The show opened with a graphic acknowledging the death of Jim Neidhart

Video package on John Hennigan defeating Teddy Hart on the last show

Tony Schiavone and Matt Striker checked in on commentary and hype MLW War Games

Kaci Lennox interviewed ACH and Rich Swann about facing the new Hart Foundation. ACH says they aren't scared and Swann spoke about how he grew up watching Bret Hart. The New Hart Foundation Teddy Hart, Davey Boy Smith Jr., and Brian Pillman Jr. showed up. Davey says these are the guys giving Teddy problems hugh, Teddy says they're all smiles and laugh in his face claiming to be big fans of his, he's not seeing anything but hate, and mocks Swann for wearing Bret Hart shades and says he should put them on Swann as he looks like a kid to Teddy. Swann said all he sees are a bunch of haters so he's going to put his hater blockers on & they'll see them in the ring

Pillman tells Steven DeAngelis to ask the fans to stand for the playing of the Canadian National Anthem

The New Generation Hart Foundation w/Brian Pillman Jr vs ACH & Rich Swann:

Teddy with a Fujiwara Armbar then into a Double Underhook Crossface, but Swann turns it into a flash pin for a 2 count, Teddy with a Snap Powerslam for a 2 count, Sunset Flip out of the corner after standing on Swann's back, but ACH breaks the pin, Davey with a Running Powerslam over the top on top of ACH, Swann with a Leaping Hurricanrana on Teddy into ACH who catches Hart with a Sit-Out Powerbomb for a 1 count, but he breaks the cover, Swann off the second with a Five-Star Swann Splash for a 2 count, ACH puts Teddy in the Sharpshooter to boos from the fans, Pillman is up on the apron, Davey breaks it with a Big Boot to the face, then sends ACH to the floor, ref checks on ACH on the floor, Swann up top, but Pillman with his father's cane driven straight into Swann's nuts, then Teddy finishes Swann with an Electric Chair into a Lungblower for the win

Striker hosted the War Games control center and ran through the rules of the match:
A cage surrounds 2 rings
Two teams with 5 men on each team
2 men start for 5 minutes in the first period, all other periods will be 2 minutes
At the end of the first period there is a coin toss to decide who gets the man advantage
After the second period the other team sends their second man in
The teams alternate sending in new fighters every 2 minutes
Once all 10 men are in then The Match Beyond begins & the only way to win is submission or surrender

The winner of Ki/Hennigan tonight will defend the MLW Title at War Games, also announced PCO vs Brody King

Striker thanks the band God's Hate for the War Games theme song 'Crown of Power'

Backstage, Kaci Lennox interviewed John Hennigan, Shane Strickland, Barrington Hughes, and Kotto Brazil. Hennigan says Ki's no slouch, but he's feeling pretty confident especially after getting scouting report on him from Strickland. Strickland’s advice to Hennigan going into the title match was “don’t let him kick you in the head.” Hennigan kind of laughs saying like he was planning on letting Ki kick him in the head. He says everyone knows Ki has some educated feet, but while Ki's feet went to Community College, but the Mayor of Slamtown's feet went to a 4 year University. Lennox announced that Abyss will be on Sami Callihan’s War Games team. Shane says that's a big acquisition, but he's confident on the guys he has on his team. Barrington says it doesn't matter if they have Abyss, it doesn't matter if they have God himself, nobdody before he can finish Callihan, Death Machines, and Jimmy Havoc attacked the babyface foursome. Tommy Dreamer helped make the save with a Singapore cane

Hennigan is helped up after The Death Machines assault

Konnan said they were like scarecrows standing in their field he says Salina de la Renta played herself & tried to put the Lucha Bros under some very exploitive, but they ripped them up & now they're with Konnan contracts, Fenix says they are free & he and Pentagon are one of the best Tag Teams in the world right now, they're ready for whoever Salina throws at them next

Tom Lawlor was shown training with Seth Petruzelli at the MMA gym: The Jungle. They cut to a shot outside the building where Colonel Robert Parker, Jake Hager, Mike Parrow, and the Dirty Blondes were waiting along with a referee and a cameraman. Parke says he has a special night for the fans tonight, they're going in to Lawlor's own dojo right here & will give the fans the match of a lifetime.

