William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are hall of famers Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Fans, as we celebrate Halloween today, we reflect back on what a weekend it was! We're coming off NWA Halloween Havoc, and boy was it a history-making event! The biggest news is that CM Punk and AJ Lee are free to wrestle in NWA: Show Time once again! The finish to their match against Adam Cole and Britt Baker was not without controversy after interference from Ricochet, but they got their hands raised and are now back on the active roster!"
Michael Hayes: "And, we had a main event that wasn't a match! Bray Wyatt was set to defend the World Title against Braun Strowman, but Braun laid down for him and joined 'The New Face of Fear!' And, from what we can tell, Maria Kanellis has been 'possessed' by the spirit of Sister Abigail! That was a creepy situation to watch unfold!"
Jim Cornette: "You'd better believe it was! But, what wasn't creepy was the genius plan that got Matt Riddle thrust into the World Junior Heavyweight Championship match! Then, he won the thing!"
Regal: "Yes, NWA: Show Time has added another World Championship to our resume' in the form of brand new World Junior Heavyweight Champion Matt Riddle, who was not on the card, but who masterfully inserted himself into the picture and was allowed to make it a 'Three-Way Dance.' He pinned Scorpio Sky after Lio Rush, the defending champion, was taken out by NWA: HAWK's 'Eagle Tribe!' Before we go any further today, we have 'SoCal' Val standing by in the ring. She's preparing to interview CM Punk and AJ Lee! Valerie, take it away!"
Valerie Wyndham: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time, CM Punk and AJ Lee."
There was a massive pop for "Cult of Personality," as Punk and AJ came out with huge smiles on their faces. AJ did an extra skip around the ring before entering.
Wyndham: "For those who have not watched the pay-per-view, it's clear by virtue of this interview that you two won your match and are back with the active roster. Congratulations."
CM Punk: "Thanks, Val! You know, it felt really good for AJ and I to come to the arena and go to the locker room, instead of having to come down here and start putting this ring up."
Wyndham: "So, now that you're free to wrestle again, what is next on the horizon for you and your lovely wife?"
Punk: "I'm gunning for the Heavyweight Championship! I want Lesnar and I want to be the first-ever three-time champion!"
Before another question could be asked, Commissioner Ric Flair's music hit to bring him out with a microphone.
Ric Flair: "Did I, did I, woooooo! Did I just hear CM Punk challenge Brock Lesnar to a Heavyweight Championship match?! I don't think so, pal! You've been inactive for months! You don't just step to the head of the line because you won a 'Mixed Tag Team' match!"
Punk: "Well, I did pin your man Adam Cole! He's another two-time champion like myself! That has to count for something!"
Flair: "Listen, Punk! There are plenty of contenders much more worthy to face Brock Lesnar than you!"
Punk: "I get it. There's a long list of challengers. That's a really convenient excuse. What's really going on is that you're afraid I can beat Brock, so you're protecting him from me!"
Flair: "Yeah, right! Brock Lesnar fears no man! You're not even in his league!"
Punk: "Then, why don't you put your money where your mouth is?!"
Flair: "I'm not falling for that trick! You're not going to goad me into giving you a title shot, just like that! Like I said before, you're have to earn it! So, here's what I will do for you. I'm putting you in a match tonight! If you win, you can have your title match with Brock Lesnar! But, when you lose, you go to the back of the line and you want get anywhere near a title match for the rest of the year!"
Punk: "Deal! So, who's my opponent?"
Flair: "You'll find out when everyone else does! See you later, Punk! Woooooo!"
Regal: "Oh my! CM Punk will see action on this program for the first time in months, and if he wins, he will get a future Heavyweight Championship match against Brock Lesnar! But, if he loses, he's out of the championship picture for the rest of the year! The trick is that he won't know who his opponent is until the match happens!"
Hayes: "That's risky, but I'll give the man credit for accepting the match."
Cornette: "Risky?! It's downright stupid! I never would have accepted the match without knowing my opponent! What an idiot!"
Regal: "We'll see how it works out later on! But first, we're going to a couple of stellar matches! Bobby Roode will take on Jay Lethal, who challenged him after Roode defeated Mike Madden in his debut match here. Also, 'Reno Scum' has challenged 'Euro Trash' as a result of the beating they took last week! That match is next, after the break!"
Regal: "We're back! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ "Euro Trash"--Zack Sabre, Jr. & Aleister Black with "The Villain" Marty Scurll vs. "Reno Scum"--Luster the Legend & Adam Thornstowe with "Patron Saint of Filth" Christina Von Eerie
This was one of the best ten-minute matches we've seen this year. All four men showed their scientific and brawling abilities. Sabre was particularly brutal, utilizing his vast array of submissions to weaken his opponent. Black used his striking acumen to precisely chop down his counterparts. In the end, Aleister hit "Black Mass" to stop Luster in his tracks.
