyone's favorite underdog. The final leg of this Gauntlet lived up to the billing. The match had so many high-flying spots, it is difficult to list them. There were plenty of dueling Hurricanranas, Top-rope Planchas, and Springboard Dives. There was one sequence that saw both men on the outside and Zayn hit his incredible dive through the turnbuckles for a Tornado DDT. Mistico dominated the back half of the match, as Sami was clearly running on fumes. Zayn hit the Brainbustahh!, but was unable to cover immediately. Mistico kicked out, which caused a gasp from the audience, who began to doubt Zayn's ability to pull out the victory. La Mistica nearly ended it, but Sami made it to the ropes. Mistico and Zayn found themselves fighting on the apron. Sami attempted a ring apron BrainBustahh!, but Mistico reversed into a Vertical Suplex that sent both men crashing to the arena floor (which brought out the "Holy $#@^" chants)! The referee made the obligatory ten-count, but neither man could answer it. Would we see a non-finish in the Cruiserweight Gauntlet?? The NWA Board of Governors had to do some quick thinking, demanding that the match be re-started with a clear finish. Mistico threw the exhausted Zayn into the ring. As he bent down to pick him up, Sami caught Mistico in a Small Package for the pinfall to become the new NWA World Cruiserweight Champion! Mistico snatched the title belt away from the referee and handed it to Zayn himself. After a handshake, Mistico pulled Zayn in closely and seemed to indicate that he will be gunning for the new champion. WINNER: Sami Zayn in a total match time of 38:57.

Match Three
Kazuchika Okada, Dean Ambrose, and Samoa Joe
vs.
Kota Ibushi, AJ Styles, and Raymond Rowe

The next match, which had the unenviable position of following that instant classic, was the inter-promotional six-man tag team affair (that represented every NWA promotion). DZ's Kazuchika Okada, DCW's Dean Ambrose, and DWF's Samoa Joe took on the tandem of TRPW's Kota Ibushi, WWW's AJ Styles, and HAWK's Raymond Rowe. The real wildcard here was Rowe, who has by far the least amount of overall and/or "big money" experience as his counterparts. However, once the bell rang, Ray was the most impressive of the guys from whom we have come to expect greatness. The sheer power with which Rowe executed his offense was noteworthy. He is someone to watch going forward. As you would imagine in a six-man tag team match, the action became chaotic at times. The referee had trouble controlling the participants throughout. It was clear from the outset that each man wanted his moment to shine. With the action having spilled outside the ring at one point, Okada hit a top rope dive to the floor on everyone. Joe and Ray went toe-to-toe in a chop battle that got the attendees on their feet. Ibushi used his arsenal of offense on Okada and Ambrose. Dean, meanwhile, was his normal off-balance self, making two separate through-the-ropes dives to the floor. The ending sequence was an epic series of "false finishes." Styles hit the Spinal Tap on Ambrose. Joe then caught Styles in the Kokina Clutch. Ibushi hit a top-rope Double Stomp on Joe to break it up. Okada unleashed the Rainmaker Lariat on Ibushi. Raymond hit Death Rowe on Okada. Ambrose, who had since recovered, immediately dropped Rowe with Dirty Deeds for the pin. Did I say that the six-man could not follow the Cruiserweights? I was wrong! WINNERS: Kazuchika Okada, Dean Ambrose, & Samoa Joe in 17:28.

