William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are hall of famers Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Men, we're continuing on with the 'Mixed Match Challenge' tonight!"
Michael Hayes: "Oh yeah! I can't wait for tonight's match-up! This tournament has the whole world buzzing!"
Jim Cornette: "I think it's a colossal waste of time, but who cares what my opinion is?"
Regal: "My sentiments exactly. Fans, we'll see Dijak and Shotzi from 'House of Truth' will take on the Japanese dream team of Kota Ibushi and Kairi Hojo! That should be a dandy! Also, 'Broken' Matt and Brother Nero Hardy will defend the Broken Brilliance Tag Team Championship against the combination of Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe! And, in our main event, Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole will do battle with Mid-Atlantic Champion Ricochet in a 'Champion vs. Champion' match! It should be a fantastic night, so let's get it started!"
Match One ~ "Show Time Femme Fatales Mixed Match Challenge" ~ "Puro Dream" (Kota Ibushi & Kairi Hojo) vs. "House of Truth" (Donovan Dijak & Shotzi Blakkhartt with truth Martini and "Hoopla Hotties" {Zahra and Dana Adiva})
The 6'7" Dijak cut an imposing specter on Ibushi and Hojo. Shotzi was as "ballsy" as she claims to be. However, Ibushi and Hojo were up to the task. Their offensive prowess is nearly unmatched. Together, they were a true dream team. Dijak was impressive and Shotzi held her own, but ultimately they were no match for their puro foils. Ibushi dropped Dijak with a "Sitout Powerbomb" while Hojo landed her picturesque "Diving Elbow Drop" on Shotzi for the win.
Winners = "Puro Dream" by pinfall in 10:12
Regal: "What a win for Kota and Kairi! They looked fantastic out there!"
Hayes: "They could be the team to beat!"
Cornette: "No, the teams to beat are any of the ones represented in 'Camp Cornette!'"
Regal: "I'll rephrase for Michael. 'Puro Dream' might be the team to beat in this tournament. They are stellar. Fans, we need to take a break. We'll be back with more action in just a moment!"
Regal: "We're back! It's time for the eccentric duo of 'Broken' Matt and Brother Nero, the Hardys, to defend their self-proclaimed Broken Brilliance Tag Team Championship. They'll be taking on the newest members of 'The New Face of Fear,' Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe. Matt and Nero are standing by with their entourage and 'SoCal' Val. Let's see what kind of word we can get with them."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with 'The Broken Universe.' 'Broken' Matt Hardy and Brother Nero will defend their championships against members of 'The New Face of Fear.' Gentlemen, how do you prepare for such a big challenge?"
Matt Hardy: "Oh, dear Valerie of Wyndham, our Broken Brilliance needs no preparation. For you see, 'The Great War' wages all around us. We must be battle ready at a moment's notice. Therefore, we call upon the wisdom of the seven deities to guide our endeavors. Our expedeeeeshun of gold has been interrupted by the 'Consumer of Terrestrial Entities' Bray Wyatt and his hoard of vandals. Today, he will send his evil henchman to do battle with House Hardy. After we vanquish our foes, we will feast with our broken brethren, Justice, Gunner, and Skyler. for, they have kept The Great War ongoing in the plane known as Time of Show. Bray Wyatt, tonight you will come to the rather painful realization that darkness cannot defeat the light! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS! Our mission is clear. We will DELETE you and your minions!"
Brother Nero: "And render them OBSOLETE!"
Hardy: "Wonduhfulllllll! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS! Come! Let us march to war!"
Wyndham: "Okay. There you have it. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Matt and Jeff Hardy truly are in another world. Let's go to the ring."
