Before the traditional episode intro, the scene opened to the arena back lot. NWA: Stars & Stripes Heavyweight Champion Brian Cage was seen walking up to the rear building entrance, where he was met by Security. Cage threatened the Officers, "I'm coming in, like it or not. We can do this the easy way or the hard way."
The Lead Officer responded, "No need for violence, Mr. Cage. We have specific instructions to allow your entry. Follow us."
Cage followed Security into the building.
The normal weekly episode intro was aired.
William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Gents, we have quite a volatile situation that has developed over the last several days!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Momma Mia! The massive cyborg Brian Cage has called out 'The Richards Collective' to a fight on Twitter!"
Jim Cornette: "Yeah, Brian Cage has made quite a stir, but I don't think he'll be happy with the fallout!"
Regal: "Yes, we'll see some sort of confrontation here tonight. We know that Brian Cage is in the building. Speaking of 'Fallout,' Jim, your men 'The Insurgence' will be challenging Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions 'War Machine' on the program!"
Cornette: "I see what you did there, but I'm not impressed! What you meant to say is that we'll be winning those titles and adding to 'Camp Cornette's' hardware!"
Regal: "That remains to be seen. Also on the program, Television Champion Alexa Bliss will defend against CM Punk in our main event! We'll begin the program with singles action involving 'The New Church' and 'House of Truth!' Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas with Priestess Skyler Moon & The Sinister Minister vs. "Born Winner" Mike Madden with Truth Martini & "Hoopla Hotties" (Shotzi Blakkhartt, Zahra, and Dana Adiva)
This was pretty one-sided. Madden had little offense against Judas, who is much larger and stronger. Mike managed to get in a few signature moves, but nothing that allowed sustained offense. Martini was berating him to "Take charge!," but Madden had no answers for the massive Judas. Mikael ended it with "El Crucifejo."
Winner = Mikael Judas by pinfall in 7:38
Regal: "Mikael Judas looked awfully impressive against Mike Madden there! He is a force to be reckoned with!"
Ranallo: "Truth Martini looks none too pleased with his charge Madden!"
Cornette: "Well, Mike Madden did stink up the joint, kind of like a certain tag team I felt sorry for and tried to mentor."
Regal: "I can only assume you're talking about Show Time originals 'Sons of Steel.' What a cheap shot. Nevertheless, it looks like Mike Madden is having words with Truth Martini."
Martini once again berated Madden, screaming, "No one even knew your name before me!" Madden had enough and finally shoved him to the mat and walked out on his own.
Regal: "Wow! It looks like Mike Madden had enough of Truth Martini's mouth! Let's take a commercial break. We'll be back with some interesting footage sent to us. stay tuned!"
Regal: "We're back! As promised, here is some video that we received earlier this week. We wanted to air it on the program today. Take a look."
A pre-recorded video aired. The scene was the Lake of Reincarnation at the Hardy Compound in Cameron, NC. "Broken Soldier" Gunner, "Broken Savior" Jon Skyler, and "Broken Bomb" Jason Justice were standing near the lake.
Jon Skyler: "It seems that 'The Great War' is taking place without us."
Gunner: "Yes, our leader has chosen to leave us behind and focus on the rest."
Jason Justice: "We have been forgotten."
Skyler: "This must end. Our only recourse is repair. We are 'Broken' no more.
Each man stepped into the Lake of reincarnation and came out as his former persona.
Gunner: "The 'Universal Soldier' is present and reporting for duty. Let the new mission begin."
Justice: "Hehehehe! Tick, tick, tick, tick!"
Skyler: "Ah yes! Your 'Southern Savior' is back! It feels good to be myself again! Gentlemen, let's get out of this cesspool!"
The three men left the compound together.
