William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. with me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, we have a fantastic main event tonight as a part of the 'Mixed Match Challenge,' as 'Robe Warriors' will see their first action against 'Best in the World!' That should be a barnburner!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Yes, it should, William! We'll need to have the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fire Department on hand for that one! We're also going to see two big hosses go at it as Mikael Judas takes on Killian Dain!"
Jim Cornette: "The program is really going to get going with my boys, 'The Revival,' taking on 'Killer Elite Squad' and showing them what tag team wrestling is all about!"
Regal: "Indeed, that should be a clinic! Fans, it's going to be a raucous night, so let's get to it!"
Match One ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas with Priestess Skyler Moon vs. Killian Dain with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis
Judas controlled much of the match, but Dain is so large and maniacal that he couldn't be kept down. Both men warred for several minutes until the ring could no longer contain them.
Winner = double countout in 10:07
Regal: "Now, that was a smash mouth affair!"
Ranallo: "Killian Dain and Mikael Judas beat the stuffing out of each other, with neither backing down!"
Cornette: "I love a good big man match! Man-to-man, toe-to-toe, eye-to-eye! That's old school!"
Regal: "Indeed! Fans, we need to take a commercial break. We'll be back with more in just a bit!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, before we go to the ring for their highly anticipated encounter with 'Killer Elite Squad,' let's hear a few words from 'The Revival.' They're standing by with Joanna Rose at this time."
Joanna Rose: "I am here with Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, along with their manager Jim Cornette. Gentlemen, you are about to face 'Killer Elite Squad.' A victory over them should set you up for a Tag Team Championship opportunity against the Usos in the future. what are your thoughts?"
Scott Dawson: "First of all, your whole logic is all kinds of wrong! Number one, we don't need to beat anybody to deserve a title shot! We should have already gotten one! Number two, Davey Boy Smith, Jr. and Lance Hoyt aren't killers. They're not elite either. We're going to expose them for the no talent hacks they are!"
Dash Wilder: "That's right! we have proven time and time again that we are not only the best tag team in Show Time, we're the best tag team in this entire universe! we've beaten them all! Tonight will be just another example of that!"
Cornette: "You see, Joanna, there are two kinds of teams in this sport. There are winners, which is what we are, then there are losers, which is what 'Killer Elite Squad' is! Boys, this isn't Japan and you're not going to be in the ring with a couple of junior heavyweights! These are real men who specialize in tag team wrestling! They're not in some dojo somewhere doing crossfit! They're the real deal! And tonight, they're going to prove it!"
All: "Top guys out!"
Rose: "There you have it. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thank you, Joanna. Fans, 'The Revival' is exuding confidence heading into the match. Let's see if that translates to the ring."
Match Two ~ "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette vs. "Killer Elite Squad" (Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt)
When you have four heavy-hitting teams who specialize in methodical brutality and precision, you can expect a classic. That is what fans were treated to. "KES" dominated physically as the larger pair. But, Dash and Dawson cut the ring in half and isolated Smith for several minutes with technical wizardry. They are masters of the tag team craft. Smith finally got a tag to Hoyt, who cleaned house with several "Clotheslines." "KES" looked for the "Killer Bomb," but it was blocked by Dash. In the tussle, Hoyt was knocked out of the ring. Smith tried to fight his foes off, but fell victim to "Shatter Machine" for the pin.
Winners = "The Revival" by pinfall in 18:23
Regal: "Superb match and a clean win for Jim Cornette's troops for once!"
Ranallo: "That was tag team excellence between two of the best teams in the world!"
Dawson stuck his head into the commentary area and shouted, "We just beat the two-time Tag Team Champions! Ric Flair can't ignore us! We want our title shot! It's time for those belts to come back home!"
Regal: "Well then, it looks like 'The Revival' have clear intentions on regaining the Tag Team Championship for an unprecedented third time. Fans, let's take a break. We'll return with our huge main event next!"
Regal: "We're back! It's time for another quarterfinal match-up in the 'Show Time Femme Fatales Mixed Match Challenge!' Let's go to the ring!"
Match Three ~ "Show Time Femme Fatales Mixed Match Challenge" ~ "Robe Warriors" ("Glorious" Bobby Roode & Charlotte Flair) vs. "Best in the World" (CM Punk & AJ Lee)
The tron flashed a live shot of Roode and Flair just before their entrance.
This was every bit as good as we expected. Punk and Roode put on a highlight reel of a match, while AJ and Charlotte did the same. The stakes were high and the action was intense. There was no real clear-cut dominant team. But, Lee did manage to trap Flair in the "Black widow." Charlotte screamed in pain and tried to fight toward the ropes, but stalled out. It looked as if she'd tap out any second. Bobby grabbed AJ by the shirt and yanked she and Charlotte over close to the ropes so that Charlotte could reach out and grab them, forcing a break. Punk came bounding across the ring to confront Roode and the two began brawling. Meanwhile, AJ tried to capitalize on a weakened Charlotte. She went to lock in "Black Widow" again. This time, Charlotte blocked it and sent AJ facefirst into the turnbuckle. AJ bounced into center ring. Charlotte quickly applied the "Figure Eight Leglock" and bridged. Lee writhed in agony and tried to inch herself toward the ropes. eventually, she ran out of strength. Realizing she could not make the ropes, AJ was forced to tap out. Punk was still outside the ring and had no idea his wife was in peril until the bell rang.
Winners = "Robe Warriors" by submission in 24:44
Regal: "Another fabulous tag team match! That was a thrilling ride we were just taken on!"
Ranallo: "The ebb and flow was exhausting, but invigorating at the same time! I was on the edge of my seat until the end!"
Cornette: "Though I hate the concept, the right team won! Good riddance to CM Punk and AJ Lee!"
Regal: "Well, it did look as though AJ was going to submit Charlotte, but some timely interference by Bobby Roode saved the match. Fans, we've run out of time for this week's broadcast. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour, where we'll have results from this weekend's Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament!
