William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my hall of fame co-host, Michael Hayes! Michael, we ended last week's episode with a huge brawl. Can we expect more of the same this week?"
Michael Hayes: "Billy boy, I've learned to expect the unexpected around here."
Regal: "Indeed. Fans, new Commissioner Ric Flair has promised a decision concerning the Mid-Atlantic Championship. Also, we'll see..."
Just then, "Also Sprach Zarathustra" played to bring out Commissioner "Nature Boy" Ric Flair to a pop.
Ric Flair: "WOOOOOOO! William, I know you and Michael were giving the rundown for tonight, but I couldn't wait any longer to get out here in front of the great fans of Charlotte, North Carolina! I'm not going to be longwinded right now, because we have a big episode planned tonight. So, I'll get right down to business. The Mid-Atlantic Championship is vacant after Adam Cole won the Television Championship. So, I've made a decision on how and when we crown a new champion. The how is a 'Four-Way Elimination' match. The when is right now! Four former champions are going to fight it out until one man is left! WOOOOOO!"
Regal: "Well now! That's a quick decision!"
Hayes: "Let's get it on!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Championship ~ "Four-Way Elimination" match ~ Claudio Castagnoli with Lisa Varon vs. "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin with Veda Scott vs. "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas with "The Enchantress" Skyler Moon vs. The Rock with Eve Torres
This was an instant classic, with four different styles and personalities vying for championship gold. Benjamin was eliminated first, in scintillating fashion. He leapt from the top rope for his "Springboard Shooting Star Press" onto Claudio Castangoli, who ultimately had baited him. Claudio stood up just as Benjamin leaped and nailed him with a stiff "European Uppercut" on his descent. Castangoli celebrated his win a bit too long, and turned around into a "Rock Bottom" that sent him packing. The Rock and Judas fought to a stalemate for quite a while. Finally, Skyler Moon got involved with Eve Torres, accosting her from behind. The Rock saw this and reached through the ropes to grab Moon by the hair. As he pulled Moon up to the ring apron, Judas struck from behind. He then scooped The Rock up and launched him with "El Crucifejo." Judas went for the pin. The Rock got his foot on the bottom rope at two, but Moon rushed over to knock it off before the referee (Todd Sinclair) saw it.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Champion = Mikael Judas by pinfall in a total match time of 22:18
After the match, Torres rushed Moon and a catfight ensured. Judas jerked Torres off Moon and threw her to the mat. He stalked her as she backed up into the corner. Before Judas could get his hands on Torres, The Rock "laid the smack down," knocking him out of the ring.
Regal: "Mikeal Judas has regained the Mid-Atlantic Championship, albeit very controversially. The pin never should have counted!"
Hayes: "The Rock had his foot on the bottom rope early in the count, and the ref never saw it! Skyler Moon was able to knock The Rock's foot off the ropes without the striped monkey so much as looking up! Get that guy some glasses!"
Regal: "Nevertheless, the first ever Mid-Atlantic Champion is reunited with the title. Skyler Moon has proven to be a real asset to Mikael Judas since they joined forces. "
Hayes: "Joined forces?! More like since she bewitched him!"
Regal: "Fair enough. Fans, we have to take a break. Back in a moment!"
Regal: "We're back on the Show Time Power Hour! 'So Cal' Val is standing by with new Mid-Atlantic Champion Mikael Judas and Skyler Moon. Val?"
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with brand new Mid-Atlantic Champion, 'Priest of Punishment' Mikael Judas and his associate, 'The Enchantress' Skyler Moon. We saw the replay of the final fall, where Skyler blatantly knocked The Rock's foot off the bottom rope to secure the win. Skyler, why would you break the rules, especially in a match of that magnitude?"
Skyler Moon: "Break the rules?! Whose rules are we talking about?!"
Wyndham: "Well, for starters, the NWA's rules, along with those of NWA: Show Time's."
Moon: "Ha! We do not play by the rules of mortal men. People say rules are meant to be broken. I believe that rules are meant for the slothful and undisciplined. They are meant to be improved upon. When I knocked The Rock's foot off the bottom rope, as you so ineloquently put it, I did so to right a wrong. Mikael Judas has a destiny and The Rock was impeding it. He circumnavigated the pathway to destiny. I simply rerouted that pathway."
Wyndham: "Mikael, how does it feel to be a two-time Mid-Atlantic Champion?"
