"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 91 (Week 181)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. with me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, it's going to be a whale of an hour here tonight!"

Mauro Ranallo: "It's the giving season and we're giving away plenty of action here tonight!"

Jim Cornette: "Yes sir! My 'Revival' will give the gift that keeps on giving, when they successfully defend the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship!"

Regal: "Indeed. 'The Revival' will take on Kota Ibushi and Angelico in what should be a fantastic match! In our main event, Braun Strowman will battle Bray Wyatt for Wyatt's custom championship! This stems from an incident at a weekend live event where Wyatt smashed that title over Strowman's head. We'll see it come to a head tonight! But first, we'll start the night off with a match pitting two former trainees whose late fathers were comtemporaries. It's David Benoit vs. Brian Pillman, Jr! Let's go to the ring!"

Match One ~ David Benoit vs. Brian Pillman, Jr.

Benoit has his father's tenacity and aerial ability, while Pillman has his father's charisma and unpredictability. It was a fine match, with both men trading offense and counter wrestling. Pillman used his dad's signature "Dropkick" to great success, while Benoit hit a "Diving Headbutt" that got the crowd to its feet. It looked like Benoit would take it home. He did the throat slash gesture, signaling for the "Crippler Crossface." Just then, the house lights went out.

Immediately, 'The New Church' theme blared over the PA system, bringing out the group. The Sinister Minister had a microphone.

Sinister Minister: "I told the world that judgment was coming. Well, 'Judgment' has drawn nigh!"

This hulking figure came to the ring.

Minister: "Sometimes, the 'Priest of Punishment' absolves your sins, but 'Judgment' comes for everyone!"

"The New Church" Began to lay the boots to Pillman and Benoit. The referee rang the bell.

Winner = no contest in 9:48

Judas and the new man (the former Punishment Martinez) pulled off stereo "El Crucifejos." The group posed in the ring to a chorus of boos.

Regal: "What devastation from 'The New Church!'"

Ranallo: "Momma Mia! I guess this is what 'Judgment' looks like!"

Cornette: "I've always said I was an atheist, but I just might start praying!"

Regal: "That may be a good idea, Jim! Fans, let's take a break. We'll be back with the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship match next!"

Regal: "Fans, we're back! Before we go to the ring for our next match, we'd like you to take a listen to this exclusive interview conducted with Ricochet and AJ Lee."

The scene shifted to a pre-recorded interview conducted by Vanessa Craft.

Vanessa Craft: "I am here with Mid-Atlantic Champion Ricochet and his manager AJ Lee. Ricochet, you recently lost and won back the championship very quickly from Kota Ibushi. That is no small feat. He's considered one of the finest wrestlers in the world."

Ricochet: "But, he's not better than I am. Kota Ibushi is not 'The One & Only.' You see, when he beat me, it was a fluke. I proved it by taking my title back so quickly."

Craft: "Now, you've defended against many top stars and continue to do so. What's on the horizon?"

Ricochet: "Continued dominance, not only for me and AJ, but for 'The Richards Collective' as a whole. We've got the Heavyweight, Tag Team, and Mid-Atlantic Champions. That's the top three titles in the company. Plus, Adam Cole has the World Championship locked down. That won't change in two thousand nineteen."

Craft: "AJ, I have a question for you. How have things been with you and your husband CM Punk. We all know he's been banished from NWA: Show Time for one year. But, he seems to be flourishing in WILD as their World Champion."

AJ Lee: "I don't normally answer questions of a personal nature, Vanessa. But, I'll humor you. Things are fine between Phil and I. He is doing quite well in WILD. Their level of competition might not be quite what he was used to in NWA: Show Time. But, he's proving he's one of the best there is."

Craft: "Has he expressed his plans after the year suspension is lifted? Will he look to resign a contract? Or, is he exploring other options?"

Ricochet: "Whoa, whoa, whoa! This was supposed to be an interview with me, not CM Punk! That guy doesn't even work here right now! I know AJ is his wife, but he's yesterday's news! Either ask me a question or we're done here!"

Craft: "Um, I uh..."

Ricochet: "That's it! AJ, we're out of here! She's not worth our time!"

Lee: "You're right. Lets go."

Regal: "Well, that ended abruptly. Obviously, Vanessa Craft struck a nerve. Let's go to the ring for our Mid-Atlantic Tag team Championship match!"

Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship ~ "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette vs. Kota Ibushi & Angelico

After a brilliant thirty-minute battle, the champions prevailed following a Cornette distraction led to "Shatter Machine."

Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions = "The Revival" by pinfall in 30:18

Regal: "What a match! Fans, we have to take a break. Our main event is next!"

Regal: "We're back! For the sake of time, which is rapidly running out, let's go to the ring for the main event!"

Match Three ~ for Bray Wyatt's custom championship ~ "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis vs. "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman with "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss

Winner and NEW (Wyatt Custom) "Universal" Champion = Braun Strowman by pinfall in 12:12

Regal: "Braun Strowman is a fire raging out of control! He decimated Bray Wyatt, who is one of the most feared competitors in the world!"

Ranallo: "Since he had the NWA World Championship stolen from him at Starrcade, Braun in inconsolable!"

Cornette: "All I know is that I wouldn't want to be Adam Cole if an angry three hundred eighty-five-pound monster was on my tail!"

After the match, Braun took the championship belt and looked at it disgustedly. He screamed, "This isn't the one I want!" He then ripped it in half, throwing the two fragments onto Wyatt's chest.

Regal: "What a display of strength! Braun Strowman tore that heavy leather strap like it was a piece of paper! So much for Bray Wyatt's custom championship! Fans, we're all out of time. As the episode went off the air, Strowman marched up the ramp, then saluted fans with a roar before disappearing backstage.

NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.

Instead of her normal format, Cathy was in advertising mode. She hyped the NWA: Show Time online store (www.shopshowtime.com) for "all those last-minute Christmas gift ideas for that wrestling fan in your life!" Some of the merchandise selections were shown (as modeled by new trainee Mariah Mead).

With a final greeting, Kelley signed off.
