"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 57 (Week 113)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. Alongside me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, my hall of fame co-hosts! We have an exciting program lined up her tonight!"

Michael Hayes: "You bet your you know what we do!"

Jim Cornette: "We've got more excitement in this one hour than most people see in a week!"

Regal: "Indeed we do, Jim! we will see 'Worldwide Underground' defend the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship against 'Catch Point!' We'll also see Braun Strowman in action as he defends the Television Championship against Cody Hall! In our main event..."

Just then, Commissioner Ric Flair's music hit to bring him out, along with Britt Baker.

Ric Flair: "Woooooo! The 'Queen City' is on fire tonight! You've got the Commissioner, the 'Nature Boy,' looking as only he can look, walking that aisle with this beautiful young lady, who has something to say right now!"

Britt Baker: "Last week, I was sneak-attacked by Maria Kanellis, which I get, because she has been jealous of me since the day I got to this company. But, to have AJ Lee, who's supposed to be on the same page with me, jump me too is completely uncalled for! She just showed how stupid she is! I didn't need a reason to kick Maria's tail, but now I'm really going to beat her down! But, I want AJ too! So, I went to our distinguished Commissioner earlier today and I got a match signed. It's going to be AJ Lee and Maria Kanellis against me and a partner of my choosing right here tonight! You may have thought you two would be associates one time only, but you'll have to coexist one more time against me! I hope that attempt to take me out last week was worth the effort! Tonight, you get your receipt!" 

Maria Kanellis came to ringside.

Maria Kanellis: "You sure do talk a big game for someone who's outnumbered! So, you got a match signed! Congratulations, but you still have to pick a partner and the only friend you have is Adam Cole! If you think bringing him to the ring to face AJ and I is going to guarantee you a victory, you're dead wrong! We'll beat him up just like we beat you up last week!"

Baker: "Maria, you need to learn your place in this world, and that's under my foot! You're trash! That's why Adam replaced you with me! We're both so far above you, it's pathetic! And, as for AJ, she's an idiotic psychopath, skipping around her like she owns the place! Well, she's going to learn her position in the pecking order tonight too!"

AJ Lee came out to a nice reception.

AJ Lee: "Britt, you've done about all the talking about me you're going to do for one night! It's time to put up or shut up! You talk about knowing your place! You've been here for a cup of coffee and you think that you get to tell me what to do?! I don't think so, honey! Just because Ric Flair is in Jordan Richards' back pocket doesn't mean you have any power over me! I don't care who your partner is! If I have to team with Maria to get my hands on you, I will, gladly!"

Baker: "So, I guess you two have it all figured out! Look at you, down there all united like besties! Well, I have a best friend too! And, she just got signed by Jordan Richards earlier today! In fact, she's backstage with her contract just to prove it!"

The scene shifted to the backstage area, where this image showed:

Apparently, Chelsea Green, Britt's longtime friend and tag team partner on the indy circuit, has been offered a contract. She waived at the camera with the document in her hand.

Baker: "That's right, girls! 'Fire-n-Nice' is back together again! We'll see you pathetic losers in just a few minutes!"

Regal: "Well, that was an interesting development! It seems we have an extra attraction her tonight in the first ever ladies tag team match on this program since NWA: Femme Fatales was created! 'Fire-n-Nice,' who I've seen on the independent scene, will do battle with Maria and AJ, who are teaming for the first time ever! Now, as I was saying earlier, our main event tonight will pit CM Punk against The Dudleys in a 'Handicap' match mandated by Commissioner Flair! Without further adieu, let's go to the ring!"

Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship ~ "Worldwide Underground"--"Darewolf" PJ Black & Jack Evans with Taya vs. "Catch Point"--"No Fly" Drew Gulak & "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams

This was a fantastic match featuring a real contrast in styles. The technical, crisp expertise of "Catch Point" was matched against the highflying wizardry of the champions. In the end, a clever distraction made the difference. Fellow "Catch Point" member Fred Yehi and Matt Riddle (NWA: HAWK) came to ringside at a pivotal juncture. Black and Evans were noticeably caught off guard and fell victim to stereo "European Uppercuts." Evans was dumped to the outside while Gulak and Williams hit their double-team finisher to clinch the victory.

Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions = "Catch Point" by pinfall in 10:03

Regal: "What a win for 'Catch Point,' as they capture the Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles! They did get the big lift with a distraction from their partners, but, nevertheless, they come away with a victory!"

Hayes: "Great match that could have gone either way!"

Cornette: "Hey, all Yehi and Riddle did was come to watch the match! They didn't interfere and did nothing illegal! That win was fair and square, Regal!"

Regal: "If you see it that way. I say they came down specifically for the distraction, which is interference in my book!"

Cornette: "Well, it's a good thing your book and the rulebook are two different things!"

Regal: "Maybe so. Fans, we have to step away for a break. We'll be back!"

Regal: "We're back! Fans, it's now time for the ladies tag team match! I suspect this one will be as ferocious as anything the men will do tonight!"

Match Two ~ "Fire-n-Nice"--Britt Baker & Chelsea Green vs. AJ Lee & Maria Kanellis

This was an epic catfight. Baker and Green came out first and beckoned their opponents:

Lee and Kanellis came out together, but the jury was still out on their actual friendship, or lack thereof. The fact that they really do not like each other was confirmed during the match, as their were several miscommunications throughout. Kanellis eventually left AJ to fend for herself. Green and Baker took it to Aj with a vengeance. AJ fought back as hard as she could, but eventually fell victim to a "Double Superkick" that took her lights out.

Winners = "Fire & Nice" by pinfall in 9:47

Regal: "That ended up being a dismantling by Britt Baker and Chelsea Green, especially after Maria Kanellis abandoned AJ Lee mid-match!"

Hayes: "Maria got tired of taking that butt-whipping and hightailed it to the back!"

Cornette: "I guess that goes to show how deep the friendship between AJ and Maria really goes. AJ might want to think about trying to get along with Britt Baker before she ends up hurt!"

Regal: "You may be right, although one can hardly blame AJ. ever since being forced back into 'The Richards Collective,' she and husband CM Punk have been the object of scorn."

Cornette: "You reap what you sow."

Regal: "I guess you're right. Fans, let's go back to the ring."

Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman with Maria Kanellis vs. Cody Hall with Scott Hall

Strowman is every bit the monster his name implies. He took the fight to Cody Hall immediately. Hall, no small man himself, held his own for a bit. Eventually, the massive size and strength of Strowman overwhelmed Hall. Braun hit his "Running Powerslam" for the win.

Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Braun Strowman by pinfall in 10:21

Regal: "Another dominating performance by Braun Strowman!"

Just then, AJ Lee hit the ring and chased off Maria Kanellis. Strowman followed behind them.

Hayes: "Maria was running like a scalded dog!"

Cornette: "She hightailed it, alright!"

Regal: "Fans, we'll be back with our main event next!"

Regal: "We're ready to get this 'Handicap' match underway. CM Punk is being led to the slaughter, it would appear."

Match Four ~ "Handicap" match ~ CM Punk with AJ Lee vs. "The Dudley Boys"--Bully Ray & D-Von with Taylor Gallagher

This was a glorified massacre for most of the match. Punk had a few lone bright spots, but was pretty much beaten down without mercy for a good while. He ducked a double-team effort and turned it into offense at the end. Bully went to smash Punk, who was being held by D-Von. Punk ducked and Bully nailed his brother, sending him through the ropes and to the floor. Bully was instantly remorseful and went over to check on D-Von. Punk took advantage, spun Bully around, scooped him onto his shoulders, and delivered a quick "GTS" for the surprise win that got a huge response from the crowd.

Winner = CM Punk by pinfall in 20:53

Regal: "What a win! CM Punk pulled it out against impossible odds!"

Hayes: "That's why he's the best in the world!"

Cornette: "So called. But, it was a good win."

Regal: "Fans, I can't believe he came through the 'Handicap' match against one of the most notoriously rough teams in wrestling history and won! Wow! We're all out of time for this hour.