Match Four
LuFisto vs. AJ Lee vs. Kana vs. Gail Kim vs. Sara Del Ray

The ladies took center stage next. Since DCW does not have a women's division at this time, the NWA World Women's Championship Gauntlet featured five capable femme fatales. HAWK's LuFisto made her way down the aisle, followed by crowd favorite AJ Lee (from Wild West). When I say this match was lopsided, that's an understatement. LuFisto had a point to prove to the former WWE diva that women's wrestling is not about looking cute and skipping around the ring, which she said as much before the Gauntlet commenced. I have never seen AJ Lee take a beating the likes of which she took last night. LuFisto was vicious, with kicks, stomps, punches, slams, effectively stretching Lee without attempting any real pinfalls or submissions. Lu even gives Lee a "facewash" of disdain for good measure. What seemed to be a merciful end to the first leg became a shocking conclusion to say the least. LuFisto hoisted AJ up for an inverted Death Valley Driver. As she went to perform it, Lee spun through it and locked in her Black Widow submission. It looked for a moment as if LuFisto would break it, but AJ cinched in with everything she had left. Lu dragged herself to the ropes, draping her toe across the bottom. However, her foot slipped off the rope after one second and the referee refused to break the hold (citing the opinion that LuFisto had not truly engaged the ropes for a mandatory break). Lee held on dearly as LuFisto eventually went motionless, prompting the referee to stop the action and award AJ Lee the fall. This one was a bit on the controversial side. My guess is that the NWA BoG will be hearing from HAWK on that decision. Regardless, AJ advanced to meet TRPW's Kana. AJ attempted to surprise Kana early with several quick pin attempts. Lee even went for the Black Widow, but Kana fought it off. Kana avoided a Shining Wizard and took control, punishing AJ with Suplexes. AJ tried to reverse a final Suplex, but that was countered into a Fujiwara Armbar and Lee tapped out (much to the crowd's chagrin). This brought out Danger Zone's Gail Kim, who was more than happy to engage Kana in a martial arts display. I have never seen a kick battle between two ladies more fearsome than this one. After a bit of chain wrestling, which ended in Kana trying to wear down Kim on the mat, the ladies both picked up the pace. Gail hit running Dropkicks and Leg Kicks to Kana. Kim dragged Kana into the corner, where she locked in the corner post Figure-four Leglock. Kim got a two-count with a Northern Lights Suplex. The end came when Gail went for Eat-Da-Feet. Kana trapped her leg and T-boned her into a bridging pinfall. DWF's Sara Del Ray entered the ring and the pair locked up in a grappling struggle for superiority. Del Ray managed to trip Kana and took her down to the mat. For the first time in the Gauntlet, Kana did not win the ground game. Del Ray used her entire arsenal to keep Kana at bay. Del Ray targeted Kana's weakened legs (thanks to Gail Kim). Kana attempted to draw Del Ray into a stand-up striking contest, as she hit a Spinning Back Fist and followed up with elbow smashes, but Del Ray stayed true to her game plan and kept the action on the mat. Kana finally got to Del Ray by laughing at her attempts to submit Kana, which raised Sara's ire and she immediately hit a seated Lariat. The fight was on at this point. After trading blows, Del Ray went for an Axe Kick. Kana evaded it and hit a Crescent Kick with her injured leg. Del Ray hoped to take advantage, but was again countered into a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Kana went to the top rope and hit a Superfly Leap, but Del Ray kicked out. Del Ray planted Kana with a Piledriver for a two-count. Frustrated, Del Ray lifted Kana up for the Royal Butterfly, but Kana struggled her way out and hit a Palm Strike. She followed up with a Roundhouse Kick that spun Del Ray around into a leg trap German Suplex for the win. That's how the women get it done! Phenomenal Gauntlet! WINNER: Kana in a total match time of 20:48.

Match Five
Brock Lesnar
vs.
Shinsuke Nakamura

Now, the big boys came to the grand stage. Our inter-promotional MMA/Professional Wrestling hybrid match was up next, with DCW's Brock Lesnar against DWF's Shinsuke Nakamura. The concept is pretty straightforward. This match was contested under traditional pro wrestling rules. However, the match was relegated to five-minute rounds (with a maximum of five rounds). No pinfalls were allowed. A win came by submission or knockout. This is one we all were looking forward to since the card was released to the public. Believe me when I tell you that it did not disappoint. Lesnar's reputation as a former UFC World Heavyweight Champion and his size and freakish athletic ability made this look like a mismatch on paper. However, Nakamura had quite the MMA record in Japan and is known as one of the toughest Japanese competitors of all time. This one went about the way you would have predicted. Lesnar followed his simple, yet painfully effective formula of Suplex, Suplex, Suplex, repeat. Brock rag dolled Shinsuke into twenty-one German Suplexes before all was said and done. Nakamura, true to form, never rolled over and died. He kept getting up. He kept moving forward. He kept surviving. No one could have predicted the fact that this bout nearly went the distance. Nakamura even got some offense in with his deadly kicks and knee strikes. In round four, the place went ballistic after he hit the Bombaye on Lesnar, only to see the behemoth rise up at the eight-count. Approximately halfway through round five, the fight spilled outside the ring. This is where Nakamura met his demise. Brock F-5ed him into the steel corner post! Shinsuke made it to his feet by the count of nine, but could not get to the ring. He collapsed in a heap on the floor and Lesnar was declared the TKO winner. In a rare moment of sportsmanship, Brock helped Shinsuke to his feet and shook his hand. The 73,00-plus erupted in applause, until Brock laid Naka out with another F-5 onto the floor. He laughed with delight as those cheers quickly transformed into a chorus of boos and litter showered ringside. Personally, this was a 5-star encounter if I have ever seen one. WINNER: Brock Lesnar by TKO in a total match time of 23:16.

