"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 59 (Week 117)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are hall of famers Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Men, we have a potentially volatile episode here today!"

Michael Hayes: "You got it! This thing with 'The Richards Collective' and CM Punk gets worse by the day, and it could come to a head, as he and Adam Cole defend the Tag Team Titles against 'The Insurgence!'"

Jim Cornette: "I told you I would see justice served this week and it will be! 'Sons of Steel' will get their rematch with 'War Machine' and it will be a 'Texas Tornado' match! So, it doesn't matter who makes the pin cover this week! The referee has to count!"

Regal: "That's right, fans! These two tag team matches will be headlined by what should be a massacre, as Brock Lesnar battles Braun Strowman in a 'Last man Standing' match! Fans, it's going to be fantastic! So, let's get to it!"

Match One ~ "Texas Tornado" match ~ NWA North American Tag Team Championship ~ "War Machine"--Hansen & Raymond "Death" Rowe vs. "Sons of Steel"--Boomer Payne & Brice Anthony with Jim Cornette

This was a knock-down, drag-out fight. All four men laced into each other in an evenly fought battle. It was a war of attrition that went longer than anyone expected. "SoS" hit "Steel Curtain" on Hansen. Anthony went for the pin, but Rowe dragged the referee out of the ring at the two-count. He scooted in the ring, "Super Kicked" Boomer out of it, and hit "Death Rowe" on Anthony for the pinfall.

Winners and STILL NWA North American Tag Team Champions = "War Machine" by pinfall in 17:19

Regal: "What a match!"

Hayes: "What a fight!"

Regal: "Look at our broadcast colleague Jim Cornette! He is fit to be tied!"

Cornette ran back to the commentary booth and put on his headset.

Cornette: "We got screwed two weeks in a row! This is a travesty and a miscarriage of justice!"

Regal: "Fans, this is a wild scene. We'll take a break and be back with more in just a moment!"

Regal: "We're back and Jim is still trying to calm down over here!"

Cornette: "Calm down?! I'm not going to calm down! For the second week in a row, my team was screwed out of the North American belts! Would you calm down?!"

Regal: "I'll admit that was controversial with Raymond Rowe pulling the referee out of the ring. But, 'War Machine' ultimately won the match."

Cornette: "That was a bogus call and the world knows it! I'll have the last laugh! You can bet on it!"

Regal: "Indeed. Fans, let's go back to the ring for our next match!"

Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Richards Collective"--CM Punk & Adam Cole with AJ Lee and Britt Baker vs. "The Insurgence"--Kevin Steen & Claudio Castagnoli

Most of the match was actually spent focusing on the women at ringside, who argued the entire time. Ultimately, they came to blows as Baker attacked AJ from behind. This got the attention of Punk, who was in control of the match at the time. He fell victim to a huge "European Uppercut" by Castagnoli, who tagged in Steen. Kevin nailed the "Package Piledriver" on Punk as Claudio blasted Cole off the apron. Three seconds later, new champions were crowned.

Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Insurgence" by pinfall in 22:34

Regal: "Oh my! That result is not going to sit well with Jordan Richards!"

Hayes: "'The Insurgence' earned a great victory, but you're right! Jordan Richards is going to be hot!"

Cornette: "CM Punk lost that one for his team, point blank! He took his eyes off the prize! I'll bet he did it on purpose!"

Regal: "I don't know about that, Jim! He got distracted after his wife was attacked!"

Cornette: "Oh, baloney! He purposely let himself get beat to stick it to Jordan Richards and the rest of 'The Richards Collective!'"

Jordan Richards and Karlee Perez stormed to the ring, along with The Rock and Ricochet. Maryse Ouellet and Eve Torres were en tow. Richards berated CM Punk, who was struggling to recover in the ring. AJ Lee was checking on her man. Richards grabbed her up by the arm and shoved her into the corner. He began to scream, "You caused this!" as AJ tried to defend herself. Punk sprang up and went after Richards, but was stopped by The Rock, Ricochet, and Cole, who laid the boots to Punk as Richards made AJ watch. He kept screaming to the both of them, "You will learn some respect one way or another!" Richards then demanded that Baker, Ouellet, and Torres jump AJ, which they did. The scene looked like a lynch mob had come through. Punk and Lee were left laying in heaps. Richards grabbed a microphone.

Jordan Richards: "How many times do I have to tell you two idiots?! You do not cross the boss! You are my property and you will show me and everyone else in 'The Richards Collective' some respect! To get along, you have to go along! Next week, CM Punk and AJ Lee will face Adam Cole and Britt Baker in a 'No Holds Barred Street Fight!' When Adam and Britt win, Punk and AJ will serve out the rest of their contracts as part of the ring crew! They'll be setting up the ring in every town, but they won't be allowed to wrestle in it again!"

Regal: "What an announcement by Jordan Richards! He's mandating that CM Punk and AJ Lee wrestle a 'Street Fight' against Adam Cole and Britt Baker next week, and, if they lose, they become part of the ring crew and will not be allowed to wrestle for the remainder of their contracts!"

Hayes: "That's huge! Jordan Richards is really sticking it to Punk and AJ!"

Cornette: "He's not sticking it to them! They did it to themselves! Ungrateful morons is what they are! They have the world at their fingertips, handed to them on a silver platter, and they can't just go along!"

Regal: "Obviously, it's not as simple as that. Nevertheless, we need to take another commercial break before this huge main event! We'll be back with more! Stay with us!"

Regal: "Fans, it's time for what should be a war of mythic proportions! It's a 'Last man Standing' match between two men who don't move backward one inch!"

Hayes: "I think one of them may have to kill the other one to win tonight!"

Cornette: "It's the monster versus the beast! Who's going to win it?! I can't wait to find out!"

Regal: "Well, wait no more, because it's time to go back to the ring!"

Match Three ~ "Last Man Standing" match ~ non-title ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres vs. "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman with Maria Kanellis

Utter carnage is the only way to describe this match. Anything that wasn't nailed down was used as a weapon. The commentary booth was destroyed as both men went through it. Amazingly, they both made the ten-count. Bump after bump occurred with neither man staying down. They were akin to Michael Myers fighting Jason Vorhees. They simply would not die. The final "death blow" came just past the twenty-minute mark. Strowman uncharacteristically went to the top rope. Lesnar caught him and the two began to jostle for position. Both were standing precariously on the top rope. Lesnar then uncorked a "German Suplex" from the top rope to the floor, sending both men crashing through four tables that had been stacked (two columns of two tables) by Strowman, but never used. They exploded the tables upon impact. The fans went ballistic, starting a very clear "Holy s---!" chant. The announcers were beside themselves. The referee did not even count. He immediately threw up the "X" sign and called for the bell.

Winner = no contest in 20:47

Regal: "What a hellacious fight! I've never seen such carnage!"

Hayes: "This place is destroyed and they may be too!"

Cornette: "It looks like the aftermath of an earthquake out here! Brock and Braun are buried beneath all the rubble!"

Regal: "Fans, we'll pause to try and restore order. We'll be back with a parting word."

During the break, trainers and EMT's rushed to the scene to check on the two combatants. After clearing the debris, they attempted to stretcher both men out of the arena. Amazingly, they both came off their stretchers and tried to get at each other. Security came to the area to separate both men.

Regal: "We're back and what we witnessed during the break was nothing short of miraculous! Both men were loaded onto stretchers. When they saw each other, they both fought their way off the stretchers and went after one another again! Security has separated them and they are being attended to in the trainers' rooms. That was astounding! We may never see a brawl like what we saw here tonight! Fans, that takes us to end of our broadcast.