Regal: "Very interesting development. It seems that Gunner, Skyler, and Justice felt left out of 'The Broken Universe' they had been a part of for many months. They apparently have been 'reincarnated' back to their original selves. We'll see how that plays out in the near future I am sure. Fans, let's go back to the ring for tag team action!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship ~ "War Machine" ("WarBeard" Hanson & Raymond "Death" Rowe) vs. "The Insurgence" (Kevin Steen & Claudio Castagnoli) with Jim Cornette
This was a classic old school tag team match. It was "power team" vs. "technical team," akin to "The Road Warriors" vs. Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson, except that "War Machine" is even more dynamic in its move set. Hanson and Rowe dominated the early going. Rowe was caught and spent several minutes on the defense with Steen and Castagnoli isolating him. Rowe fought hard to make the tag, finally escaping Claudio's grasp to do so. Hanson cleaned house, hitting his "Spinkick of Doom" on both opponents. It looked as if the finish was academic, but Hanson was double-teamed and fell into the clutches of Steen's "Package Piledriver." Before Kevin could cover, the "Sons of Steel" entrance music played. Steen and Castagnoli waited anxiously for their former stable mates turned rivals to come down the aisle. They never did. Rowe dumped Claudio over the top rope and the champions hit "Fallout" on Steen for the win.
Winners and STILL NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions = "War Machine" by pinfall in 18:11
Regal: "What a ruse from Boomer Payne and Brice Anthony! They got Steen and Claudio's attention without even coming to the ring!"
Ranallo: "They pulled a fast one 'The Insurgence' and cost them the match without even showing up!"
Payne and Anthony stepped out from behind the curtain in their street clothes and waved at "The Insurgence," which was trying to recover in the ring.
Cornette was livid at ringside and threw a tantrum.
Regal: "Let's take a break while we wait for our broadcast colleague Jim Cornette to cool down. We'll be back in just a moment!"
Regal: "Welcome back to the Show Time Power Hour! Fans, we're about to go to the ring for the next defense in Alexa Bliss' historic Television Championship reign! She will face her toughest test to date in the form of perennial top star CM Punk! I can't wait to see that one!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss with "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman vs. CM Punk
Punk absolutely dominated Bliss from bell to bell. Alexa had virtually no offense against Punk. Strowman, the reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion, had a look of real concern on his face. He saw his partner's championship slipping away. Punk nailed his patented "GTS" finisher and covered Bliss for what everyone knew would be the three-count. At the last second, Braun dragged Bliss' lifeless body out from underneath Punk and to the outside of the ring. Punk went ballistic. The referee yelled at Braun and eventually dismissed him from ringside. Braun protested, but finally relented. The fans booed as he walked to the back. Bliss had a look of desperation as her insurance policy walked away. Alexa tried to escape back out of the ring, but Punk grabbed her at the ropes. The referee got in between to try and separate the combatants. While this was going on, Ricochet ran in from the crowd and blasted Punk in the back with a chairshot. Bliss held onto the referee as Ricochet fled the ring. Then, she released the official and climbed to the top rope, where she executed her "Twisted Bliss" for the pin.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Alexa Bliss by pinfall in 15:22
Regal: "Alexa Bliss with the assist from Ricochet, and before that Braun Strowman, to once again retain her title!"
Ranallo: "Alexa Bliss must have a horseshoe hanging around her neck, because she has retained her championship every time out against some pretty stiff competition and she's had a lot of help to do it!"
Cornette: "A horseshoe?! She's had a three hundred eighty-five-pound horseshoe! Tonight, she had two of them!"
Regal: "Indeed. Nevertheless, she's still the Television Champion and CM Punk is still being targeted by his former partner Ricochet. Wait, I'm hearing from the production truck that there is a disturbance in the back!"
The scene cut to backstage, where Brian Cage was laying out Security Officers left and right.
Cage: "I don't care what Jordan Richards said, I'm tired of waiting! It's time for action right now!"
Cage completed his decimation of the Security force and marched to the ring. When he made his way down the entrance, the fans were cheering. They knew something big was about to happen.
Cage entered the ring confidently.
Cage: "So, this is NWA: Show Time, huh?! This is where the biggest stars in the sport all are, right?! I don't think so! Because Brian Cage is not here! It's time to break down the fourth wall for a minute! Jordan Richards had the chance to sign me away from Lucha Cartel and didn't! He chose to fill his roster with a bunch of over-the-hill stars from twenty years ago that he protects and pushes to the moon! He could have had the real 'Next Big Thing' right here and walked away from it!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by saliva played to bring out CEO Jordan Richards. He was flanked by Commissioner Ric Flair and Karlee Perez.