Winners = "Euro Trash" by pinfall in 10:38
Regal: "What an impressive showing for 'Euro Trash!' These young men have all the tools in the world!"
Hayes: "They are going to do some damage in the tag team division! Your boys better look out, Jimmy!"
Cornette: "They don't hold a candle to either one of my teams! We'd wipe the floor with them!"
Regal: "That remains to be seen. Fans, we'll take another break. We'll be back with much more action in just a moment!"
Regal: "We're back from commercial. Before we go to the next match, Joanna Rose is with one of the participants, 'Glorious' Bobby Roode and his valet Maryse Ouellet."
Joanna Rose: "I'm here with 'Glorious' Bobby Roode, who is set to do battle with a member of 'House of Truth' for the second consecutive week. Are we seeing a budding rivalry between 'House of Truth' and 'The Richards Collective?'"
Bobby Roode: "Please! To be a rivalry, one of them has to beat me at least once! It hasn't happened yet and it's not going to happen! I thoroughly embarrassed Mike Madden last week, and I'm going to do the same with Jay Lethal this week."
Rose: "Now, Jay Lethal is a world-renowned superstar. He won't be a walk in the park."
Roode: "Thank you for that very astute observation, Joanna! Look, I am the cream of the crop. There is none better. I'm about to go out there and do what I do better than any man alive--win! When that bell rings and my hand is raised, it will be absolutely...glorious!"
Rose: "There you have it. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thank you, Joanna! Fans, let's go back to the ring!"
Match Two ~ "Glorious" Bobby Roode with Maryse Ouellet vs. Jay Lethal with Truth Martini and "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt, Zahra, & Dana Adiva
Roode and Lethal put on a clinic. Move for move, hold for hold, counter for counter, they went on for twenty minutes. This was a nonstop action fest. The climax came when Jay went for "Lethal Injection," only to have Roode reverse it into a "Backstabber," followed by his "Glorious DDT" for the win.
Winner = Bobby Roode by pinfall in 20:07
Regal: "Once again, we've seen a why this is the number one wrestling program in the world! Fantastic showing by both men! Bobby Roode is victorious after a titanic struggle!"
Hayes: "Lethal put up a great fight, but Bobby was a little better tonight!"
Cornette: "Bobby Roode is an elite level athlete. Jay Lethal is not. Period."
Regal: "Fans, we need another break to catch our breaths. We'll be back with CM Punk's quest to become the number one contender to the Heavyweight Championship! Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back and we're ready to head to the ring for main event action!"
Match Three ~ CM Punk with AJ Lee vs. ?
Punk came to the ring and anxiously awaited his opponent. Commissioner Ric Flair came to ringside.
Flair: "Well, well, well. It's time for CM Punk to get his shot! Well, I found a suitable opponent for you. But, I don't think you'll like my choice. Because, you've never beaten this guy!"
This entrance video aired on the tron:
The Rock came stomping to the ring with his eyebrow raised and his mouth firing off ninety miles a minute. The two began to trade punches as soon as the bell rang. Punk got the best of the early exchanges, but a mistake led to The Rock taking over the match. He wore down Punk and tried to go in for the kill, but Punk kept escaping the pinfalls. The Rock was becoming more and more frustrated at his inability to put away the resilient Punk. Eventually, AJ and Eve Torres began to scrum on the floor. Adam Cole then came out to interfere in the match, but was thwarted by Ricochet. In the midst of the confusion, The Rock went for his "Rock Bottom," but Punk elbowed his way out of it. He went for "Go to Sleep," but The Rock elbowed his way out of that. Punk again reversed and sent Rock into the corner, where he hit a running "Step-up Knee Strike." The Rock then staggered into "GTS" for the finish.
Winner and new number one contender = CM Punk by pinfall in 22:19
The crowd went wild after the three-count.
Regal: "What a week for CM Punk! On Sunday, he and AJ win back their ability to wrestle again! Now, today he wins the right to face Brock Lesnar for the Heavyweight Championship!"
Just then, Brock Lesnar appeared out of nowhere and scooped Punk up into an "F-5."
Regal: "Brock Lesnar just delivered a loud and clear message to CM Punk! Fans, we're out of time for this week. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! Don't forget to go to our website, www.nwashowtime.com, for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following the broadcast! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying Happy Halloween and ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired
and gave a more in-depth results rundown of NWA Halloween Havoc, focusing on the matches that featured NWA: Show Time and Femme Fatales wrestlers. Kelley also interviewed Cruiserweight Champion Kota Ibushi, who spoke through an interpreter. Ibushi promised that he will put the Cruiserweight division on his back, and even challenged new World Junior Heavyweight Champion Matt Riddle to a match. With that, Kelley signed off.