Match Two ~ Broken Brilliance Tag Team Championship ~ "The Broken Universe" ("Broken" Matt Hardy & Brother Nero with Queen Reby, "Broken Soldier" Gunner, "Broken Savior" Jon Skyler, and "Broken Bomb" Jason Justice) vs. "The New Face of Fear" (Killian Dain & Alexander Wolfe with "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt, "Lost Sheep" Erick Rowan, and "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis)
This was a cluster of bodies, most of which were unnecessary to the match. There was more unpredictability outside the ring than in it. The match itself, when not marred with interference, was shaping up to be in instant classic. Dain and Wolfe are agile big men. The Hardys are one of the most famed tag team of the last thirty years. The champions managed to get the upper hand near the end of the match. Amid the chaos, Matt hit Wolfe with the 'Twist of Fate." Nero had already scaled the top rope and flew with his patented "Swanton Bomb." Before he could cover, Wyatt and Rowan had already hit the ring to cause the disqualification.
Winners and STILL Broken Brilliance Tag Team Champions = "The Broken Universe" by disqualification in 17:49
After the match, Gunner, Skyler, and Justice hit the ring and a brawl ensued. It looked as if "The Broken Universe" had been bested. Bray posed in the center of the ring holding out his arms. Unbeknownst to him, Matt had snuck up behind him.
Wyatt eventually turned around into a "Twist of Fate" that sent him packing. "The Broken Universe" stood tall with Bray and company on the outside seething. Matt grabbed a microphone.
Hardy: "Bray Wyatt, once again your forces were no match for our own! We have triumphed yet again! But, The Great War is far from ovuh! I propose one more challenge to end it all between us! I have been told that the plane identified as NWA is hosting a gathering of equines in the Spring (Spring Stampede) on twenty-two April. Perhaps, you'd be so bold as to accept my invitation to the Hardy Compound on that very day! If you have the fortitude, 'Eater of Terrestrial Entities,' I will see you and you alone on that day. Senor Benjamin will prepare the battleground post haste and I shall be waiting! While the equines are gathering in the Spring on another plane, let us gather for 'The Ultimate Deleeshun!'
Wyatt looked on with crazed eyes and nodded his approval.
Regal: "Oh my! It looks like Bray Wyatt and 'Broken' Matt Hardy will do battle in 'Ultimate Deletion' at the Hardy Compound in North Carolina! This match has taken place only once before, when Matt defeated his brother Jeff and he returned from the Lake of Reincarnation as Brother Nero! This could be a monumental battle!"
Hayes: "This is going to be a crazy match!"
Cornette: "What the h*** is going on around here?!"
Regal: "Jim! Language! Fans, let's take another break. We'll be back with our exciting main event next!"
Regal: "Fans, we've already witnessed a huge hour, but we're not done yet! Let's go to the ring for the 'Champion vs. Champion' match!"
Match Three ~ "Champion vs. Champion" (non-title) ~ Adam Cole with Britt Baker & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Ricochet with CM Punk & AJ Lee
Winner = Ricochet by pinfall in 25:02
Regal: "What a match! I'm left almost speechless!"
Hayes: "I agree! There are no words!"
Cornette: "I'll admit it. It was a dang fine match, although I still say Ricochet cheated to win!"
Regal: "After 'War Machine' came out to dispatch of Bobby Roode and The Rock, I'd say it was all square! That was a big win for ricochet against our top champion! Those two might end up back in the ring again someday soon! Fans, it looks like we're all out of time for this week. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't forget to log on to www.nwashowtime.com to catch After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following our broadcast! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Kelley raved about the main event and speculated that the match will have everyone talking around the water cooler tomorrow. Cathy then turned her attention to the "Ultimate Deletion" match that now has apparently been scheduled on the same night as Spring Stampede. Kelley talked about the very first such match a couple of years ago and how unpredictable it was. Cathy iterated that 'Ultimate Deletion' changed Jeff Hardy forever and that it could do just the same for the loser of the upcoming battle. Kelley finished her soliloquy with a review of "Puro Dream," which she referred to as "poetry in motion." Kelley said she might have to agree with William Regal and Michael Hayes in that they look like a team to beat in the "Show Time Femme Fatales Mixed Match Challenge." with that, Kelley signed off.
