William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, we have a night filled with championship matches!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Momma Mia, is this a pivotal episode or what?! So much can change based on this one hour!"
Jim Cornette: "I know one thing that's about to change! The Tag Titles are coming back home!"
Regal: "Yes, Jim's team of 'The Insurgence' will challenge new champions 'Sons of Steel!' Also, Pete Dunne squares off with Kota Ibushi and the Cruiserweight Championship is on the line! In our main event, Alexa Bliss defends the Television championship against Adam Cole! Let's get to it!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ "Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne vs. Kota Ibushi
This was shaping up to be a fantastic match. Both men were at their best. Ibushi flew around the ring like a master aerial wizard. Dunne was at his precision best, using joint manipulation to ground Ibushi at every opportunity. It was a titanic back and forth struggle. Just when it looked like Ibushi might have the upper hand and be poised for victory, the match was hijacked by "Euro Trash" at the leading of Joanna Rose. The referee immediately rang the bell.
Winner = no contest in 15:08 (Dunne retains)
All three men, like thugs in a back alley, attacked both men and left them laying until "Moustache Mountain" made the save. Joanna Rose grabbed the house mic as her charges fled to ringside.
Joanna Rose: "The time for games is over! 'British Strong Style,' we're coming for you!"
Regal: "My my, Joanna Rose certainly has taken a dark turn!"
Ranallo: "Her influence has turned 'Euro Trash' into a gang of guerilla warriors, attacking from the shadows!"
Cornette: "You have to take the bull by the horns if you want to get ahead! I'll applaud her for that much!"
In a show of respect, Dunne and Ibushi shook hands. Dunne, in turn, pulled Ibushi in close, mouthing the words, "We'll meet again." Ibushi nodded as they all left the ring.
Regal: "Fans, we have to take a break. We'll be back with the Tag Team Championship match next!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, we've given Jim Cornette his leave. Let's see if he can bring the championship back to 'Camp Cornette.'"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag team Championship ~ "Sons of Steel" (Boomer Payne & Brice Anthony) vs. "The Insurgence" (Kevin Steen & Claudio Castagnoli) with Jim Cornette
Jim Cornette made his presence felt early in this one, causing Brice Anthony to be overtaken by Steen and Claudio for quite some time in this match. Brice is double tough and he had to be to withstand the onslaught for as long as he did. Cornette's game plan of isolation worked to perfection, except for the fact that Anthony refused to be beaten. There was a sequence 3/4 of the way through the match where Cornette was choking Anthony on the bottom rope while Steen had the referee distracted. Before Boomer could assist, "Universal Soldier" Gunner ran out to confront "Corny." Jim begged off as Gunner stalked him. "The Revival" made the save by jumping Gunner from behind. This prompted a mass run-in by Jon Skyler, Jason Justice, and Mike Madden. While the melee ensued outside the ring, Brice made the tag inside. Payne hit the ring and went "flip, flop, and fly" a la Dusty Rhodes, taking out his adversaries. It was chaos everywhere as the referee tried to control the situation. "SoS" set up for "Steel Curtain," but Anthony was shoved off the top rope and crotched by Scott Dawson. Castagnoli took out Payne while Steen covered a prone Anthony. All the while, the fight continued outside the ring.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Insurgence" by pinfall in 20:13
Regal: "Cornette's crew stole the belts back!"
Ranallo: "What a miscarriage of justice!"
Regal: "That was a travesty to be sure! Fans, we need to take another break! We'll be back with more in just a moment. Stay with us!"
As the episode came back from commercial, "The Forgotten Sons" were voicing their frustrations in the offices of Jordan Richards and Ric Flair.
Boomer Payne: "I know you saw that out there! We just won those titles and they stole them right back!"
Brice Anthony: "The 'boys' are up inside my belly right now! You're just going to let that happen?!"
Jordan Richards: "Calm down, guys! Listen, I go back a long way with all of you guys. That's why you're in this company now. Ric, let's make it right."
Ric Flair: "All right. 'Sons of Steel' get their rematch next week, but this time in will be a 'Lumberjack' match. Since all you guys want to get involved, you'll all be out there! But, so will 'Camp Cornette' and any allies they might have. If you truly are better than 'The Insurgence,' you'll prove it next week."
Payne: "Fine! We'll show world that we're the best tag team in this company!"
Gunner: "And, no one will be able to ignore 'The Forgotten Sons' any longer!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back from the break. I just have to say to you, Jim Cornette, that I don't see how you sleep at night winning matches the way you do, with blatant interference like what we just saw!"
Cornette: "what you saw was the dissection of 'Sons of Steel' by 'The Insurgence' and the Tag Team Championship coming home like I said it would! Ha ha!"
Ranallo: "Well, you may not be able to enjoy those title s for long. You heard the announcement that you'll defend them next week in a 'Lumberjack' match!"
Cornette: "You think I'm worried about that?! We proved it tonight, and we'll prove it again next week! 'Camp Cornette' is the best in tag team wrestling! Always has been. Always will be!"
