William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, CM Punk did it last week! He is officially back under contract to NWA: Show Time!"
Mauro Ranallo: "The enigmatic cult of personality is back for good! He ran the 'gauntlet' and beat the entire 'Richards Collective' in one night!"
Jim Cornette: "I saw him get help from Braun Strowman and WALTER! He didn't do it alone!"
Regal: "Well, that notwithstanding, he completed the task is now is under contract with no more obstacles. And, even though he fought for over an hour last week in six grueling battles, he's requested a match this week! So, in our main event, Commissioner Ric Flair has signed CM Punk versus WALTER! I think that's a shot at Punk, but it should be a fantastic match nonetheless! Also on the program, Jim Cornette's 'Revival' will face Andrade 'Cien' Almas and Tommaso Ciampa from NWA: AZCW! And, we'll begin tonight with six-man action! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ "The New Face of Fear" ("Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt, Killian Dain, & Alexander Wolfe with Erick Rowan and "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis) vs. "The All-Americans" ("Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle, "Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin, & Chad Gable)
This was a mugging. Wyatt and company attacked Angle before the match began. They trashed Benjamin and Gable to the floor. Once the bell rang, they isolated Angle the entire time. They punished Kurt for several minutes and never let him get a tag. Eventually, "Sister Abigail" ended it.
Winners = "The New Face of Fear" by pinfall in 6:08
Regal: "What a dissection of Kurt Angle!"
Ranallo: "The Olympic gold medalist was blitzed before the bell and never recovered!"
Cornette: "As much as I respect Kurt Angle and his hall of fame career, he is past his prime and might need to let the younger talent handle business in the ring."
Regal: "Father Time catches up with us all eventually. Fans, we need to go to commercial. When we return, Jim's 'Revival' will look to vanquish and unfamiliar foe!"
Cornette: "And, after we do, maybe those cowards Roode and Storm will finally give us the title match we deserve!"
Regal: "Indeed. It's a match I'd love to see once again. All right folks, we'll be back shortly!"
Regal: "We're back! Jim Cornette has taken his leave to accompany Dash and Dawson to the ring for the next match. Before we go back to the ring, let's take a moment to hear from Vanessa Craft, who is standing by backstage with a special guest."
Vanessa Craft: "Thank you, William. I am here with the Television Champion, 'King of Bros,' Matt Riddle."
Matt Riddle: "Bro. That was a great introduction, Vanessa. I am happy to be here and happy to continue my quest to make the Television Championship the most sought after title in all of NWA: Show Time."
Craft: "You aren't holding your open challenge tonight, but you have been all over the territory, from the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, and Tennessee. It's been a remarkable run so far."
Riddle: "Listen bro, if this TV Championship is going to be great again, I have to take on all comers everywhere this company reaches. And, I have to take on the best competition out there."
Just then, Scarlett Bordeaux approached.
Scarlett Bordeaux: "Matt Riddle says he wants to take on the best competition out there, yet he has not faced my Killer yet."
Riddle: "Oh, so Killer Kross can't fight his own battles, so he sends out his girlfriend to do his dirty work? Bro!"
Bordeaux: "Trust me when I tell you that Killer Kross fears no man. He is in training right now, so I took the opportunity to challenge you on his behalf next week for that Television Championship."
Riddle: "You can tell that punk bro I'll see him here next week."
Bordeaux: "Dress nicely. It'll be your funeral, after all."
Riddle: "We'll see about that, bro!"
Regal: "Oh my! Matt Riddle versus Killer Kross for the Television Championship?!"
Ranallo: "Yes, please!"
Regal: "I concur! Let's go to the ring for what promises to be a fantastic tag team encounter!"
Match Two ~ "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette vs. Andrade 'Cien' Almas & Tommaso Ciampa with Zelina Vega
This match was every bit as good as advertised. Both teams pulled out all the stops and had the crowd on its collective feet throughout. Almas and Ciampa used every underhanded tactic they could pull off, but could not gain the victory. Cornette and his men had plenty of tricks up their sleeves as well. Eventually, the action broke down and the referee was trying to clear the ring. Vega hit a "Hurricanrana" on Dash. Dawson took out Ciampa with Cornette's racket. All this was done while the referee's attention was diverted. Ultimately, Almas fell victim to "Shatter Machine."
Winners = "The Revival" by pinfall in 19:46
Regal: "What a match!"
