"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 80 (Week 159)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Gents, we're just days away from the 'Great American Bash' pay-per-view! As we heard a few days ago, CM Punk will be invoking his mandatory rematch clause to challenge former friend and backstabbing partner Ricochet for the Mid-Atlantic Championship!"

Mauro Ranallo: "Momma Mia! I'm still reeling from what we saw on the program last week! Ricochet and AJ Lee plunged a dagger into CM Punk's heart and ended his title reign in the most shocking way possible!"

Jim Cornette: "You guys are being too dramatic! It's all business! If CM Punk can't see that, he's as blind as a bat!"

Regal: "Be that as it may, the match will happen this Sunday and it promises to be a war! Tonight, however, we have some great matches lined up!"

Ranallo: "That's right, William! We'll see the Usos battle Benjamin and Gable!"

Cornette: "Kota Ibushi will take on Taichi and Ofune in a 'Handicap' match! If he wins, he gets the services of Miho Abe for thirty days!"

Regal: "And, our main event will be a 'Mixed Tag Team' match ahead of the pay-per-view, as 'Team Little Big' will go at it with Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole and Britt Baker! It all starts right now!"

Match One ~ Jimmy & Jey Uso with "The Bad Guy" Scott Hall vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable with "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle

Winners = Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable by pinfall in 14:12

Regal: "What an upset! The former tag team Champions have just been pinned cleanly by Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable!"

Ranallo: "Oh my! That just goes to show how competitive the tag team division in NWA: Show Time is! Any given night, Jim!"

Cornette: "That's true, except for when you're facing one of my teams! Then, it's a foregone conclusion!"

Regal: "Indeed. Fans, let's take a break. We'll be back with that 'Handicap' match next!"

Regal: "We're back! Junko Suzuki is standing by with Taichi Ishikari and his entourage. Let's hear from them now."

Junko Suzuki: "I'm here with Taichi Ishikari, Ofune, and Miho Abe. Taichi, anata to Ofune wa kon'ya anata ga nan-kagetsu mo kakawatte kita tōsō no tsudzuki de Kota Ibū ni chokumen surudeshou. Shikashi, kon'ya wa tokubetsuna imi o motte imasu. Anata to anata no tsuma ga ushinattara, Abe Miho wa 30-kakan Kota no nakama to shite hatarakanakereba narimasen. Kono shiai no gēmupuran wa nanidesu ka (Taichi, you and Ofune will face Kota Ibushi tonight in the continuation of the feud that you've been involved in for months. Suzuki: "Shikashi, moshi kare ga kattara? Miho ni nani ga okoru node wanai ka to shinpai shite imasu ka (But, what if he wins? Are you at all afraid of what may happen to Miho)?"

Taichi: "Nansensu! Sore wa kurutta hanashidesu! Watashitachi wa ushinawa renainode, watashitachiha osoreru koto wa arimasen (Nonsense! That's crazy talk! We are not afraid because we will not lose)!"

Suzuki: "There you have it. Back to you, William."

Regal: "Thank you, Junko! We have some pre-recorded comments from Kota Ibushi. Let's hear those at this time."

Kota Ibushi: "Taichi ga Ofune o sen'nō shite kara, watashi ga genki ni natte kara, watashi wa fukushū shitai to omotte imashita. He'll go crazy without his little girlfriend for a month. I can't to watch him fall apart)!"

Regal: "So, the stage is set. Let's see who gets the girl!"

Match Two ~ "Handicap" match ~ If Ibushi wins, he get Miho Abe as his valet for thirty days ~ Kota Ibushi vs. Taichi Ishikari & Ofune with Miho Abe

This match was a struggle for Ibushi at first. He did not want to engage physically with Ofune as a man of honor. Ofune finally slapped Kota hard across the face. This enraged him and he took the fight to her with a "Dropkick" that caught her square on the chin and knock her completely out of the ring. Ibushi spent most of his time on defense, having to bounce between man and wife with contrasting styles. Taichi and Ofune had the match well in hand for quite some time. Taichi eve toyed with Ibushi at various points, pulling him up while the referee attempted to make a three-count. This ploy ultimately backfired in the end. Taichi and Ofune went for a double-team, but Kota turned it around and caused the two to run into one another. Ofune was sent out of the ring once again. Taichi responded with a "Lariat" to take Ibushi down. He then demanded that Miho give him his trademark microphone stand. Taichi turned around and took a home run swing at Kota, who ducked. Ibushi then nailed an "Enziguiri" that sent the microphone standing crashing into Taichi's temple. Taichi went down like a ton of bricks. Ibushi then scaled the ropes and landed a scintillating "Phoenix Splash." He got the pin before Ofune could break up the cover.

Winner = Kota Ibushi by pinfall in 20:09

Regal: "Kota Ibushi has done it! He has just won the services of Miho Abe for thirty days!"

Ranallo: "What does Kota Ibushi have planned for the next month with Miho Abe?!"

Cornette: "If I were him, I'd having her cooking and cleaning house!"

Regal: "Jim, he very well may. She is at his beckon call for the next month!"

