"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 90 (Week 180)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette. Men, we're less than a week removed from the biggest Starrcade ever, and history was made as Adam Cole has become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion!"

Mauro Ranallo: "In a match marred by controversy, Adam Cole and Kamilla Kaine stole the World Championship from 'The Monster Among Men!'"

Jim Cornette: "I saw Adam Cole pin Braun Strowman. David beat Goliath! Simple as that!"

Regal: "Britt Baker and Kamilla Kaine definitely made the difference in this one! Without their interference, Adam Cole wouldn't be holding the richest prize in the sport right now! Either way fans, Adam Cole is the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. We will hear from he and Britt Baker later in the program. Also at Starrcade, Brock Lesnar was defeated by Brian Cage in the most unconventional way! Cage forklifted a pallet onto Lesnar, pinning him to the floor backstage. Brock has been enraged since last Thursday. He will be on the warpath tonight, as we've heard he is making his way to the arena as we speak. We have a great episode lined up tonight! Bobby Roode and James Storm will defend the Tag Team Championship against the Usos in what hopefully will be a two-on-two match-up." (Regal leers at Cornette while making this statement)

Cornette: "What are you staring at me for?!"

Regal: "I can only hope your men don't interfere in the match like last time."

Cornette: "I make no promises."

Regal: "I'm not surprised. Also on the program, Kota Ibushi, Matt Riddle, and Angelico will form a dream team to face 'Catch Point' in what should be a fantastic match! We'll start the program off with singles competition, as 'Priest of Punishment' Mikeal Judas takes on Jon Skyler! Let's go to the ring!"

Match One ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas with Priestess Skyler Moon & The Sinister Minister vs. "Southern Savior" Jon Skyler

Winner = Mikael Judas by pinfall in 16:12

Regal: "Impressive win by the big man!"

Ranallo: "Impressive indeed! But, I have to say that Jon Skyler showed me something tonight! He dominated portions of this match against a much larger opponent!"

Cornette: "I agree, Mauro! Man, that tasted sour coming out of my mouth! But, Jon Skyler has some untapped potential!"

Regal: "Fans, don't go away! We'll be back in just a moment with more action!"

Regal: "We're back! As we promised earlier, we will have a word with the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole and his girlfriend Britt Baker. They are at his vacation home in Panama City, Florida. 'SoCal' Val was on location earlier today to conduct the exclusive interview. Let's go to that now."

The scene shifted to an outdoor location. "SoCal" Valerie Wyndham was sitting with Cole and Baker.

Valerie Wyndham: "I am here with the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole and Britt Baker."

Adam Cole: "Ah, don't you like the sound of that, bay bay?"

Britt Baker: "You know I do."

Wyndham: "Adam, I know you and your camp are riding pretty high right now, having come out victorious at Starrcade against Braun Strowman. But, you have to admit that the match ended with quite a bit of controversy."

Cole: "The only thing controversial here is that you are insinuating my win is tainted somehow. I'm sitting here as THE NWA World Heavyweight Champion. I now hold the most prestigious championship in sports! I've said for years that I am the best d*** pro wrestler on the planet. The title proves it!"

Wyndham: "But, Britt and Kamilla Kaine both interfered on your behalf during the match and led directly to the finish. Britt wasn't even supposed to be out there."

Baker: "Listen Val, you are pushing your! All I did was protect the interests of my man. Alexa Bliss has interfered in plenty of matches involving Braun Strowman, doing all she can to protect the title. Well, I returned the favor."

Wyndham: "Moving on. Conspicuous by their absence right now is Kamilla Kaine and the World Championship belt. Where are they?"

Cole: "Kamilla is taking care of some business inside. She keeps close watch over the championship. It never gets out of her sight. Trust me. The ten pounds of gold is in good hands."

Wyndham: "So, what's next for Adam Cole?"

Cole: "Well, specifically, I'll begin traveling the world, restoring the honor and prestige to this championship that it richly deserves. I will dominate the world and I will raise the profile of NWA: Show Time."

Wyndham: "Now last week, we saw you lose the Television Championship to Aleister Black after interference from Braun Strowman. Will there be any retribution sought for that?"

Cole: "I believe taking the World Championship from him is retribution enough."

Wyndham: "Speaking of Strowman, any idea when he might receive his contractually obligated rematch?"

Cole: "No time soon, Valerie. The World Champion has a long list of contracted challengers already lined up. So, Braun will have to wait his turn."

Wyndham: "Fair enough. But, you know he'll be gunning for you."

Cole: "I expect as much. But, I have my team in place. We'll protect what's ours for a long, long time to come."

Wyndham: "Thank you for your time."

Cole: "Of course. Now, if you'd see yourself out, I'd like to get back to my vacation."

Regal: "Well then, it's clear that Adam Cole is going to do whatever it takes to keep that championship around his waist."

Cornette: "You would have done the same in your active days, Billy."

Regal: "Indeed. All right fans. Let's go back to the ring for six-man action!"

Match Two ~ "Catch Point" ("No Fly" Drew Gulak, "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams, & "Bonafide" Fred Yehi) vs. Kota Ibushi, "King of Bros" Matt Riddle, & Angelico

This was everything we expected it to be. There was classic chain wrestling. There was insane athletic displays. There were stiff strikes and kicks. There was a chop battle. And, Angelico did a dive from the top rope to the floor. Ultimately, Ibushi nailed Yehi with the "Phoenix Plex," which led to the "Bromission" and tapout by Riddle.

Winners = Kota Ibushi, Matt Riddle, & Angelico by submission in 18:23

Regal: "Fantastic match with a frenetic ending sequence!"

Ranallo: "The 'dream team' has done it! What a match!"

Cornette: "There was a lot of action in that one! It's what we've come to expect with the Cruiserweights! It looks like Matt Riddle may have vanquished his former friends for good."

Regal: "I would say so. Fans, we're going to take another break. We'll be back with more in just a moment!"

Regal: "We're back! It's Tag Team Championship time!"

Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Glorious" Bobby Roode & "Cowboy" James Storm with Maryse Ouellet vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso with "The Bad Guy" Scott Hall

These are two of the best tag teams in the last fifteen years. They represent why NWA: Show Time has the best tag team division in the sport. The Usos dominated early. Roode and Storm came on and took over the rest of the match, focusing on Jimmy and his left shoulder. The end of the match was nearly ruined by the appearance of "Camp Cornette," which came to spoil the party. However, they were cut off by "The Forgotten Sons," who made sure that they didn't get involved. The referee left the ring to try and get the extracurriculars under control. Just then, Brock Lesnar appeared from the back and stalked down to ringside. Jey Uso was thrown out of the ring. Lesnar scooped him up and "F-5'ed" him into the steel corner post. He threw him back into the ring. Lesnar then nailed Scott Hall with a "Clothesline" on the floor. The champions hit "D.W.I." on a prone Jey for the victory.

Winners and STILL NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = Bobby Roode & James Storm by pinfall in 14:33

After the match, Lesnar gave both Usos "F-5's" and screamed into the camera.

Regal: "We knew Regal would strike tonight eventually. Unfortunately for the Usos, they were the object of his ire. But, I would surmise that he only sees Brian Cage right now.