Bobby Roode and James Storm hit the ring and dismantled Dash and Dawson. They through Scott into the barricade, incapacitating him. Wilder's face was scrubbed onto the exposed floor, tearing his flesh. He writhed in pain as Roode and Storm stood triumphantly amid a chorus of boos.
Regal: "That was a dastardly attack by the Tag Team Champions!"
Ranallo: "That's multiple sneak attacks perpetrated on 'The Revival!' Jim Cornette says they're cowards. Well, they must at least be concerned by Dash and Dawson to make such an effort to take them out of play!"
Regal: "Yes, it would appear so. Let's take a break and get some help for Dash Wilder. We'll be back."
As the episode returned to air, the scene was the trainer's room, where Dash Wilder was being attended to. Scott Dawson and Jim Cornette were by his side. Cornette was screaming at staff to "take care of him!" He then left the area. The camera man followed him to Commissioner Ric Flair's office, where he swung the door open without knocking.
Ric Flair: "I'm in the middle of an important call, Jim. You'll have to come back another time."
Cornette: "I'm not coming back for anything! You're going to listen to me right now!"
Flair: "I'll have to call you back." (hangs up the phone)
Flair: "All right, Corny. What's so pressing that you had to rudely interrupt me while I was conducting business?!"
Cornette: "Yeah, like you don't know! You know good and well what just happened out there! Dash is back in the trainer's room with half his face gone!"
Flair: "Jim, that's unfortunate to hear."
Cornette: "Don't play the innocent one! You know what happened! In fact, you probably orchestrated it! We go back thirty years, Ric! How dare you do this to us!"
Flair: "All right. Let me stop you right there! I did not orchestrate anything that happened to your men. I have more important things on my plate than to worry about you or your team. What is it that you want, Jim?!"
Cornette: "I demand a match with Bobby Roode and James Storm against 'The Revival,' ASAP! We deserve a shot at those titles and they're trying to do everything in their power to keep us from getting it! If you or they have any guts, you'll sign the match!"
Flair: "Jim, you'd better stop while you still have a job! Get out of my office before I fire you!"
Cornette: "You haven't heard or seen the last of us! One way or another, that title match will happen!"
Flair: "Get out!"
Cornette slammed the door on his way out and stomped off.
Regal: "This is quickly becoming a rather volatile situation! Wow! Fans, it's main event time! Let's go to the ring for CM Punk versus WALTER!"
Match Three ~ CM Punk vs. "Ring General" WALTER
This was shaping up to be a stellar match. Punk and WALTER traded shots early to a stalemate. WALTER tattooed Punk's chest with a thunderous chop, but CM came back with a vicious body kick. Just when they started getting into the action fiercely, Ricochet and Brock Lesnar ran down and took both men out.
Winner = no contest in 4:22
Regal: "What a way to ruin the main event!"
Lesnar and Ricochet worked Punk and WALTER over, but Punk and WALTER began to make their comeback. They finally overtook Ricochet and Lesnar. Punk then grabbed a microphone.
CM Punk: "Hey! You boys looking for a fight?! Why don't we make it interesting?! How about you two versus us in a tag team match?!"
Ranallo: "Momma Mia!"
Lesnar and Ricochet agreed, so the referee rang the bell.
Match Four ~ "The Richards Collective" ("The Beast" Brock Lesnar & Ricochet with Eve Torres and AJ Lee) vs. CM Punk & WALTER
This was a melee from the word go. None of these men intended to abide by traditional tag team rules. The match looked more like a 'Texas Tornado' war than anything customary. Ultimately, the four men brawled into the crowd and the referee had no choice but to count them all out.
Winners = double countout in 14:11
Regal: "Fans, the match is over, but they're still fighting! This might end up on I-85 before it's over! We're running out of time, but we'll stay with it as long as we can! Fans, please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, Cathy Kelley is waiting over at www.nwashowtime.com for After Buzz! Catch her immediately after we sign off! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
As the episode concluded, the fight was still raging backstage.
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Kelley couldn't contain her excitement over the fight that we had just witnessed. "This thing is going to come to a head sooner, rather than later! Something has to give!" Kelley further added, "WALTER and Brock Lesnar appear to be headed on another collision course, while CM Punk might forever war with 'The Richards Collective!'" With that, Kelley signed off.