Miho was screaming as Taichi tried to hold her arm to keep officials from taking her. Ofune screamed at Ibushi, who eventually scooped a kicking and screaming Abe onto his shoulder and walked up the ramp. The fans were cheering as he turned back, smiled, and waved. Taichi was distraught as he saw his girlfriend being carried away.

Regal: "Fans, we need to take another break. We'll be back with our huge main event in just a moment!"

Regal: "We're back! 'SoCal' Val is with Adam Cole and Britt Baker. Let's see what they have to say about their impending main event."

Valerie Wyndham: "I am here with Adam Cole and his significant other Britt Baker. They are about to clash with 'Team Little Big,' Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss. This coming Sunday, Braun has a World Championship opportunity against Brock Lesnar. Are you trying to take him out before that match?"

Adam Cole: "Valerie, what Britt and I do in this match, and anything 'The Richards Collective' does at all in fact, is our business. Sufficed to say, Braun Strowman has put himself in a precarious position by stepping into the ring with the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion. And, when Britt gets her hands on Alexa Bliss, 'The Goddess' won't even be fit to be a fairy!"

Wyndham: "Speaking of the Heavyweight Championship, you have a big title defense coming up next week on this program, as you face Kurt Angle. Any worries that you are vulnerable here tonight?"

Cole: "I'm the Heavyweight Champion for a reason! And, need I remind you that I am the only 'Grand Slam Champion' in company history?! I am the best d--- pro wrestler on the planet! I'm never in a vulnerable position! I'm not afraid of Braun Strowman! He may be big and strong, but he's not smart enough to be in my league! Tonight, I'll wrestle circles around him just like my girl will do to Alexa Bliss!"

Britt Baker: "And that Valerie, is undisputed."

Wyndham: "Back to you, William."

Regal: "Let's swing it over to Joanna Rose, who's with 'Team Little Big.'"

Joanna Rose: "I'm here with Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss, who comprise 'Team Little Big.'"

Alexa Bliss: "Let me stop you three, Joanna, before you hurt yourself. What she meant to say is that she is here with 'The Monster Among Men' and future World Heavyweight Champion Braun Strowman and 'The Goddess' and reigning Television Champion Alexa Bliss, who comprise 'Team Little Big.' Adam Cole and Britt Baker, we heard what you had to say. As far as Britt goes, I'll mop the floor with her! You said I wouldn't be fit to be a fairy after facing you?! Ha! You meant to say fury, as in 'Five Feet of Fury,' because that's what you're about to get!"

Braun Strowman: "Adam Cole, you'd better be glad your girlfriend is a dentist! Your smile going to need fixing, because you're about to get these hands!"

Bliss: "Let's go take care of business, big guy!"

Rose: "Well, there you have it. William..."

Regal: "Thank you, Joanna. Both teams seem confident. It should be a great main event!"

Match Three ~ "Mixed Tag team" match ~ Adam Cole & Britt Baker vs. "Team Little Big" ("The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman & "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss)

Cole spent much of his time sticking and moving, trying not to get caught by Strowman. Cole hit several leg kicks in an attempt to weaken the tree trunk like thighs of Braun and "chop him down to size." Any time Braun actually went to work on Cole, he'd retreat and tag in Britt Baker, which effectively got Strowman out of the ring. baker caught Bliss coming in by grabbing her tights and throwing her face first into the middle turnbuckle. Baker worked over Bliss for several minutes. Alexa finally "Leapfrogged" a "Backdrop" attempt and nailed Britt in the mouth with a "Super Kick." Bliss crawled toward her corner as Cole screamed at his girlfriend Baker to stop her. Britt grabbed at Alexa's foot, but Bliss lunged and got the tag. StrowmanGot in the ring and beckoned Cole to engage him. Adam stayed on the apron and shook his head no. Braun ran over and grabbed Cole. He gave him a huge "Hiptoss" into the ring. Cole was ragdolled from pillar to post as Strowman manhandled him. Braun scooped Adam up and hit his big "Running Powerslam." He went for the cover. Before the referee could count Cole out, Brock Lesnar appeared and laid into Strowman with kicks and punches.

Winners = "Team Little Big" by disqualification in 16:23

Lesnar continued his assault, hitting four successive "German Suplexes." He then took Braun outside the ring and threw him into the barricade, nearly destroying it. Brock then hit a vicious "F-5" through the announcer's table. As if that wasn't enough, Brock hit another "F-5" inside the ring to an already broken Strowman. Brock stood over Braun's lifeless body and raised his championship belt high, screaming at the top of his lungs.

Regal: "Wow! we have never seen Braun Strowman in that kind of shape before!"

Ranallo: "Brock Lesnar decimated Braun Strowman! I can't believe my eyes!"

Cornette: "Believe it! The World Champion is the most dangerous man on the planet! That title isn't going anywhere on Sunday!"

Regal: "I'm inclined to believe you after watching that. Fans, you have to order the pay-per-view broadcast of 'Great American Bash' this Sunday! Unfortunately, we're out of time for this week.