Match Six
"The Inner-City Machine Guns" vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. "The American Wolves" vs. "The Ascension" vs. "Time Splitters" vs. "Los Hell Brothers"

It was now time to crown new NWA World Tag Team Champions in the night's third and penultimate Gauntlet. This match would feature a nice mix of veterans with up-and-comers. The odds-on favorite Hardy Boyz (representing DZ) squared off against the odds-on favorites to lose this Gauntlet, Rich Swann and Ricochet, collectively known as "The Inner-City Machine Guns" (representing HAWK). The first leg can be summed up in one comparison: youth vs. experience. The veteran Hardys are not only longtime teammates, they are brothers. Their chemistry is undeniable. The youngsters did not have a chance, in theory. Sometimes, theories do not hold up. Swann's speed was evident against Jeff, who appeared to have lost a half step at this stage of his career. Ricochet out-maneuvered Matt. Matt and Jeff eventually got the upper hand in this and seemed to have the match won. They set up for the Twist of Fate/Swanton finish on Ricochet. Before they could strike, Ricochet dropped Matt with the Backslide Driver. Swann drove Jeff to the mat with a Super Chicken Fried Driver, followed by a 630 Splash from Ricochet for the pin. "The American Wolves" (DWF) swarmed the ring. They hit their high impact tandem offense on Swann and Ricochet from the get go. Eventually, the "Guns" leveled the playing field. The young guys out worked the vets for a few minutes. Swann went to hit the Chicken Fried Driver on Edwards, but Richards kicked him in the head for the break-up. This was followed by a Stereo DR Driver II on Ricochet and a Die Hard Driver on Swann for the finish. The crowd was slightly disappointed, as they had gotten behind the underdogs. Handshakes of respect abounded after the match. "The Ascension" (DCW) stormed the ring and went ballistic on "The Wolves," really cleaning their clocks. Richards and Edwards tried to mount a comeback, but Richards succumbed to Fall of Man for the victory. Time Splitters" (TRPW) came in like a house of fire against "The Ascension," using their speed with quick double team spots to take Konnor to his knees. KUSHIDA then hit a Shining Wizard. Viktor broke up the pin and "The Ascension" managed to regain a stronghold in the match. KUSHIDA took heat in "The Ascension’s" corner for five or six solid minutes. KUSHIDA finally squeaked through for the tag to Shelley, who came in with a vengeance. Alex took out Konnor and Viktor, allowing him and KUSHIDA to hit dives to the outside. Shelley eventually hit the WA4 on Viktor for the win. Konnor pounced on KUSHIDA and Shelley after the bell. Viktor recovered and they hit Fall of Man on both "Time Splitters." The audience voiced its disgust in unison. "Los Hell Brothers" (WWW) came in and taunted "Time Splitters," as they felt victory was a mere heartbeat away. Not ones to go quietly into the night, "Time Splitters" recovered quickly to make a match of it. KUSHIDA surprised Chessman with a Dropkick. Chessman powdered, but received a Plancha for his trouble. On the outside, Sexy Star distracted the referee as Averno choked KUSHIDA with a chain. Shelley flew from the top rope with a big Crossbody Press to the floor, taking out all of "Los Hell Brothers" at ringside. The match resumesdin the ring with Shelley against Averno. With the ref distracted by the action, Chessman removed a turnbuckle pad, leaving the steel turnbuckle exposed. Averno eventually sent Shelley crashing into the exposed turnbuckle, followed by a top-rope Devil's Wings. Chessman was tagged in, landed a 450 splash, and got the pin. Boos all around as Sexy Star brought the World Tag Team Titles into the ring and strapped them around the waists of the new champs, while the referee tried to re-attach the turnbuckle pad. Cibernetico and Texano, Jr. joined the celebration, as an old-fashioned fiesta commenced in the ring. WINNERS: "Los Hell Brothers" in a total match time of 24:51.

