"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 45 (Week 89)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my hall of fame co-host, Michael Hayes! Michael, we ended last week's episode with a bang, quite literally, heading into SuperBrawl, which proved to be a very controversial event for the members of NWA: Show Time!"

Michael Hayes: "You got that right, Jack! Brock Lesnar got screwed out of the World Heavyweight Title and Adam Cole got screwed out of the Show Time Heavyweight Title!"

Regal: "Indeed. Lesnar won the main event by disqualification after interference by 'The Wyatt Family.' Adam Cole looked to have regained the NWA: Show Time Championship for an unprecedented third time, but the match awarded to CM punk in a highly controversial decision by a dazed referee. We'll get to the bottom of this today, as CEO Jordan Richards will address the situation. Also on the program will be the debut of 'War Machine,' a monster tag team from the Midwest! Plus, we'll see..."

"If ya smelllllllll, what The Rock, is cookin'!" blared to bring out The Rock to a thunderous applause.

The Rock: "The Rock is downright pissed off after last week! The Television Championship was as good as back home, until 'The Insurgence' decided to punk out and interfere. Kevin Steen, you were beaten. The Rock says he deserves a little retribution tonight! If you have the guts, Steen, you'll go one-on-one with the great one and put that TV Title on the line once again!"

Kevin Steen came to ringside with Lisa Varon en tow.

Kevin Steen: "So, The Rock is calling me out, huh? I guess I'm smelling what The Rock is cookin.' Well, I don't really see the need to wrestle you tonight. I have proven myself against your little 'Collective' time and time again. Why do I need to step back into the ring with you? I think I'm going to have to pass."

The Rock: "Hey, Lisa! Why don't you give your boy his balls back!"

Lisa Varon: "Who do you think you are talking to Kevin Steen like that?! Furthermore, who do you think you are trying to talk to me at all?! You're not worth my time!"

The Rock: "The Rock says that Lisa Marie Varon is gutter trash and so is Kevin Steen! The Rock can beat both of you at one time!"

Steen: "Is that so? Why don't you put your money where your mouth is?! Why don't you take both of us on?!"

The Rock: "The Rock has no problem with that, jabronis! Let's do this!"

Varon: "In fact, you know what? I'm, feeling generous. Why don't you get Eve Torres or one of those other little girls you run around with to be your partner and we'll make it a 'Mixed Tag Team' match!"

The Rock: "The Rock hears what you're saying, and he likes it! The Rock's gonna get himself a partner, but it won't be Eve Torres. No, no. She's happily retired from the ring. The Rock has somebody else in mind. It'll only take one phone call and she'll be here, ready to go! When she does arrive, we'll be rockin' the ring, and the 'Queen City' will see the jabroni beatin,' pie eatin,' most electrifying man in wrestling do what he does best: lay the smack down on your candy a***s! If ya smellllllll, what The Rock, is cookin'!"

Regal: "Oh my! What a way to start this hour off! We're going to see a 'Mixed Tag Team' match featuring 'The Insurgence' against The Rock and a female partner of his choosing!"

Hayes: "And, it's a 'Mixed Tag,' not an 'Intergender' match! There is an important difference In the 'Mixed Tag' rules, the women and men can fight each other! This could get very interesting!"

Regal: "Yes, it certainly could! Fans, let's get the action started right now! Scarlett Bordeaux is standing by with the first match!"

Match One ~ "The House of Truth"--"Southern Savior" Jon Skyler & "Born Winner" Mike Madden with Truth Martini & the "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt, Zahra, and Dana Adiva vs. "War Machine"--Hansen & Raymond "Death" Rowe

"War Machine" is an imposing team, physically and athletically. They absolutely overwhelmed their opponents with size, strength, agility, and surprising speed. It was over before it really got started after "Fallout" on Madden.

Winners = "War Machine" by pinfall in 4:23

The fans were hooting their approval when Tag Team Champions "The Revival" came to the entrance.

Scott Dawson: "Very impressive, boys. But, don't think you're going to come in here and run roughshod over this tag team division. You see, Dash and I are the resident greatest tag team in the sport, in case you haven't heard! No one is going to steal our thunder, least of, a couple of dirty, greasy, bearded chumps!"

Raymond Rowe grabbed a microphone.

Raymond Rowe: "Why don't you come and say that to our faces, punks?! Do you think we're scared of you?! We fear no man!"

