William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, my legendary co-hosts! Men, what a volatile finish to last week's episode! Brock Lesnar now has two foes to vanquish, it would seem! CM Punk and NWA World Champion Bray Wyatt are both targeting 'The Beast!'"
Michael Hayes: "I've been on the wrong side of a bull's eye in my life! I don't envy Brock Lesnar!"
Jim Cornette: "I live life in the bull's eye! But, to have both CM Punk and Bray Wyatt gunning for you?! Brock Lesnar has his work cut out for him!"
Regal: "Indeed, he does! To that end, Commissioner Ric Flair made a blockbuster announcement via the NWA: Show Time website earlier today. Brock Lesnar has will defend the Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk at Starrcade! But, Brock himself has demanded that this be a 'Last Man Standing' match! What an announcement! If that wasn't enough, we have an action-packed program planned for tonight! The North American Tag Team Champions, "War Machine" will be in action this week! They will take on 'Killer Elite Squad' in what should be a hard-hitting affair! World Junior Heavyweight Champion Matt Riddle is here today with his 'Catch Point' brethren! He'll be in action against Hangman Page! And, in our main event, Adam Cole and Bobby Roode will take on CM Punk and Ricochet! So, let's get it under way with some smash mouth tag team action!"
Match One ~ NWA North American Tag Team Champions "War Machine"--Hansen & Raymond "Death" Rowe vs. Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt ~ non-title
Winners = "Killer Elite Squad" by pinfall in 18:38 ("War Machine" retains)
Regal: "What a victory for 'KES!' Big upset over the North American Tag Team Champions!"
Hayes: "Smith and Hoyt just showed the world that they're still an elite tag team, no pun intended!"
Cornette: "Both of these teams are dangerous! Neither of them can beat 'The Revival' or 'Sons of Steel,' but they're still dangerous! Congrats to 'Killer Elite Squad' on a big win that will no doubt catapult them into the North American Title picture!"
Regal: "I should say so! Fans, we'll take a quick commercial break. Matt Riddle will be in action when we return!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, 'SoCal' Val is standing by with 'Catch Point.' Let's go to them at this time."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with the members of 'Catch Point.' They are flanking the new NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Matt Riddle. First of all Matt, congratulations on your huge title win at Halloween Havoc."
Matt Riddle: "The 'King of Bros' is now king of the juniors, bro! How dope is that?!"
Wyndham: "You weren't even scheduled at the pay-per-view, but you persuaded your way into the match and ended up winning. What's next for you and for 'Catch Point?'"
Riddle: "The bros are going to rule the Cruiserweight Tag Titles in Show Time, while I travel the world defending this belt right here, bro. So, it's going to be no different than it ever has been. We'll win, bro. That's what we do."
Wyndham: "You're set to face Hangman Page in moments. He will provide a stern test. How have you prepared for this challenge?"
Riddle: "Bro, I'm a world-renowned superstar. I've been a UFC fighter, and now I'm a World Champion. I wake up the best. I train as the best. I fight as the best. What more prep do I need, bro?"
Drew Gulak: "What you must understand about 'Catch Point' is that we are a collection of talent that was put together very deliberately to achieve one goal...be the best. We've accomplished that and we will maintain that."
Wyndham: "Thank you. Back to you, William."
Regal: "It seems that 'Catch Point' is oozing confidence, perhaps for good reason. Let's go to the ring."
Match Two ~ NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion "King of Bros" Matt Riddle vs. Hangman Page ~ non-title
This was a phenomenally hard-hitting strike fest with some very sound technical wrestling throughout. Hangman Page is a loose cannon sometimes, but is extremely talented. Riddle brings his MMA and amateur wrestling background into play. Page had Riddle reeling for a good portion of the match where he was able to show his more sadistic side. Riddle persevered and got in some heavy-handed shots of his own. Ultimately, Riddle was one step better. Page attempted "Rite of Passage," but Riddle escaped it and dragged Page down into the "Bromission." Hangman fought his heart out, but had to tap eventually.
Winner = Matt Riddle by submission in 12:03
Regal: "Great win by Matt Riddle! But, a valiant effort by Hangman Page!"
Hayes: "Both guys were impressive. But, there's a reason why Riddle is the champion!"
Cornette: "Matt Riddle represents the new-age hybrid athlete and he proved why he's one of the best in that match!"
After the match, Solomon Crowe and Jonathan Gresham came to the ring and collected Page, who reluctantly went with them after coaxing from Crowe.
Regal: "I wonder what that was all about. Fans, we have to take another break. When we return, we'll have our big tag team main event!"
Regal: "We're back and we're ready to head to the ring! Scarlett (Bordeaux), take ti away!"
Match Three ~ "The Richards Collective"--Adam Cole & "Glorious" Bobby Roode with Britt Baker and Maryse Ouellet vs. CM Punk & Ricochet with AJ Lee
When you have four technically sound, seasoned, athletic specimens in the ring, you would expect a stellar battle. If that is the case, you would not be disappointed. This was a fabulous encounter. Both teams, though new to one another, worked flawlessly together. They traded offense hold for hold, and defense counter for counter. It was a masterpiece until the very end. Ultimately, Punk and Ricochet made a big comeback at the end as Punk hit "GTS" on Cole and Ricochet followed up with a "630 Senton Splash." Before Ricochet could get the pin, Brock Lesnar and The Rock ran to the ring and broke up the count.
Winners = CM Punk & Ricochet by disqualification in 20:32
Lesnar hit a big "German Suplex" on Ricochet and went for the "F-5" on Punk for what would have been the third consecutive week. As he hoisted him up, the lights went out. Shortly thereafter, this played on the tron:
When the lights came back up, The Rock, Roode, Cole, Punk, and Ricochet were laid out on the floor. Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, and Erick Rowan surrounded Lesnar inside the ring as Maria Kanellis, acting as "The Spirit of Abigail," screamed instructions from outside. Lesnar tried to attack, but was quickly overwhelmed by the three big men hammering on him. Wyatt picked Brock up, kissed his forehead, and delivered "Sister Abigail" to put Lesnar down. Strowman and Rowan kept the ring clear as Bray knelt down beside Lesnar's fallen body and held out his arms. Wyatt laughed maniacally.
At the conclusion the broadcast, NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired.
Kelley discussed the ending scene and talked about the dominance of Bray Wyatt and his gargantuan henchmen. She then focused her attention on the blockbuster announcement of the Lesnar-Punk "Last Man Standing" showdown at Starrcade 2K17. The question was, could CM Punk survive the inevitable onslaught of "The Beast?" Could he himself inflict enough damage to the seemingly impervious Lesnar to keep him down for a full ten-count? Kelley signed off with that.
