William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! We'd like to start the night off by wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Here's wishing all the fans happy holidays!"
Jim Cornette: "Merry Christmas from Louisville!"
Regal: "Fans, in this area of the country, Christmas night was a celebrated day in the wrestling community with a huge night of wrestling in nearby Greensboro, North Carolina every year. We are bringing that same 'big card' feel to Charlotte tonight! The NWA World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in our main event, as Adam Cole takes on the United States Champion Ethan Carter III! The NWA World Tag Team Championship is on the line as 'The Young Bucks' defend against Jim Cornette's 'Revival!'"
Cornette: "That's gonna tear the house down! And, we will walk away with a huge prize for Christmas in those title belts!"
Ranallo: "Jim, how do you feel about the Twitter war that has gone on over the last couple of weeks between 'The Revival' and 'The Young Bucks?' Specifically, the way Matt and Nick Jackson have mocked Dash and Dawson's use of the 'FTR' hashtag."
Cornette: "Everyone in the world knows that 'FTR' stands for, 'Forever The Revival.' Those no-talent 'spot monkeys' have made light of it, saying that the 'F' stands for something I dare not utter on television! It's blasphemy of the greatest tag team in the sport!"
Regal: "It is disrespectful, I'll give you that. But, your men will have a chance to get some retribution, as well as the biggest win of their careers! It's going to be a fantastic hour! Let's get it started!"
Match One ~ Jay Lethal with Truth Martini & "Hoopla Hotties" (Zahra and Dana) vs. Brian Pillman, Jr.
Pillman, a graduate of the "Show Time Dojo" developmental program, is a fine athlete and has his father's instincts. Still, Lethal owned the offense as the clear veteran of the match. Pillman displayed his father's sometimes cocky attitude at spurts during the match as well, especially when he was on the offensive. Lethal seemed to be in control and called for the "Lethal Injection." Before he could hit it, this graphic flashed on the tron:
Lethal and his seconds were taken aback by this symbol. Suddenly, they were being attacked from behind by two assailants. Pillman soon joined in.
Winner = Jay Lethal by disqualification in 7:38
Eventually, their identities became apparent to all.
Regal: "That's Davey Boy Smith, Jr., and...is that Teddy Hart?!"
Ranallo: "Momma Mia! Teddy Hart is in the building! The bad boy of the Hart clan is here! But, why?!"
Cornette: "They've come in to save Brian Pillman! That's obvious. But, why is Teddy Hart here tonight?!"
Teddy Hart grabbed a microphone.
Teddy Hart: "What you are looking at represents the past, present, and future of professional wrestling! Our parents bled and sweat for this sport! They paved the way for us to stand out here and do this every night! That deserves your respect! Davey and I belong to the legendary Hart family! Brain and his dad might as well be family! 'Flyin' Brian was trained by my grandpa Stu and Junior is a chip off the old block! We've trained together! We've run the roads together! We've smashed skulls together! And now, we're going to take over NWA: Show Time together! Lance Hoyt will be shoulder-to-shoulder with us next week and you will be introduced to the 'New Hart Foundation!'"
Regal: "So, I guess we are to assume that Teddy Hart is a member of the Show Time roster now?! And, the second coming of the 'Hart Foundation' is upon us?! What a lot to take in! Fans, let's take a commercial break. We'll be back with the first of two NWA World Championship matches!"
Regal: "We're back! Jim Cornette has taken his leave and is set to join Dash and Dawson as they attempt to take home the NWA World Tag Team Championship from 'The Young Bucks' in what has become a war of words recently on social media! Will this become a war of attrition in the ring? Let's find out!"
Match Two ~ NWA World Tag Team Championship ~ "The Young Bucks" (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette
Winners and STILL NWA World Tag Team Champions = "The Young Bucks" by pinfall in 22:09
Regal: "A big title defense for Matt and Nick Jackson, but it was not without controversy!"
Ranallo: "It appeared that Dash Wilder was the legal man. But, Scott Dawson got pinned!"
Regal: "Jim Cornette is pleading with the referee, but his cries are falling on deaf ears! Fans, we'd better take a commercial break and try to get Jim calmed down before he rejoins us on commentary for the main event! Stay with us!"
