William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are 'Maestro' Mauro Ranallo and 'Louisville Lip' Jim Cornette! Fans, last week's episode ended with a huge shocker, as Alexa Bliss defeated Bobby Roode to become the Television Champion with a slight assist from Braun Strowman!"
Mauro Ranallo: "The wrestling world was stunned at that result! Nevertheless, 'The Goddess' holds gold!"
Jim Cornette: "A 'slight assist from Braun Strowman,' William?! He giftwrapped the title for her!"
Regal: "That notwithstanding, as Mauro said, she now holds the gold. In fact, Alexa will be having a bit of a celebration at the top of the hour. Also, we'll see that big six-man challenge match, as 'British Strong Style' takes on 'Euro Trash!'"
Just then, this entrance video aired on the tron:
Alexa and Braun made their triumphant entrance to a nice reception.
Alexa Bliss: "Well, well, well. What a difference a week makes! I am standing here as living, breathing history! The first female ever to hold a singles title in this company! And, it's only fitting that it's 'The Goddess!' Don't think this was some kind of fluke or accident! I earned this championship, with Braun by my side, I'll be holding it for a long time to come!"
Just then, the entrance music for Commissioner Ric Flair hit.
Ric Flair: "So, you think you're going to walk in here and start stealing from 'The Richards Collective?!' I don't think so! If not for the interference of Braun Strowman last week, you never would have defeated an athlete the caliber of Bobby Roode! With that in mind, Bobby is cashing in his rematch clause here tonight for the Television Championship! Furthermore, Braun Strowman is not to accompany you to ringside! And, if he does interfere, not only will you be stripped of the Television Championship, but Braun will lose his World Championship opportunity at the 'Bash!' Now, we'll see if you really are championship material, little lady! Woooo!"
Regal: "Oh my! What an announcement! we have an instant main event match for the Television Championship, and if Braun Strowman interferes, Alexa Bliss is stripped of the title and Braun will not battle Brock Lesnar for the NWA World Championship at the 'Great American Bash!' Fans, it's quickly becoming a monumental episode! Let's get to the ring for our first match-up!"
Match One ~ "British Strong Style" ("Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne, Trent Seven, & Tyler Bate) vs. "Euro Trash" (Zack Sabre, Jr., Aleister Black, & "The Villain" Marty Scurll)
This was an epic battle that fans did not want to see end. In fact, they started a "Fight Forever!" chant nearly thirty minutes in. This was a highly competitive back-and-forth contest. All six men are well versed in the European style of grinding, submission-based offense and grappling expertise. Sabre was vicious. So was Dunne. Black was calculating and brutal. Bate was astounding with his strength. Seven and Scurll provided the entertainment aspect to the match.
The end saw Scurll eat a "Seven Star Lariat" from Seven, followed quickly be "Bitter End" from Dunne as Bate dived onto Sabre and Black on the floor.
Winners = "British Strong Style" by pinfall in 32:17
Regal: "What a bout! I'm exhausted just calling it!"
Ranallo: "Momma Mia, the war we just witnessed! But, most importantly, 'British Strong Style' now will battle for all the Cruiserweight hardware!"
Cornette: "That was a bruising, grind-it-out, old-school fight! I loved it!"
Regal: "Finally, something we all may agree on! Fans, we must take a break. We'll be back with our Television Championship match in a few moments!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, as you know, this week will be the tournament to crown the first ever Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions! Tomorrow, we begin in Greenville, South Carolina! Saturday, we'll complete it in Greensboro, North Carolina! Let's take time to give you a snapshot of each team."
A video package aired that chronicled the sixteen teams in the NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship tournament. This took several minutes, but highlighted each team's attributes and accomplishments.
Regal: "This tournament should be a dandy! The two-city format will give plenty of fans the opportunity to witness some amazing matches and superstars! It's going to be great! Well, it's time for our big Television Championship main event! Let's go back to the ring!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss vs. "Glorious" Bobby Roode with Maryse Ouellet & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
Roode went on the offense from the opening bell and stayed on Bliss throughout. She had very little offense, but spent the bulk of the match backpedaling. It was clear she was out of sorts without Braun Strowman in her corner. Strowman was shown several times throughout the match looking on from the backstage monitors. He never interfered, not wanting to jeopardize his World Championship opportunity against Brock Lesnar. The tide of the match swung quickly and violently. Bliss took off outside the ring and led Roode on a chase. He finally caught up to Bliss and blasted her from behind. Alexa began to stagger back to her feet. Roode launched himself at her. Bliss ducked out of the way, sending Bobby head first into the steel corner post that was behind her. Roode was knocked unconscious and lay sprawled on the mat. The referee continued his count as Bliss dragged herself back into the ring. Austin attempted to put Roode back into the ring, getting him onto the apron at nine. But, Roode fell off before making it under the bottom rope.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Alexa Bliss by countout in 9:23
Bliss was elated as she celebrated in the ring. Strowman ran out and scooped her up. The fans were going crazy.
Regal: "Oh my! What a stroke of good fortune for Alexa Bliss, as Bobby Roode ran head long into the corner post! She retains the championship and did it without any help from her monster friend Braun Strowman! Fans, we're out of time! Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, go ahead and log onto www.nwashowtime.com to catch After Buzz with Cathy Kelley! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Kelley once again extoled the virtues of Alexa Bliss, congratulating her fellow "chick" on retaining the championship. Kelley also readied fans for the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship tournament. Both venues are sold out, but Kelley reminded fans that they could tune into the Show Time Power Hour next week for highlights and a special interview with the winners. With that, she signed off.
