William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. Today, I am at WRAL studios in Raleigh, North Carolina to present a retrospective episode. This past Saturday, NWA: Show Time and NWA: Femme Fatales presented Winter WonderSlam 2K17, which was seen in front of sixteen thousand rabid fans inside the historic Greensboro Coliseum. Tonight, we will be looking at the five matches that comprised the NWA: Show Time schedule for that big event. So, sit back and enjoy highlights from the night, as well as a couple of interviews that were conducted by Cathy Kelley."
(All matches highlights are joined in progress and otherwise clipped for the sake of running time)
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette vs. "The New Church" ("Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas & Mordecai the Zealot) with The Sinister Minister and "Priestess" Skyler Moon
This was a highly competitive match between two formidable teams. The challengers are deliberate and sadistic. The champions are deliberate and pick their opponents apart. Their strengths played into each others' hands. Judas and Mordecai, much bigger than the champions, enjoyed much of the offense. But, "The Revival" is considered by many to be the finest pure tag team in the world. They showed their resilience and their resourcefulness. Judas went to bound off the ropes, but was "low bridged" by Dash. Mordecai entered the ring and was hit immediately with "Shatter Machine" for the pin before Judas could recover.
Winners and STILL NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Revival" by pinfall in 13:44
Match Two ~ NWA North American Tag Team Championship ~ "War Machine" (Hanson & Raymond "Death" Rowe) vs. "American Wolves" (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards, representing NWA: DFW)
This was another highly anticipated tag team match. "War Machine" has been dominant as champions for many months. "American Wolves" are on a tear, recently capturing the NWA: DFW Tag Team Championship and looking to add more gold to their collective trophy case. Hanson and Rowe were in charge throughout, but Edwards and Richards are a well established tandem. Their "never say die" attitudes carried them throughout he match. Alas, it looked as if they were on the verge of being finished. "War Machine" set up for its signature finisher, "Fallout." Before Hanson and Rowe could execute the maneuver, "Killer Elite Squad" appeared on the tron and grabbed the attention of the champions. These two teams have been feuding for weeks. "American Wolves" took the opportunity to recover and set up tandem offense in the form of their "Hammer of the Gods," which they hit on Hanson for the win and the championship.

Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship vs. NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship ~ NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship on the line for the first twenty minutes of the match; NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship on the line thereafter ~ NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion ~ "King of Bros" Matt Riddle vs. NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion ~ Kota Ibushi
Ibushi and Riddle put on an absolute strong style clinic. Both men were at their best. Riddle used his educated feet and legs to hammer Ibushi with stiff kicks and knees. Ibushi followed up with strong strikes and highflying offense. These two waged war for quite some time without one establishing dominance. The first twenty minutes went by and the NWA World Jr. Championship was safe. Riddle seemed to relax at this point and that would be his downfall. Thinking he had the clear advantage, he began to strut around the ring and wasted precious time in pouncing on a wounded Ibushi. Riddle finally went to pick up Kota, only to have Ibushi reversed into the "Phoenix Plex" for the pin to retain his Cruiserweight Championship.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Kota Ibushi by pinfall in 22:19 (Riddle also retained the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship)
Match Four ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ "No Disqualification" match ~ CM Punk with AJ Lee vs. Adam Cole with Britt Baker
Punk and Cole have become bitter rivals over the last several months. It's almost impossible to imagine that the two actually were the reigning Tag team Champions at one point. They fought like cats and dogs, cowboys and Indians, the Hatfields and McCoys, and any other infamous rivalry that can be referenced. Punk owned the early part of the match. Cole dominated the middle. Punk began to come back in the end. He hit "GTS," but when he scopped Cole up, Adam's legs flung out and struck the referee. So, when Punk covered, no one could make the count. The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Cole's fellow "Richards Collective" stable mates, ran to the ring and destroyed Punk. Austin hit the "Stone Cold Stunner," which bounced Punk up and directly into the "Rock Bottom." Cole was rolled over onto Punk and the referee roused in time to make the count.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion = Adam Cole by pinfall in 24:06
Match Five ~ NWA World Heavyweight Championship ~ "Steel Cage" match ~ "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis vs. "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres
The main event of the evening had fans salivating and on the edge of their seats. Bray Wyatt, "Eater of Worlds" and the only man to pin Brock Lesnar in nearly three years, against "The Beast" and former World Champion looking to end the year-long reign of Wyatt. This was not a catch-as-catch-can beauty. It was a smash mouth fight inside the unforgiving steel cage. Lesnar hit no less than thirteen "German Suplexes," an unlucky number for Wyatt indeed. Bray hit "Sister Abigail," only to see Lesnar get a shoulder up at the last possible moment. Lesnar then recovered to hit an "F-5" on a charging Wyatt. Lesnar couldn't make the cover though. He had to get a breath and cull his exhaustion. During this, members of both "The New Face of Fear" and "The Richards Collective" came to the ring, presumably to interfere on behalf of their respective charges. They ended up brawling through the crowd and to the back. Wyatt finally made it to his feet and walked into another "F-5." This time, Lesnar was able to cover and get his vindicating victory.
Winner and NEW NWA World Heavyweight Champion = Brock Lesnar by pinfall in 28:33
After the card, Cathy Kelley was standing by to conduct a non-streamed NWA: Show Time After Buzz.
William Regal took the time to intro it and it aired on this retrospective program. Kelley interviewed the new North American Tag Team Champions. "American Wolves" declared 2018 to be "the year of the wolf" and that they were "on the hunt." Kelley also interviewed Adam Cole, who declared that he had indeed "proved to the world who the best in the world truly is." Kelley concluded with an interview from Kota Ibushi, who had Japanese translator Junko Suzuki with him. He said his victory over Matt Riddle proved that he deserved to have a formal NWA world Jr. Heavyweight Championship match and that he was officially challenging Riddle to a match. Kelley then signed off after that.
Regal: "Fans, please join us right here on TBS next Tuesday, as we return with our normal Show Time Power Hour! I'm William Regal, saying happy New Year and ta ta for now."