A special commercial aired with several NWA: Femme Fatales stars wishing fans a Merry Christmas.
Regal: "We're back and Jim Cornette is with us in the commentary booth once again. Jim, it seems a bit of bad luck cost you that match."
Cornette: "Bad luck?! It was out-and-out chicanery! The pinfall shouldn't count if the wrong man was pinned! That crooked ref and those idiot 'spot monkeys' conspired to keep 'The Revival' from winning what's rightfully theirs!"
Regal: "Actually, we agree that the non-legal man was pinned. But Jim, the show, as they say, must go on."
Cornette: "The censors might wanna get their bleep buttons ready! I'm ticked off!"
Regal: "Well Jim, try and keep it together. We must continue on to our main event. It's a rare treat to have a World Heavyweight Championship match on this program! Adam Cole is set to defend against the de facto number one contender in United States Champion Ethan Carter III! This should be a pro wrestling clinic! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Three ~ NWA World Heavyweight Championship ~ Adam Cole with Britt Baker & Kamilla Kaine vs. Ethan Carter III
The match began in rapid fire mode. Cole landed a kick and punch to Carter. He then he sent ECIII into the turnbuckles and kicked him again. Carter reversed, putting Adam into the corner and chopping him hard. Ethan hit some more chops and followed up with a "Bodylam." Ethan nailed Cole with the "One Percenter Elbow." Both men tumbled through the ropes to the floor. Cole tried to attack Carter from behind while he focused on the Baker and Kaine, but Cole’s kick was blocked and ECIII sent him into the apron. Cole with a landed a quick "Thrust Kick" as Carter returned to the ring. Cole threw Carter into the turnbuckles and kicked him in the chest. Cole continued the attack with a "Neckbreaker." Adam then landed an "Elbow Drop." Cole was relentless with forearms and kicks in the corner. Adam dropped Ethan with another "Neckbreaker" for a near fall. Cole attempted to wear down Carter with a "Front Facelock." Ethan fought his way up and seemed to be gaining momentum, only to be turned back with a "Bicycle Kick" and that got another near fall. Frustrated, Cole choked Carter in the ropes. Cole kicked at Carter in the corner. ECIII reversed again with a kick and some chops. Cole reversed again with a knee and then rained down some forearms in the corner. Carter came roaring back on the offensive. He threw Adam across the ring with an "Irish Whip," but Carter missed a "Stinger Splash," landing awkwardly into the turnbuckles. Cole came back with an "Ushigoroshi" for a third near fall. Adam went back to the "Front Facelock." Adam brilliantly transitioned into a "Guillotine Choke" and added a "Body Scissors," but ECIII countered with a "Suplex" and both men were down in center ring. Ethan fired up with punches followed by a "Back Elbow" and "Running Forearm." Carter finally landed the "Stinger Splash" and followed it up with a "German Suplex." Carter went for the "One Percenter," but Cole escaped. Adam attempted and missed a "Bicycle Kick." ECIII leveled Adam with a "Sitout Powerbomb" that got a very close two-count. Baker jumped to the apron and distracted Carter long enough for Cole to recover and drop him with a "Super Kick." Ethan reversed an "Irish Whip" into a "Clothesline." Carter couldn't capitalize because he was slyly tripped up by Kaine, who was vehemently admonished by the referee (who saw the trip out of the corner of his eye). Cole was able to hit another "Super Kick" and his "Last Shot." ECIII was down for the three count.
Winner and STILL NWA World Heavyweight Champion = Adam Cole by pinfall in 23:47
Regal: "Just a fantastic back-and-forth match that could have done without the interference from Adam Cole's two female companions!"
Ranallo: "Ethan Carter gave it everything he had, but came up just short after timely interference by Kamilla Kaine!"
Cornette: "She's an insurance policy! What do you expect?!"
Regal: "Indeed. Well fans, we hope you've enjoyed this special Christmas edition of the Show Time Power Hour! Please join us right back here on TBS next Tuesday for the first broadcast of two thousand nineteen! And, as always, please log onto www.nwashowtime.com for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following our broadcast! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William regal, saying ta ta for now!"
