William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and manager of the brand new NWA World Tag Team Champions, 'The Revival,' Jim Cornette!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Jim, your boys came through in a big way!"
Jim Cornette: "You got that right! And, that's another World Tag Team Title for a Cornette-led team! They deserve it!"
Regal: "Indeed. We also saw Brock Lesnar break his Starrcade curse by capturing the US Title from Samoa Joe! But, thie big news is that Jordan Richards pinned CM Punk, thereby regaining the CEO position and forcing 'The Magnificent Seven' to disband! With that in mind, the founder, owner, and CEO is about address us all. JoJo (Offerman), please do the honors."
JoJo Offerman: "Ladies and gentlemen, Jordan Richards."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva played to bring out Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Well, well, well. It seems that order has been restored to the world once again! NWA: Show Time is fully back in my hands where it belongs and the reign of terror of CM Punk and 'The Magnificent Seven' officially is over! Now, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank one man for helping restore law and order not only to the match at Starrcade, but this company as a whole. That man is Co-Commissioner Sting."
"Cult of Personality" played to bring out CM punk to thunderous boos.
CM Punk: "Wait just a minute here! This whole thing is a farce and you know it! Sting blatantly helped you beat me! You cheated and I should be declared the winner of that match! There were supposed to be no seconds and Sting helped you out big time!"
Richards: "You're going to come out and talk about no seconds at ringside?! Seriously?! The only reason Sting came out there was because Chris Jericho came out first and jumped me on your behalf!"
CM Punk: "I can't control what Chris Jericho does! The stipulation stated no one in 'The Magnificent Seven' could be present at ringside and no one was! Jericho is not in 'The Magnificent Seven!' But, Sting clearly was working for you! This is a travesty!"
Richards: "The only travesty here is in the fact that you have a live microphone. The bottom line is that you had interference, then Sting came out to rectify the situation. He did what's right. You would know nothing about that!"
Punk: "You're going to talk to me about doing what's right?! You ran this company under your own agenda for years!"
Richards: "Yes, I did. But, the difference between you and I is that I can admit it. You never would. You just continued to push the collective agenda of 'The Magnificent Seven!' In fact, you even had Ric Flair doing your bidding as well! Speaking of Ric, I want him out here right now!"
Flair came strutting down the aisle.
Richards: "Ric, I hired you to be the Commissioner of this great company. I brought you in as a friend and contemporary. I trusted you to run the day-to-day. And, what did you do? You betrayed me and joined the one man on this earth I've had the most problems with over the years! I was more worried about getting back the CEO position than dealing with you at the time, so I hired Sting to balance you out. Well, now that this is all over, I will deal with you specifically. Ric Flair, you are officially relieved of your duties as Co-Commissioner! Sting will step in as THE Commissioner, effective immediately!"
Ric Flair: "What?! You can't do that to me! Do you know who I am?! I'm the greatest wrestler of all time!"
Richards: "I agree, which is why I'm keeping you around. You have a lot to offer this company, if done the right way. So, you are still under contract, just not as an executive. I will allow you to manage talent in this company. Heck, you even can form the second coming of the 'Four Horsemen' if you wish! You just can't reform 'The Magnificent Seven!' They're done! Now Phil, you and I are history. This matter is over! The referee's decision is final. I won. You lost. Deal with it! And, while you're dealing with it, I'll toss you a bone tonight. I am signing a match between you and your former stable mate Matt Riddle. The winner will face 'The Fiend' for the Heavyweight Championship next week!"
Punk: "You're a real piece of work, Jordan Richards!"
Richards: "I'd like to think so. Now, you'd better get your gear on. And Ric, I guess you'd better go to the locker room and see if you can drum up some clients! Woooo!"
Flair: "You haven't heard the last of me!"
Richards: "I'm counting on it!"
Regal: "Wow! CM Punk versus Matt Riddle for the right to challenge 'The Fiend' next week! And, Ric Flair is no longer Commissioner! The episode has become monumental right off the bat! And, we have two second round matches in the Mixed Tag Team Championship tournament! We'll go back to the ring after a short break!"
Regal: "We're back! All right, fans! It's time to keep this tournament rolling into the second round! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Mixed Tag Team Championship Tournament ~ "OI4K Death Machines" (Solomon Crowe & "Death Machine" Jessicka Havok ) vs. "British Strong Style" ("Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne & Joanna Rose)
Havok was the difference here. Crowe could not match offense with Dunne, but the women were even more lopsided. In fact, it was clear that Crowe and Havok intended to keep Pete out of the ring as much as possible to isolate the less experienced Rose. The plan worked. The brief periods that Dunne did find himself in the ring, he dominated. But, Crowe would tag out as quickly as he could to get the women back in it. Eventually, Havok decimated Rose with the "Harlot Slayer."