Parker tells Lawlor that he's got a fight for Tom tonight, Hager and Lawlor jawed at one another. Parker said Parrow would be the man facing Lawlor. Schiavone noted that Lawlor had likely been training to face Jake Hager

Dojo Fight
Tom Lawlor vs Mike Parrow:

Lawlor with some body shots, he looks for a Double Leg Takedown, but Parrow blocks, Parrow gets him down and delivers a ground and pound, but Lawlor counters into a Triangle Choke, Parrow throws him into the cage to break it, Lawlor with a barrage of blows, Tom uses the beams above for a Hurricanrana, he looks for a Kimura, but Parrow blocks, now Tom gets it locked in & Parrow taps out

He tells Hager to get in or he'll break Parrow's arm, The Dirty Blondes attack Seth Petruzelli, Lawlor checks on his trainer

Backstage, a nervous Vanessa Craft interviewed Low Ki and Salina de la Renta, she's so nervous she can barely says John Henigan's name which Salina makes fun of asking she's asking about hand on chicken. Low Ki said wonderful his next challenger Hennigan lucked into getting a title shot. He said the lottery he thinks he won may not be what he thinks it is. Ki wants John to do something for him, The Mayor of Slamtown has been talking about how he's going to hand Low-Ki his ass, Ki says wonderful, he looks forward to it, but before reality sets in after he's though with Hennigan he's going to punish John every step of the way, he's in Ki's city, in Ki's ring & now he becomes the first sacrificial lamb to Ki's reign. Whatever John needs to do, crawl back 'Underground' from wherever he came from because the 'Impact' that he's about to do to Hennigan in the ring is something he'll never forget. The Mayor of Slamtown is about to go broke trying to be something he's not. Vanessa still nervous thank them for their time

Ki with the Bite of the Dragon, but breaks before the dq, Ki with a Front Guillotine Choke, but Hennigan goes to the rope, pair of Mid Kicks then a Headbutt, Hennigan with an Inverted Backbreaker into a Neckbreaker for a 2 count, John goes for a Springboard, but Ki kicks his legs out, works Hennigan over on the floor, back in for a 2 count, Headscissors, but John fights out, Catapult, but Ki lands on the rope & hits an Imploding Ghetto Stomp for a 2 count, Headbutt for a 2 count, Inverted Bearhug, but Hennigan fights out, Ki blocks a Suplex and hangs Hennigan in the rope for a 2 count, Abdominal Stretch, but John fights out, Elevated Sliding German Suplex, up top, Ki evades the Impact Elbow, Flash Kick for a near fall, he looked to be foing for the kill, but Ki with The Hanging Dragon then releases, goes for a cover for a near fall, Ki Krusher blocked & Hennigan counters into a C-4 for a near fall, John with Flashpoint, Ki avoids Starship Pain, Ki connects with The Ghetto Stomp, but only a near fall, before dimming Hennigan's lights with The Switchblade Kick to retain

Tom Lawlor says what Parker & Hager did last week makes him sick, they stepped into The Jungle & sent Parrow like a lamb to slaughter to have his arm broken, they make jokes at his expense & that was cool, but wasn't cool is what they did to 'The Silverback' Seth Petruzelli afterwards & the Dirty Blondes are going to pay when Fred & Simon get retribution on them tonight & Jake Hager Lawlor has had it, he's done with The Stud Stable, he says that Parker's big stud horse is going to the glue factory once he gets his hands on him

The Dirty Blondes w/Col Parker vs Team Filthy w/Tom Lawlor:

Lawlor hits Patrick in the back with a steel chair as Gotch rolls him up in a Small Package, Parrow distracts the ref, but he eventually sees the pin & makes the count giving Team Filthy the win

ACH and Rich Swann talking about how hot it was outside, Swann said it was too dang hot, but it's not going to be as hot as the Tag Team Title Match, ACH is going to grab some AC's so the MLW fans can grabs some ACH

A Tommy Dreamer promo aired. He spoke about seeing his idol Dusty Rhodes as a nine year-old. He said he knew at that moment what he had to do with his life. Dreamer spoke about Main Eventing ECW Hardcore Heaven '97 against Jerry Lawler & teaming with Rhodes and headlining the Fort Lauderdale War Memorial. He said returning there for the War Games is special and the match is special to him as Dusty told him he was Hardcore, but he didn't know what War Games would bring & how it would take years off his career. Tommy says he doesn't know how many years he has left & says that building is special to him. The man that created that match before there was a Hell in a Cell, before there was an Elimination Chamber, it was all about War Games you laid it all on the line. Dreamer spoke of having issues with Sami Callihan in other promotions & asked what Sami was going to do to him that hasn't been done before, he has bled buckets of his own blood in that building. He's on Shane Strickland's team for a reason, he believes in him the way that the American Dream believed in Tommy. Dreamer said Rhodes would have the greatest seat in the house and this would be his first War Games match

