DISCLAIMER: The following is one of multiple TV tapings produced by AZCW, watch at your own risk.
Excalibur: Greetings everyone! You know the routine, Excalibur here with Larry Legend. As you saw the last show, the first round of the Global Strong League started. Tonight we will be seeing the start of the Global Deathmatch League.
Larry Legend: Tonight, I am excited to see the deathmatch and intense wrestling between all 8 men. And let's look at the bracket for the Global Deathmatch League. Who will prevail and become AZCW Deathmatch Champion? You'll find out who could be potentially winning the belt, tonight!
Pentagon Jr vs Black Lotus
MASADA vs Nick Mondo
Abdullah Kobayshi vs Jimmy Havoc
Matt Tremont vs Jun Kasai
Excalibur: Those eight can be called wild cards here in AZCW, but they are one of the best this company has to offer in terms of deathmatch wrestling. As I put together this bracket, I now can't wait to see the four men who win their respective matches. This will be a great tournament for sure.
(1) Pentagon Jr vs Black Lotus - Gusset Plate Deathmatch
Pentagon Jr attacked Lotus before the match even begun, and threw her into two gusset plates. Pentagon Jr controlled most of this match and showed off how vicious and brutal he could be. Black Lotus tried many times to rally a comeback, but Pentagon Jr caught her with a superkick or other strike to keep her down. One of the more memorable spots in this match was when Pentagon hit a brutal pop up powerbomb into a gusset plate. Following the powerbomb, Pentagon decided enough was enough and ended Lotus with a Fear Factor.
Winner: Pentagon Jr via Fear Factor in 7:45
After the match ended, Lotus laid there, a complete mess. Referee Rick Knox kneeled there, checking on Lotus who looked like she wasn't in good condition at all. Pentagon Jr walked over to the ref and Lotus, and stared at her. Pentagon shoved the ref out the way and wrapped his leg around Lotus's left arm. Pentagon grabbed onto Lotus's right arm and SNAPPED IT! Lotus rolled out, squirming in pain, holding her injured arm. The ref and many other doctors checked on Lotus and her arm, and she was helped to the back.
Excalibur: That was a disgusting act by Pentagon Jr. I don't know why he had to do that to Lotus even though he already had won the match.
Larry Legend: Hopefully someone can figure out what's been going on with Pentagon Jr and why he's just causing pain to his opponents. Anyways, we have MASADA vs Nick Mondo up next, and I'm interested to see what happens in that match.
(2) MASADA vs Nick Mondo - Barbedwire Deathmatch
This match was an all out brawl. As soon as the bell rang, MASADA and Nick Mondo were clobbering eachother with stiff blows. Mondo was the first to bring weapons into this match, hitting MASADA in the back with a barbedwire bat. Both men used the barbedwire ropes to their advantage, raking each other's faces on it. A notable spot in the match was MASADA attempting a MASADAMizer into a barbedwire board, but was instead hit with a german suplex into it. Mondo went for the cover, and MASADA barely kicked out after that. On the top rope, Mondo tried for a top rope Assault Driver through a table that had barbedwire on it, but MASADA slided on the apron. MASADA punched Mondo and climbed up with him. Mondo held onto MASADA and then did a superplex through the table. The intensity and stiffness in the match increased as the match went on, and MASADA proved to be too much for Mondo after he hit MASADAMizer through a barbedwire board.
Winner: MASADA via MASADAMizer in 14:30
Excalibur: What a match up! MASADA wins the rematch dating back from the first show, this time MASADA learnt his previous lesson and was able to get a victory over Nick Mondo. Both of these men are tied with one win a piece, and maybe just as the Director of Violence I'll have to put together a final match between those two?
Larry Legend: That would be great Excalibur. I love seeing both men in action, but against each other? That's an amazing match! Hopefully we can see these guys at their best if we indeed get a final match.
Excalibur: Well it's time we head along for the next matchup.
(3) Abdullah Kobayshi vs Jimmy Havoc - Lighttube Deathmatch
Both men made a huge impact here. Straight from the get go, Havoc started attacking Kobayshi. As the match continued, Havoc began to wear Kobayshi out, but once the lighttubes were in action, it benefeited Kobayshi more than Havoc. Kobayshi ducked a swing to the head with a lighttube from Havoc, and tossed him into two stacks of lighttubes. Following that, Kobayshi planned to end the match, but Havoc nailed him with a stiff headbutt. Havoc held onto Kobayshi and used his strength to pull him up, finishing Kobayshi off with an Acid Rainmaker.
Winner: Jimmy Havoc via Acid Rainmaker in 12:22
Larry Legend: Great debut for Jimmy Havoc here. He proved that he is already on the level of some of AZCW's deathmatch legends and he'll be moving on into this tournament.
Excalibur: Imagine what could be next for Havoc! It would do him wonders if he could win the Global Deathmatch League and become the first ever AZCW Deathmatch Openweight Champion.
Larry Legend: Indeed Excalibur, but there's so many tough opponents in the tournament. This won't be an easy tournament for sure, it just depends on if you're there at the right place and time.
Excalibur: You're right Larry, these men will have time to rest next week because we'll be resuming the second round of the Global Strong League, to find out the first ever AZCW Strong Openweight Champion, but let's head back to Angelo Trinidad, for the main event of the evening!
(4) Matt Tremont vs Jun Kasai - Light Tube Bundles & Ultraviolent Boards
As soon as Angelo Trinidad announced both men's names, Kasai and Tremont stepped to the center of the ring, bumping heads. Both men clobbered each other with forearms over and over. The pace of the match increased over time, as they hit each other with no remorse with stacks of lighttubes. A notable spot in the match was Kasai being hit with a top rope uranage slam by Tremont onto a stack of lighttubes. Somehow, Kasai barely kicked out. The match was ended after Tremont hit a second uranage in a row on an ultraviolent board which also had lighttubes on it.
Winner: Matt Tremont via Urange Slam in 25:13
Excalibur: And we have our final four! In two weeks we will see these men face off, and the winner of those two matches will face off to see who the first ever AZCW Deathmatch Openweight Champion will be!
Larry Legend: Oh, I can't wait for that, but what about next week though? We'll be seeing the final four for the Global Strong League.
Excalibur: Yep, but this is all folks! I am Excalibur here with Larry Legend, and this has been another episode of AZCW Action TV!