Regal: "We'll see about that. Fans, it's almost time for our main event! Let's take you to 'SoCal' Val, who's standing by with the Television Champion Alexa Bliss and the World Heavyweight Champion Braun Strowman."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with 'Team Little Big.' Tonight, Alexa Bliss will defend the Television Championship against Adam Cole, the only 'Grand Slam' Champion in NWA: Show Time history. Alexa, this may be your stiffest test to date."
Alexa Bliss: "Valerie, I'm 'The Goddess' of NWA: Show Time. Do you know what that means?! It means I'm the best! I've held this title for four months now! Nothing will stop me as long as I have my big boy Braun here to watch my back!"
Wyndham: "About Braun, many people have speculated that you only won and have kept the championship because he's protected you in your matches."
Bliss: "That's a load of garbage spewed out by a bunch of haters because they can't beat me! I'll prove that tonight against Jordan Richards' golden boy Adam Cole! He's going down in a cloud of 'Twisted Bliss' just like all the rest!"
Wyndham: "You heard it here. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thanks, Val! Fans, it's time for the main event! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss with "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman (NWA World Heavyweight Champion) vs. Adam Cole with Britt Baker
Cole and Baker came out and awaited the champion. Bliss and Braun came out of the entrance. Braun immediately was attacked by Bobby Roode, James Storm, and Ricochet, while Bliss was taken down by AJ Lee. The guys handcuffed Strowman to the Security railing while Lee dragged Bliss to the ring and threw her in. Cole demanded the referee ring the bell. Bliss relented without much choice. A soon as the bell rang, Cole hit a "Super Kick" that nearly took her out of her boots. As Bliss struggled to get to her knees, Adam nailed the "Last Shot" ("Shining Wizard") to the back of her head. The pin was academic from there.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Adam Cole by pinfall in 0:38
Regal: "Like it or not, 'The Richards Collective' had a master plan that worked to perfection and Adam Cole is a two-time Television Champion!"
Ranallo: "He struck immediately! Alexa Bliss had no chance!"
Cornette: "Order is restored and a man once again hold's a men's championship! Alexa Bliss didn't have her insurance policy and she got exposed, plain and simple!"
Regal: "Indeed! Wait a minute! Braun has broken the hand cuffs and is coming to the ring!"
Strowman took out his accosters on the way to Cole. Adam fled the ring as Strowman slid in. Cole laughed with baker as they backed up the ramp. Strowman, after checking on Bliss, grabbed a microphone.
Braun Strowman: "Not so fast, adam! You don't get away that easy! I want you in the ring right now!"
The fans roared, but Cole continued to backpedal, smiling all the while.
Strowman: "I know you're a coward who likes to sneak attack us! That's fine! You want to steal a title! That's fine! But, you put your hands on Alexa?! No fine! I want you in a match right now, punk! But, I know you won't accept it, so I'll sweeten the pot! How about I put the World Title on the line! Will you get in the ring then?!"
Cole stopped and looked intrigued. He came back to ringside and took a microphone.
Adam Cole: "You're going to put the World Championship on the line against me right now?! Fine! Let's do it!"
Regal: "What?! We have an impromptu World Championship match on the program!"
Match Four ~ NWA World Heavyweight Championship ~ "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman with "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss vs. Adam Cole with Britt Baker
Strowman manhandled Cole, as you might imagine. This was a glorified squash match with Cole only getting short burst of offense that were cut off almost immediately. The match went on for about ten minutes that way. Cole got about three or four minutes of sustained offense, but Braun came roaring back. He had Cole in position for the "Running Powerslam," which would have ended it, but "The Richards Collective" interfered.
Winner and STILL NWA World Heavyweight Champion = Braun Strowman by disqualification in 13:54
Regal: "Braun wins the battle, but he's fighting a war right now!"
Ranallo: "Braun Strowman has his hands full with 'The Richards Collective!' I guess even a monster has trouble when it's four-on-one!"
Cornette: "Braun Strowman is big and tough, but no one can stop 'The Richards Collective,' especially at full force!"
Strowman was left laying as Bliss looked on. Eventually, she covered him as "The Richards Collective" backed off and admired their work. Adam Cole dangled the TV Championship in front of her face as she screamed, "Get out of here!"
Cole laughed and the group walked away triumphantly. Cole grabbed the World Championship belt and threw it over his shoulder as well.
Regal: "Adam Cole stole the Television Championship and now he has taken the World Heavyweight Championship as well! What an hour we've seen! Two new champions have been crowned and some volatile situations have erupted! Please join us again next Tuesday on TNT for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't forget to log onto www.nwashowtime.com to catch After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following our broadcast! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Kelley was beside herself at the ending sequence of the program. She spoke of the mugging that led to Alexa Bliss losing the TV Championship. She talked of the aftermath that eventually saw Braun Strowman left laying in a scene that has rarely occurred in his career. Kelley then speculated that there would be restitution to pay for Adam Cole, who now owns the Television Championship and has procured the World Title without winning it. Kelley signed off with this sentiment: "Braun Strowman is 'The Monster Among Men' already. How dangerous will he be with a vendetta?"
