William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are my broadcast colleagues Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! tonight, we have what could be an instant classic in our main event!"
Michael Hayes: "You got that right, and it's right up my alley with tag team action! 'The Revival' will take on Adam Cole and CM Punk for the Tag Titles!"
Jim Cornette: "Michael, I know a thing or two about tag team wrestling myself, and this could be one of the best tag matches we've seen in a long time!"
Regal: "Jordan Richards gave Cole his pick of partners and he has chosen Punk. Jordan also mandated to Punk that he give his best effort against his former stable mates or Punk's wife AJ Lee would be fired from our sister promotion NWA: Femme Fatales! Talk about motivation!"
Hayes: "Yep! Gotta keep the little woman happy!"
Cornette: "Something you know very little about, Michael. By the way, the bigger story here tonight is Adam Cole becoming the first ever 'Grand Slam Champion' in this company's history! Let's talk about that!"
Regal: "Indeed. Adam Cole has won every Heavyweight Championship available in NWA: Show Time, except the Tag Team Championship. Should he and Punk win tonight, he will be in rarified air as the first and only 'Grand Slam Champion' in Show Time history! There's a lot riding on this match for both teams. 'The Revival' is looking to extend the longest Tag Team Title reign in Show Time history as well. It' going to be a dandy, no doubt about. We'll also see Cody Hall in action in just a moment, as he is returning from a tour of The Orient with his father Scott Hall. He will face Jay White. In fact, let's go to the ring now!"
Match One ~ Cody Hall with Scott Hall vs. Jay White
White is a phenomenal athlete and really took the fight to his larger opponent. Hall used his size and power as an advantage against the quicker White. Jay actually had the match going his way for portions. For the second time in recent weeks, Solomon Crowe walked out during the match to observe. This seemed to distract Jay slightly. Hall took advantage with a big boot to the face, followed by the "Razor's Edge."
Winner = Cody Hall by pinfall in 8:43
Regal: "Impressive win by Hall, who continues to improve in the ring. But, what about young Jay White, who took it to him?!"
Hayes: "Good outing by both men! I'd say the tide turned when Solomon Crowe came to ringside."
Cornette: " No one seems to know what his interest is in White. He has yet to interact with him, but he seems very interested in watching his matches."
Regal: "It is a peculiar dynamic. Fans, we have to take a break. We'll be back with more in just a moment!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back! During the break, we were told that Commissioner Ric Flair had an announcement. Let's see what he has to say."
Ric Flair's familiar entrance them played to bring out the distinguished Commissioner to a mixed reaction of mostly boos.
Ric Flair: "You people have already been told about the main event tonight for the Tag Team Championship. Well, what you weren't told is that I have decided to add a special stipulation. We have a little less than fifty usable minutes left in the broadcast. Why don't we make them all count?! Just to be sure that the winner tonight is a true winner, I'm making this an 'Iron Team' match! The most falls in the television time remaining wins! Get these two teams out here and let's get this thing started!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Iron Team" match ~ "The Revival"--Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson vs. "The Richards Collective"--Adam Cole & CM Punk with Britt Baker and AJ Lee
Given Punk's impetus to compete hard to save his wife's job, he fought valiantly. He started the match off with a handshake to Dash and Dawson, showing that he was still friendly with them after having been part of "The Power Trip" alongside them for many months. The match itself lived up to expectations. Surprisingly, though through some trickery, Cole and Punk took a 2-0 lead in the match. Cole got the first fall after reversing an "O'Connor Roll" and holding Wilder's tights for fall one. Cole then used an assist from Baker to pin Dawson for fall two (she held Scott's leg, preventing him from kicking out of a pinning combination). Punk was incensed at the cheating, but had to stay true to the team. The action began to get more heated after Punk and his former associates exchanged their first punches in the heat of battle. "The Revival" Came back to tie it up at 2-2 with just under three minutes left in the time limit of forty-five minutes. They hit "Shatter Machines" on both Cole and Punk to gain pinfalls. The last three minutes of time were furious, with both teams attempting pin after pin. With less than ten seconds left on the clock, Punk hit a "GTS" on Dawson, but was hesitant to cover his friend. Cole knocked Wilder off the apron and dumped Punk out of the ring before making the cover himself. The referee counted the three with two seconding of remaining time. Wilder was powerless to even attempt a pin as the last couple of seconds ticked off the clock.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Richards Collective" by a score of three-falls-to-two in a total match time of 45:00
Regal: "They've done it! Adam Cole and CM Punk have become the Tag Team Champions!"
Hayes: "What a match! I have to hand it to both teams!"
Cornette: "Especially that 'Revival!" Those guys remind me of my 'Midnight Express!' With a little guidance, I could make those boys the best team in the world! But, hat's off to Cole and Punk. They won it!"
Regal: "Which makes Adam Cole the 'Grand Slam Champion!'"
Cole celebrated with both Tag Team Championship belts in hand. Punk looked on rather dejectedly. Cole and Baker embraced and kissed in center ring as the rest of "The Richards Collective" piled into the ring. Confetti began to fall from the arena ceiling in a gaudy celebration scene. Jordan Richards and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin raised Punk's hands, but he didn't seem at all happy about the result of the match.
Regal: "It seems that this new look 'Richards Collective' is well on its way to becoming the juggernaut we thought it had the potential for. Fans, we are completely out of time for this episode. Please join us next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
