This episode would have aired on 11/21/2017. I was on the open sea last week with no internet access to post my weekly offering.
William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, my hall of fame co-hosts! Guys, Starrcade 2K17 is in two days! We now know that Brock Lesnar will defend the Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk in a 'Last man Standing' match!"
Michael Hayes: "Yep! That's going to be a fight to the finish for sure!"
Jim Cornette: "The only man who'll be finished at the end of the night is CM Punk!"
Regal: "That remains to be seen. But, tonight, Lesnar will have his hands full with a different opponent, as he, The Rock, and Bobby Roode take on 'The New Face of Fear' in a blockbuster main event! Also tonight, Adam Cole will go one-on-one with Ricochet in a grudge match! If that's not all, 'War Machine' will put the North American Tag team Championship up for grabs against the team that beat them last week, 'Killer Elite Squad!' That match will happen right now! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ NWA North American Tag Team Championship ~ "War Machine"--Hanson & Raymond "Death" Rowe vs. "Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt
This match disintegrated into a fight from the get-go. There was no catch-as-catch-can brilliance. This was a case of four hosses beating the tar out of each other for fifteen minutes and the referee finally losing control. The sheer tag team excellence that was last week's match was thrown out the window this week. It has become a blood feud. "War Machine" not only wanted to serve up the heads of their opponents on a silver platter, but to make amends for what they felt was an embarrassing loss. Ultimately, they got a measure of revenge, winning the match by disqualification after Hoyt introduced a steel chair.
Winner and STILL NWA North American Tag Team Champions = "War Machine" by disqualification in 16:02
After taking the chair away from Hoyt, Hanson and Rowe ran he and Smith out of the ring. Then, Rowe grabbed a microphone.
Raymond Rowe: "You didn't think you'd get off that easy, did you?! This isn't over by a longshot! 'KES,' we've only just begun to fight! We need to know, once and for all, who the best team is! We'll put these belts up against you again, but we want it in a 'No DQ Streetfight!'"
Regal: "Oh my!"
Hayes: "Yeah!"
Cornette: "I don't know if this building can handle that!"
Smith and Hoyt nodded their approval as they left ringside.
Regal: "What a development! We don't know when this match will happen, but we do know they'll tear the house down, quite literally! Fans, we need to take a commercial break. We'll be back with Adam Cole and Ricochet after this!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back! For the sake of time, we're going straight into the next match! Scarlett (Bordeaux), take it away!"
Match Two ~ Adam Cole with Britt Baker vs. Ricochet
Cole went after Ricochet early, but was thwarted by Ricochet's quickness and athletic prowess. Cole eventually took over, working on Ricochet's left knee. He eventually locked Ricochet in the "Figure-Four Leglock," a nod to Commissioner Ric Flair. Ricochet persevered and made it to the ropes for a break. Ricochet fought off repeated attempts by Cole to go after the knee. He hit an "Enziguiri" that stopped Cole in his tracks. Despite his lack of mobility, Ricochet continued to advance his control over Cole. Ricochet valiantly climbed to the top, hoping for his "630 Senton Splash," but Britt Baker pushed him off the top rope as Cole had the referee by the shirt tail. Ricochet came crashing to the mat. Shortly thereafter, AJ Lee came running out and chased Baker backstage. Cole took the advantage he had been gifted by his girlfriend and nailed a "Superkick" to Ricochet's jaw, followed by "Last Shot" for the win.
Winner = Adam Cole by pinfall in 17:43
Regal: "Once again, Adam Cole uses an assist to gain the victory!"
Hayes: "The sad thing is he's one of the best out there! He doesn't need shortcuts to win!"
Cornette: "Hey, a little help from your friends never hurt anyone!"
Regal: "Except Ricochet, in this case. Nevertheless, Adam Cole is your victor. Fans, when we return, we'll have our huge six-man tag team main event! Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, as we get ready for the main event, here are some words from Bray Wyatt."
Bray Wyatt: "So, your not a man. You're a 'beast,' huh, Brock? So, you don't think like a man. You don't rationalize like a man. You don't strategize like a man. Well now, that makes this a little unfair, doesn't it? You see, I'm not a man, either. But, I am not a simple-minded beast! I am a god! I am the salt in an ocean breeze. I am the heat of molten lava. I am the wisdom of the universe and the calculation of a cold-blooded murderer! I am the only one capable of slaying 'The Beast.' Brock, you intimidate those around you. You win the battle before the first blow is struck. Well, you don't intimidate me, Brock. You amuse me. I will destroy 'The Beast' for sport and mount his head on my wall for the world to see! Run!"
Regal: "Chilling words from the World Champion. Let's go to the ring!"
Match Three ~ "The Richards Collective"--"The Beast" Brock Lesnar, The Rock, & "Glorious " Bobby Roode with Eve Torres and Maryse Ouellet vs. "The New Face of Fear"--"Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt, "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman, & "Lost Sheep" Erick Rowan with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis
This match was an impressive show for Wyatt and company. They physically dominated their opponents, with the exception of Lesnar, who did not see much ring time due to The Rock being isolated for the bulk of the battle. When he did get in, Brock cleaned house. However, the action broke down and he fought to the floor with Wyatt and Rowan along with The Rock. Roode was in the ring with Braun Strowman and fell victim to the Television Champion's "Running Powerslam."
Winners = "The New Face of Fear" by pinfall in 21:19
Regal: "That was a big win for Bray Wyatt and his followers!"
Hayes: "I'll admit I'm a little surprised!"
Cornette: "I'm downright shocked!"
Regal: "Bray Wyatt looks strong heading into Starrcade! But, Brock Lesnar did as well! Both men will be putting their championships on the line against Jeo Hennig and CM Punk, respectively! But, I dare say this issue is far from settled! Fans, please join us next Tuesday for highlights from Starrcade, along with another fantastic episode of the Show Time Power Hour on TBS! Stay tuned to www.nwashowtime.com for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley next! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