Jordan Richards: "Mr. Cage, that's just about enough."
Cage: "I'll tell you when it's enough! You don't order me around! I don't work for you!"
Richards: "No, but you are in my ring on my TV in the company I own. I may have invited you here, but I don't have to stand for this sort of badmouthing! Your bosses may take that, but I don't! As I said, that's enough!"
Cage: "It's enough when I beat up your 'Collective' and prove I'm the most dominant wrestler on the planet!"
Ric Flair: "Whoa now, punk! You think you're the best wrestler on the planet?! You're looking at the best wrestler of all-time! And, what I'm looking at is a bingo hall wannabe superstar! 'The Richards Collective' is the most elite group of athletes in the world! And, I know a thing or two about elite groups, pal! WOOOO!"
Cage: "Bingo hall wannabe superstar?! While you were blowing every dime you ever made, I was out busting my a** night in and night out to be the best! I've beaten everybody in my company! Now, it's time to take your boys to school! Woooo!"
Cage mocked Flair's trademark strut to a roar from the crowd.
Flair: "That's it! You're asking for it!"
Cage: "You're d*** right I'm asking for it! Bring it on!"
This brought out "The Richards Collective" to a chorus of boos. The Rock had a microphone.
The Rock: "Well, well, well. What do we have here? Haha! It looks like another one of those muscle head freaks down at the gym! Listen up jabroni! You better know your role and shut your mouth before you get hurt!"
Cage: "Tell me exactly who is going to hurt me?! Will it be you, an over-the-hill Hollywood actor who happens to wrestle on occasion? Or, will it be one of your little flyweight paper champions?! No! The guy I want is Brock Lesnar!"
Rock: "Brock Lesnar?! What makes you think you're even a blip on his radar?!"
Cage: "Because I'm a better version of him! Go ahead and speak for yourself, part-timer!"
Brock Lesnar took the microphone from The Rock.
Brock Lesnar: "What makes you think you're in my league?! Just because you jacked yourself up on steroids and you do a cheap copy my finisher doesn't make you anything! Stepping into the ring with me is a one-way trip to 'Suplex City,' b****!"
Cage: "Let's go, old man!"
Lesnar tore his shirt off and began to bounce back and forth. Suddenly, The Rock stopped him.
Rock: "Hold on a minute, big fella! You and I go back a long way. I got your back and you got mine! Why don't you let me lay the smack down on this candy a**?!"
Lesnar backed off after a few seconds and allowed The Rock to make the challenge.
Rock: "Come on, Cage! It's time to go one-on-one with 'The Great One!' I'm ready to make you famous right now!"
Cage: Fine! If Lesnar is too much of a coward to take me on, let's go!"
As The Rock prepared to get into the ring, referee Mike Chioda ran down to the ring and rang the bell.
Match Four ~ Special Challenge ~ The Rock with "The Richards Collective" vs. Brian Cage
As soon as the bell rang, The Rock rushed at Cage. Brian immediately unleashed the "Tornado Claw ("Discus Clothesline")," which nearly decapitated Rock. He then hoisted him up for his "Drill Claw" and planted Rock headfirst to the mat. Three seconds later, it was over.
Winner = Brian Cage by pinfall in 0:13
Regal: "Oh my! Cage defeated The Rock in record time!"
Ranallo: "Are you kidding me?! That was unprecedented!"
Cornette: "I'm speechless, and that's hard to do!"
Lesnar, Cole, Roode, and Ricochet all hit the ring, but Cage slid out to the floor. He laughed and celebrated as the referee raised his hand. Cage then left through the crowd.
Regal: "What an ending to our program today! Brian Cage defeated The Rock in thirteen seconds, officially! I never thought I'd say that in my life! Fans, we have to go. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't forget to log onto www.nwashowtime.com for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following our broadcast! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Kelley went on and on about the last sequence involving the outside Brian Cage. She speculated as to whether or not his original target, Brock Lesnar, will step into the ring with him. Eve Torres showed up and stated that The Rock's loss was an anomaly, and that it never would have happened if he had been prepared to wrestle tonight. She further stated that Brian Cage had better be watching his back because the entire "Richards Collective" would be gunning for him. with that, Kelley signed off.
