Our Television Champion WALTER will take on the CMLL Heritage Television Champ Tetsuya Naito! And, in a huge main event, Kento Miyahara, the AZCW Strong Openweight Champion, will battle our Heavyweight Champion 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt!"
Jim Cornette: "This is a pay-per-view worthy event that you will see on broadcast television! It's nuts!"
Regal: "Pay-per-view worthy indeed! Let's get to it!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion Kota Ibushi vs. NWA: SWAT Jr. Heavyweight Champion Velveteen Dream
This was another stellar outing for the program. WALTER used his huge strikes to beat the hide off the chest of the "Los Ingobernables" leader. Naito showed his toughness and his trademark "tranquilo" spirit. Naito used his high-flying offense to thwart WALTER's size and strength advantage. WALTER continued to chop down Naito, who kept kicking out. WALTER became increasingly frustrated by this. he eventually lost his cool. He was chopping Naito to oblivion in the corner and would not break. The referee counted to five twice, actually, then had no choice but to ring the bell.
Winner = Tetsuya Naito by disqualification in 19:13
Regal: "WALTER lost his cool, and in turn, the match!"
Ranallo: "WALTER got very frustrated at his inability to put away the pesky Naito!"
Cornette: "I know one thing...he beat the hide off Naito's chest! So, did he really win?!"
Ross: "Good point, Jimmy! That WALTER is one rough and tough hombre!"
Regal: "Okay, fans. We have to take another break. When we return, 'The Fiend' will go one-on-one with the AZCW Strong Champion Miyahara!"
Regal: "We're back! Before we go to the ring for our final match in the 'Champions Showcase,' we have a pre-recorded word from our Commissioner, Sting!"
The scene switched to a video recorded earlier in the day.
Sting: "I am taking this time to talk to you fans about this near year and new decade we've embarked on in NWA: Show Time. It's a new era, really. Jordan Richards is back at the helm as CEO and I am the only Commissioner, which are both welcome changes that have occurred over the last couple of months. With those changes, we hope to usher in a fresh start in this company. Wins and losses will matter. Title shots will be earned, not given. No preference will be shown to any one competitor or group. Most of all, we are committed to putting out the highest quality product in the NWA, both on television and at our live events. That begins with this 'Champions Showcase' edition of the Show Time Power Hour. Expect to see more great action like this every week. Now, I'll let you get back to this huge program."
Regal: "Thank you, Commissioner Sting! If this episode is any indication of where the company is headed, it's definitely in good hands! Let's go to the ring for our big main event!"
Match Three ~ NWA: AZCW Strong Openweight Champion Kento Miyahara vs. NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis
This match began methodically. Kento was sizing up his rather macabre and eerie opponent. "The Fiend" Kept laughing maniacally. Kento became more and more incensed at his inability to figure out "The Fiend." Everything he threw at him, the monster continued to get up and come for more like a slasher movie villain. Eventually, Miyahara went for too much and missed. He leaped off the top rope in frustration and into the awaiting "Mandible Claw" from Wyatt. Kento fought his guts out, but faded and lost consciousness. The referee called for the bell after no response from Miyahara.
Winner = "The Fiend" by submission in 22:48
Regal: "Bray Wyatt is unstoppable!"
Ranallo: "He's impervious to everything thrown at him!"
Cornette: "It doesn't matter if you throw everything including the kitchen sink at him! Nothing sticks!"
Ross: "It makes you wonder if there is anyone out there who can stop this man, and I use that term loosely!"
Regal: "He certainly is other worldly! Fans, that's going to do it for the 'Champions Showcase' edition of the Show Time Power Hour! Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more great action! For Mauro Ranallo, Jim Cornette, and good ole JR, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
The episode ended with the bizarre red haze shrouding the arena and Bray Wyatt glaring directly into the camera.