Winners = "OI4K Death Machines" by pinfall in 12:12
Regal: "Joanna Rose just did not have enough against Jessicka Havok!"
Ranallo: "She was just too big and vicious!"
Cornette: "That's an unfair advantage! Crowe and Havok on a team is like having two men in the ring!"
Regal: "It really is. They'll be tough to beat going forward! Fans, we'll take another break. When we return, we'll have more tournament action!"
Regal: "We're back! Before we go to the ring, let's go backstage with Vanessa Craft and a special guest."
Vanessa Craft: "Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, Chris Jericho."
The camera panned over to Chris Jericho, who had a sly grin on his face.
Craft: "Now Chris, you have become quite the controversial character since joining NWA: Show Time. First of all, what brought you here?"
Chris Jericho: "Now Vanessa, those were a lot of words coming out of the mouth of someone with an obvious lack of intellect. You actually made a statement, then asked a question. But, since I'm the magnanimous soul that I am, I'll respond to both. I like controversy. It creates buzz. It makes headlines. And, Chris Jericho is all about those headlines! As far as what brought me to NWA: Show Time...well, it was first an invitation from an old friend to take part in Halloween Havoc. How could I turn down a big payday like that?! Then, I saw what kind of damage I could do around here and decided to stay."
Craft: "You once again made waves by interfering in the CM Punk-Jordan Richards match until Sting intervened."
Jericho: "Sting?! That guy's been cramping everyone's style for thirty years! And, he ruined what should have been Punk's crowning moment!"
Craft: "That notwithstanding, what are your goals in this company?"
Jericho: "My goal is to win and make money. I might just take that Heavyweight Championship off someone. But, trust me when I tell you that whatever I do, it'll be the main event."
Craft: "There you have it, Back to you, William."
Regal: "Chris Jericho, ever the glory hog. Let's go back to the ring."
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mixed Tag Team Championship Tournament~ Adam Cole & Britt Baker vs. "Killer Smoke Show" (Killer Kross & "Smoke Show" Scarlett Bordeaux)
After a nod of respect for the former allies, it was all business. Cole and Kross engaged in a thunderous exchange of kicks. The women saw more limited action this go around. But, when they were in the ring together, Baker and Bordeaux brought the fight. In the end, it was some trickery that made the difference. Baker snuck in and caught Kross with a "Super Kick." Cole did the same. He then hit "Panama Sunrise" and followed up with "Last Shot" for the win.
Winners = Adam Cole & Britt Baker by pinfall in 17:38
Regal: "Another great tournament match and another win for Cole and Baker!"
Ranallo: "Never let it be said that Adam Cole and Britt Baker are above shortcuts!"'
Cornette: "They sure used some to win that match!"
Regal: "Yes they did! Okay fans, we have another break coming up, but our big main event is on deck when we return!"
Regal: "We're back! It's time for Matt Riddle and CM Punk to go one-on-one with a Heavyweight title shot hanging in the balance!"
Match Three ~ CM Punk with AJ Lee vs. "King of Bros" Matt Riddle
There was a long feeling out process to begin this match. After all, a week prior, these two were in the same stable. Now, they were opponents with a title shot going to the winner. They finally settled in and began throwing some huge strikes, kicks, "Suplexes," and the like. Riddle hit the "Broton" and began to feel himself. Punk tried to corral his offense, but Riddle was on fire at this point. The tide turned many times throughout. Punk had Riddle in position for "Go to Sleep," but Matt slipped out the back door and rode Punk to the mat, locking in the "Bromission." Punk screamed out in pain, but could not escape. Try as he might to gain sweet freedom, Punk was trapped. He finally tapped out.
Winner and NEW number one contender = Matt Riddle by submission in 23:44
Regal: "What a match and what a win by Matt Riddle!"
Ranallo: "This could be one of the biggest wins in Matt Riddle's relatively short career!"
Cornette: "Any time you beat a former World Champion, it's a big deal! What's even bigger for Matt Riddle is that he'll challenge Bray Wyatt next week!"
Regal: "That will be a daunting task indeed against the seemingly unstoppable 'Fiend!' We're all looking forward to seeing that one! Fans, we're out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