Match Seven ~Semi-Main Event~"Lights out" Bunkhouse Match

vs.
Cibernetico

As the new World Tag Team Champions continued to relish their victory, the familiar refrain of Strauss' "Also sprach Zarathustra" blared over the PA system. San Antonio, Texas, absolutely lost their minds. The AlamoDome went bonkers. I have not heard a sustained pop like that in many years. You could see the NWA BoG stand up, look around, shake their heads, and utter one word: "Wow." NWA: Wild West CEO "Nature Boy" Ric Flair sprinted to the ring like a man 30 years his junior. With a steel pipe in hand and cowboy boots on his feet (yes, you read that right; Shawn Michaels bought them for him), he hit the ring and "Los Hell Brothers" scattered. Have you ever heard 73,000 people yell, "WOOOO" at the same time? I implore you to order the NWA Spring Stampede 2015 replay and you will. When I say the place was nuts, they were NUTS! Guest commentator Jim Ross let the world know that, "Business is about to pick up!" Flair stood defiantly and beckoned Cibernetico to get his @## in the ring as the introductions were made. Cibernetico inched his way between the ropes and Flair pounced like a hungry lion. He hit a combination lefts, rights, and a low blow that put Cibernetico on his back. Then, he broke out "the strut." Flair dragged Cibernetico to the corner and ripped his t-shirt off. He then proceeded to carve Cibernetico's chest up like a Christmas ham with his signature Knife-edge Chops. Ric had some extra mustard behind those blows, as he brought blood to Cibernetico's chest with each thunderous smack. Cibernetico retreated to the floor, where Flair gladly stalked him. Ric fell victim to the numbers game, as "Los Hell Brothers" had stayed at ringside and went on the attack. Flair was quadruple-teamed and sent headlong into the corner post, opening a massive gash on his already scarred forehead. Ric was the proverbial crimson mask within seconds. The referee stepped in and declared that "Los Hell Brothers" were banished from ringside for the duration of the match to ensure a more even contest. Cibernetico was livid, as his amigos were forced to the back by Security. Nevertheless, he then went to work. Cibernetico methodically picked Flair apart like a vulture on a day-old carcass. He even took one of Ric's boots off and opened his head wound even deeper. Flair amazingly continued fighting. He would not stay down. Cibernetico attempted several pinfalls. Flair kicked out time and again. Then, the unthinkable happened. Flair started coming back. The fans' excitement began to swell with each punch, each chop, each knockdown. Flair took the boot that had been snatched from him and used it to lacerate Cibernetico, just above the eye. The sight of his opponent's blood seemed to energize "Naitch." He let out a boisterous "WOOOO" that was returned in kind. As the tide of battle had turned, Flair could sense victory within his grasp. He began to work on the left leg of Cibernetico, setting him up for the vaunted "Figure-four Leglock." First, it was a Chop block. Then, he placed the leg on the bottom rope and dropped his full weight down on Cibernetico's knee. As Flair picked Cibernetico up for the Atomic Drop to the shin (the precursor to the "Figure-four"), Cibernetico's hand struck the referee in the face, sending him careening to the canvas. Flair slapped on the "Figure-four" and Cibernetico almost immediately began tapping out, but there was no referee to call the fall. Sexy Star came running from the back with a steel chair. She entered the ring and went to slam Ric in the chest, but Flair saw it coming and moved at the last minute. As Flair stood up, Sexy Star took another swing at him. Ric ducked and Sexy lost her grip on the chair. As the weapon crashed in the center of the ring, Flair grabbed Sexy Star and planted a sloppy wet kiss on her ruby red lips! The crowd loved it. Unfortunately, this gave Cibernetico time to recover. He waylaid Flair with the chair, woke up the referee, and covered Ric for the three-count of triumph. "Los Hell Brothers" will stay together to terrorize Wild West Wrestling and they get the match of their choosing. As Flair got back to his feet, the massive crowd, in unison, chanted, "Thank you, Ric!" and "You still got it!" as he saluted them and strutted to the dressing room. WINNER: Cibernetico in 15:05.