Mikael Judas: "Feel? I do not waste time on emotional ties that bind the soul. Feelings are for fools and simpletons! I do not feel. I simply act upon that which my destiny calls for."
Wyndham: "Well, what is the next step in your destiny?"
Moon: "Ah, ah, ah, little one. Only one step of a path should be revealed at a time. Come along, Mikael. We have much to discuss."
Wyndham: "William, back to you."
Regal: "Thank you, Valerie. Fans, let's go back to the ring."
Match Two ~ "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle vs. Hangman Page
This was a fine match for about four minutes. Then, "The Beast" Brock Lesnar ran to the ring and destroyed both men.
Winner = no contest in 4:21
Regal: "Brock Lesnar just ripped through both Kurt Angle and Hangman Page in destructive fashion!"
Hayes: "He ran over them like a tornado through a trailer park!"
Lesnar then grabbed a microphone.
Brock Lesnar: "Hey, Flair! Listen up! I demand a Heavyweight Title shot here tonight! Make it happen!"
Commissioner Flair came out with a microphone.
Flair: "Hold on now, Brock. I know you're used to taking what you want, but you're not going to come out here and make demands of me. If you want a match for the Heavyweight Championship, you need to state your case."
Lesnar: "I have gone through everyone they've ever put in front of me! I was undefeated for two years! The only match I have lost in the NWA was at Starrcade, and it took ten men to beat me! I have never lost a match for this company and I have never had a title match!"
Flair: "You've ever fought wrestled for a title here?! Well, we have to rectify that right now. I am going to grant you a match for the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk in the main event tonight!"
"Cult of Personality" hit to bring out "The Power Trip."
CM Punk: "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Did I hear Ric Flair just come out here and grant Brock Lesnar a title match, just like that?! You can't book me in title defenses on the fly! I have contractual obligations to fulfill!"
Flair: "Actually, Punk, I can do that and I did! So, it's a good thing you're in your gear, because the match is about to start! Nick (Patrick), get out here and ring that bell!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ CM Punk with AJ Lee & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres
This match was another in the many storied trips to "Suplex City." Lesnar threw Punk around like a ragdoll for the bulk of the match. Punk did manage to snag control for a couple of extended periods, where he slowed down "The Beast" and worked on his head and neck. Punk actually hit "GTS," but Brock kicked out at two. Punk's eyes were as big as saucers at the prospect that his best weapon did not work. He locked in the "Anaconda Vice," But Brock powered out of it and locked in a "Kimura" of his own. Punk writhed in pain, but made it to the ropes for a break. Lesnar went back to the "German Suplexes." He hit a total of sixteen in all. Finally, after the last "German," Brock smiled maniacally and hoisted Punk up for an "F-5." Punk's body thudded on the canvas with the force of Brock's mighty toss. Lesnar covered for what should have been an academic pinfall. At the count of 2.5, Austin dragged the referee out of the ring, prompting the disqualification.
Winner = Brock Lesnar by disqualification in 28:19 (Punk retains the championship)
Lesnar was infuriated. He dashed after Austin, chasing him out of the ringside area. Austin fled like the proverbial scalded dog. Lesnar returned to the ring, as Punk lay motionless. He grinned and grabbed the champion up for another thunderous "F-5." Not satisfied, hit a third "F-5." Finally, the Security force was sent to the ring and Lesnar manhandled each of them as AJ Lee dragged her husband out of the ring.
Regal: "Brock Lesnar is like a man possessed!"
Hayes: "He's got a taste for gold! He had that World Title for so long, he got used to it! He needs to get some more gold around his waist!"
Lesnar screamed to the top of his lungs. He spotted AJ Lee and CM Punk staggering up the entrance ramp. He ran after them and waylaid Punk on the ramp. Lee shrieked and begged Lesnar to leave them alone. He laughed at her, then picked Punk up and executed another "F-5" onto the steel ramp way.
Regal: "Brock Lesnar is in absolutely unstoppable form here tonight!"
Hayes: "All I can say is that no one better cross his path right now."
Brock looked down at the fallen Punk and yelled, "That belt will be mine!" AJ Lee shielded her man with a terrified look on her face.
Regal: "Fans, we're out of time. We leave you with this parting shot of Brock Lesnar, the bloodthirsty 'Beast Incarnate.' Please join us next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
