William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour!"
"The Magnificent Seven" all came out with scowls on their faces. Kota Ibushi was holding the X Cup trophy he and Team Japan had won over the weekend. Co-Commissioner Ric Flair came out with them.
CM Punk: "Sting is trying to end 'The Magnificent Seven' and it's obvious he has a bias against us! He has signed Matt Riddle and I to a 'Steel Cage' match against 'The Revival' for the Tag team Championship, and he says the entire group has to wrestle 'The Richards Collective' tonight too! On top of that, he says the losing team must disband! I am the CEO of this company and I will not stand for it! Sting, you need to get out here and make this right!"
Sting: "Well, well, well. CM Punk is ticked off that he has to pull double duty, huh?! Hey ric! You and I used to do it every week! Twice on Saturdays and twice on Sundays as the NWA World Champion, right?!"
Ric Flair: "Times have changed, Sting! You're making them wrestle twice in one program!"
Sting: "I don't get it, boys! You and Riddle are supposed to be world class athletes! Riddle was a UFC phenomenon, then transitioned to pro wrestling like a duck to water! CM Punk is 'the best in the world!' You can't take care of business against 'The Revival' and 'The Richards Collective?!' It's a sad day."
Flair: "That's it! I'm Commissioner of this company and I say one of those matches must be postponed!"
Sting: "Well, I'm Commissioner too, and I say 'The Magnificent Seven' has made its bed and now they have to lie in it!"
Owner Jordan Richards came to the ring with a stoic expression on his face.
Jordan Richards: "All right! I'm the owner of this company and I'll settle this right now. 'The Revival' deserve their rematch and it was signed two weeks ago. So, that match is on tonight. Now, this struggle between 'The Richards Collective' and 'The Magnificent Seven' has come a head and something has to end it! So, that match is on as well. Sorry Phil, that's the breaks, kid!"
Punk: "This is outrageous!"
Richards: "Maybe so, but you haven't been playing fair since you took the CEO position. Turnabout's fair play! As a participant in two matches during the hour, you're a wrestler first, so you cannot act as the CEO here tonight! My decision is final! Drop the cage and let's get this Tag Team Championship match underway!"
Punk protested vehemently as the cage was lowered. Richards banished "The Magnificent Seven" from ringside.
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Texas Tornado Steel Cage" match ~ "The Magnificent Seven" (CM Punk & "King of Bros" Matt Riddle) vs. "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette
Dash and Dawson were men on a mission. They started out on fire and didn't really let up. Punk and Riddle clearly were trying to conserve energy by utilizing "rest holds." The challengers picked up the pace, a departure from their normally methodical offensive scheme. But, the plot worked brilliantly. This frustrated the champions, who made several mistakes during the match. With the cage in place, there was no outside interference attempts. The fact that Sting had banished "The Magnificent Seven" from ringside helped as well. In the end, Riddle fell victim to "Shatter Machine" after he and Punk mistimed a double-team.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag team Champions = "The Revival" by pinfall in 22:08
Regal: "There is no disputing that victory! 'The Revival' has done it once again!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Momma Mia! Dash and Dawson took the fight to CM Punk and Matt Riddle! They didn't know what hit them!"
Regal: "Jim Cornette and his troops are ecstatic, and for good reason! Fans, we're going to take a quick break! We'll be back with our huge high-stakes main event next!"
Regal: "We're back! This match is for all the marbles! The losing team must disband! CM Punk continues to protest at ringside, but Co-Commissioner Sting and owner Jordan Richards are adamant that this match will happen! It does seem a bit unfair, but perhaps 'The Magnificent Seven' is getting a taste of its own medicine! Let's find out how this will all unfold!"
Match Two ~ Losing Team Must Disband ~ "The Magnificent Seven" (CM Punk, "Ring General" WALTER, "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman, Kota Ibushi, "King of Bros" Matt Riddle, "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss, & AJ Lee) vs. "The Richards Collective" ("The Beast" Brock Lesnar, Adam Cole, "The One & Only" Ricochet, "National Treasure" Nick Aldis, "Glorious" Bobby Roode, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, & Kamilla Kaine with "Outlaw" James Storm)
Punk protested the presence of Storm, who was the odd man out in this match based on a straw drawing before the match. Sting requested that he return to the locker room. Storm relented, but not before spewing beer into Punk's eyes.
This was a wild and wooly fight, pure and simple. There was almost no rule following and the referee had very little chance of maintaining law and order. Lesnar gave everyone "German Suplexes." And, I mean everyone, including Bliss and Lee. Punk was screaming for a disqualification, but this was not listed as a "Mixed Tag Team" match and therefore was not structured under those rules. On the other side of the ring, Kaine and Baker had their shares of knocks, as they both ate massive chops from WALTER that nearly caved their chests in. There was a melee at the end. Aldis was the last man tagged in for his team, but then chaos ensued. In the confusion, Strowman blasted Roode with a chain he had pulled from his pocket. Braun made the pin before anyone else (who were fighting outside the ring) knew what was going on.
Winners = "The Magnificent Seven" by pinfall in 29:44 ("The Richards Collective" must disband)
Regal: "Oh no! 'The Richards Collective' has lost! They must disband immediately!"
Ranallo: "I can't believe it! 'TRC' has been a unit since this company began in 2015!"
Jim Cornette: "'The Richards Collective' was an institution around here, and now they're gone in favor of CM Punk's merry band of cheaters?! No way!"
Regal: "The stipulation is the stipulation. The losing team must disband. Bobby Roode was pinned after a chain shot by Braun Strowman. It's the end of an era here. Fans, we're out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