Matt Striker runs down the rules for War Games as well as Low-Ki defending the MLW Tigle against Fenix, Pentagon Jr going up against Salina de la Renta's handpicked assassin L.A. Park in a Mexican Massacre Match & PCO vs Brody King

Low-Ki delivered a promo following the match: Defense #1 successful right in his home against Hennigan. He warned John that Hennigan was entering his city, his world & he wouldn't survive. He told Hennigan he'd punish him every step of the way & he did. Valiant effort. A formidable opponent that THEY are the ones who run things now. This is the beginning of his reign & he will reign supreme here in Major League, it doesn't matter where you're from: domestically in the US, internationally abroad, he's accepting challenges from all over. It don't matter if you think you're part of a 'CLUB', it don't matter if you think you're part of an 'UNDERGROUND' He's the comfort zone destroyer. Step up & he'll knock you down. Sami Callihan said it had to be Dreamer. He said Shane thinks he's smart by getting someone that he idolized, someone that's help Sami in his career, but Callihan doesn't really care at this point, then shows what Tommy did Fulton's back with the cane last week, Fulton said at War Games that Dreamer is his. Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down.

Abyss says he can't wait to bang up Hollywood John's pretty little face in War Games and promises to bring the suffering, pain & carnage

Tom Lawlor said ever since he set foot in MLW he's wanted the MLW Title, but the last few months all he's seen is the Stud Stable & he's damn sick & tired of it, he doesn't care who he has to go to he wants Jake Hager next week & they'll see what the recipe for disaster is

Backstage, Vanessa Craft interviewed Low Ki and Salina. She asked Salina about the lawsuit filed against her. She called it frivolous & Fenix is playing intimidation games & the World Champion isn't easily intimidated. Ki said he would make quick work of Rey Fenix. He doesn't train or fight to loes. After him he's taking on many different challengers from all around the world. This is going to be a very long title reign & there is no one or nothing that is about to cut that short

Konnan cut a promo about LA Park, saying when your in the ring with Park he can guarantee that it's going to be long, long night. Park more than any other wrestler that Konnan has ever met in the business gets a perverse pleasure out of inflicting pain. He noted that he put plenty of guys on the concussion list for months

Yuta wipes out Cade with a Tope Suicida, he sends Cade back in, Double Ax Handle off the top for a 2 count, Sliding Dropkick for a 2 count, Yuta with a Blue Thunder Driver for a near fall, Springboard Arm Drag & holds on, Cross Legged STF, but Cade makes it to the rope, Cade with an Argentine Slam for a near fall, Cade up top, but Yuta meets him & hits a Superplex, Yuta decks Cade & Jason looks to be out cold, the ref checks on him & says Cade is out, ref throws up the X symbol, Rhett Giddins blasts Yuta with a Lariat, Cade jumps up fully recovered as if he got a Zenkai power boost & picks Yuta's bones to steal the win

Backstage, Kevin Sullivan interrupted a conversation between Brian Pillman Jr., Teddy Hart, and Davey Boy Smith Jr. Sullivan said Hart was one of the most innovative guys in the history of wrestling, but got blackballed everywhere he went. He brought up his problems and his family’s problems following them. Davey asked Kevin why he cared about them, Sullivan said this was about Brian Pillman Jr, Hart barked at him and shoved him while calling him booker man and saying he had no power in MLW. Sullivan jawed back at him while Pillman stood between them. Pillman said Sullivan isn’t a threat he's an old man. Hart told Pillman to pick a side. Teddy says he was blackballed for doing too many moves & working hard for the fans money, guys like Sullivan didn't do shit in the ring. The camera got shaky when Hart hit Sullivan with punches. Smith joined in on the beating. Pillman asked what the hell they were doing. Pillman eventually laughed at struck Sullivan with a cane, breaking the handle of the cane, Sullivan was bleeding from the head, Pillman said he respected Sullvian, but that didn't mean he liked Kevin. Teddy says Sullivan could brainwash guys 20 years ago, but not anymore, Davey says this was a warning & next time it would be a lot worse

Tony mentions that Kevin Sullivan is going to a local medical facility as the show ends

Alright so I am finally caught up on the show. Overall I enjoy the product and think it’s a great show. The new Hart Foundation is great and Low-Ki is showing the most charisma he’s ever had. I felt that the War Games match was fun but was a hot mess. Barrington Hughes needs to lose 50 pounds though as I worry he is going to break a leg in there at times.