Match Eight~Main Event~
Jay Briscoe vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Cesaro vs. Alberto El Patron vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens

The final match of this monumental card was the Gauntlet to determine the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Jay Briscoe (HAWK) came out first to a pop. Bryan Danielson's (DWF) music hit to the second-biggest response of the night. The audience had already begun the "Yes!" chant before he got to the ring. These two are no strangers to one another, after spending several years in the same independent organizations. The first five minutes were full of hard-hitting action. Jay sent Danielson into the turnbuckle with an STO. Bryan came back with a series of vintage Yes Kicks. At one point, Danielson caught Briscoe in the Yes Lock. Jay made it to the ropes for a break. Briscoe then managed an offense of kicks and a hit a Full Nelson Slam. As the action continued, Briscoe went for a Jay Driller. Bryan Backdropped Briscoe, but he landed on his feet. Briscoe turned around into the Running Knee. Bryan Danielson won leg one. Cesaro (DCW) was out for the second leg and immediately imposed his will on Danielson. After multiple Psaltos and Suplexes, Cesaro had Bryan right where he wanted him. Cesaro called for the Neutralizer and hoisted Danielson up. Bryan rotated himself up and over Cesaro for the Sunset Bomb and got the quick pinfall. Cesaro was incensed that he was caught after being so firmly in control. The Texas crowd, sprinkled with Hispanics, cheered their native son Alberto El Patron (WWW), as he ran to the ring. In a show of sportsmanship, El Patron allowed Danielson to collect himself. They locked up and struggled back and forth. They began exchanging leg kicks. In a display of moxie, Bryan urged El Patron to bring it on, which he did in spades. Alberto took control of a wonderfully scientific foray, concentrating on Danielson's oft-injured shoulder as a precursor to his lethal Armbar. Eventually, El Patron connected with the corner Enziguiri, followed by the Thrust Kick directly to Bryan's temple. A smattering of the audience actually began to cheer as Alberto called for the Armbar. He achieved the shoulderlock, but before he could rotate into the maneuver, Danielson expertly spun himself into the Yes Lock, trapping El Patron in the center of the ring. Alberto writhed in agony as Danielson used his might to secure the hold. El Patron, after unsuccessful attempts to reach the ropes, was forced to tap out to a raucous ovation. Bobby Lashley (DZ) made his way to the ring for leg four. Lashley has to be seen to be believed. He is one of the most impressive physical specimens you will ever lay eyes on live. He is a gifted athlete as well, which was on display in the Gauntlet. Bobby essentially whipped Danielson from pillar to post with his heavy-hitting repertoire. From Suplexes to Powerslams, this one looked bleak for the "Yes Man." Lashley set up for his coup de grace, the Spear. He charged at Danielson with reckless abandon. Bryan dodged him at the last possible second, allowing Lashley to run face-first into the turnbuckle. Danielson scooped Lashley into a Schoolboy Roll for the pin. A physically decimated Bryan Danielson lay motionless in center ring as Kevin Owens' (TRPW) music hit to a very mixed reaction. Owens sauntered to the ring with a huge smile on his face, thrusting his hands skyward and mocking the "Yes!" chant that has become the calling card of his opponent. Owens continued to berate Danielson, pretending to "put up his dukes" as Bryan struggled to his feet. Kevin then grabbed Danielson by his beard, spat in his face, and delivered the Package Piledriver for the one-two-three. Without breaking a sweat, Kevin Owens had become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. WINNER: Kevin Owens in a total match time of 45:37.

The crowd peppered the ring with soda cups, beer, popcorn, and whatever else they had at their disposal. Owens stood perched atop the ropes proudly stretching his newly won crown overhead for all to see. The image of his almost basking in the confetti of garbage being hurled at him will stick in this writer's mind from now on. In fact, that's how the PPV broadcast went off the air. Well, that and Jim Ross somberly admitting that, "Kevin Owens and his black heart reigns supreme as the NWA's king."

Indeed he does, for now...

New NWA rankings will be released by the NWA Board of Governors on April 21.