Dash and Dawson made their way down the aisle. Fans began to get louder with each step. They hopped onto the apron and jumped into the ring, only to be run off by "War Machine" after a "Spin Kick of Doom" and a "Uranage."

As they backed out of the ring and regrouped, CEO Jordan Richards stepped out of the entrance way.

Jordan Richards: "I signed these guys yesterday, and they're already making my Tag Team Champions look bad today. You know what? 'The Revival' says their the best tag team in the world. Well, the best surely has no problem proving it! So, here's what we're going to do. I have two teams, dressed to perform. I have a referee in the ring already. I have to shiny Tag Team Championship belts. We're going to have ourselves an impromptu match for the Championship right now!"

"The Revival" was fit to be tied, but reluctantly went back to the ring. They were joined by the former Commissioner Scott Hall and "Under Boss" of "The Bullet Club," Bad Luck Fale.

Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Revival"--Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson with Scott Hall & "Under Boss" Bad Luck Fale vs. "War Machine"--Hansen & Raymond "Death" Rowe

"War Machine" owned the early part of the match. "The Revival" owned the middle. "War Machine" fought back and had the match won, until Fale pulled the referee out of the ring during a pin count. The referee immediately called for the bell.

Winners = "War Machine" by disqualification in 12:19 ("The Revival" retains)

After the match, Jordan Richards came back out and made the following decree:

Richards: "I'm not having it! I'm tired of constant 'Bullet Club' interference! Next week, 'War Machine' gets another shot at the Tag Team Championship! This time, the disqualification rule is waived! If Dash and Dawson get disqualified, they will lose the titles!"

Dash and Dawson were fit to be tied.

Regal: "What an announcement by our CEO! Fans, we have to take a break. Back in a moment!"

Regal: "We're back from commercial! Fans, 'SoCal' Val is in the ring with Jordan Richards, who wishes to address NWA SuperBrawl. Valerie, take it away!"

Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with founder, owner, and CEO of NWA: Show Time and NWA: Femme Fatales, Jordan Richards. Now, this promotion had two matches in which our stars were represented. CM Punk defended the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship against Adam Cole in a 'Lights Out' match, and Brock Lesnar invoked his rematch clause to challenge Bray Wyatt for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Both matches ended controversially."

Richards: "Yes, they did, Val. Let's call a spade a spade. Brock Lesnar was cheated out of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship for the second time in a row. Blatant outside interference from multiple parties cost him the championship at Starrcade, and blatant outside interference from multiple parties cost him a chance at regaining the championship Sunday night. Brock will receive another rematch, but the date and venue have not been decided. As the Chairman of the NWA Board of Governors, I will see to it that 'The Wyatt Family' is barred from ringside, so that this will be a genuine one-on-one match! Now then, Adam Cole has been robbed of the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship as well. He literally pinned CM Punk in the middle of the ring. The referee counted the fall and rang the bell. However, that same official was groggy and was down after being hit with a 'Stone Cold Stunner' earlier in the match. So, when the championship belt was handed to him, he staggered over to CM Punk, raised his hand, and gave him the championship belt! It was a mistake on his part, but, due to the fact that NWA bylaws state a licensed official's decision is final, it stands as the official result of the match. CM Punk was pinned, 1-2-3, and still walked out with the title! But, this will be rectified! CM Punk will defend the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship right here next week, in a 'No Disqualification, No Time Limit, Steel Cage' match! Furthermore, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and AJ Lee will be locked inside a separate cage at ringside to prevent any interference! There must and will be a winner!"

"Cult of Personality" played to bring out "The Power Trip."

CM Punk: "This is absolute, unequivocal abuse of power! Jordan Richards, you're trying your best to sabotage my title reign! I'm the best in the world, and I proved it one more time on Sunday! Yet, you still insist on putting me into impossible situations! Well, you might as well start calling me Houdini, because I'll get out of this one next week too!"

Richards: "Punk, you're more delusional than I gave you credit for! You were beaten fair and square in the center of the ring! The only reason you still walk around with that title belt is because a referee had been knocked loopy and didn't know who's hand he was raising! You can call it what you will, but you're defending that championship in the cage next week!"

Punk: "It doesn't matter, because I'll walk out of that cage the same way I walked in: as the Champion!"

Regal: "CM Punk has his back against the wall next week!"

Hayes: "Yep. We'll see what he's really made of when he doesn't have Austin or AJ to bail him out!"

Regal: "Fans, we have to take another break! We'll be back with the 'Mixed Tag Team' match, next!"

Regal: "Fans, we're back! Let's go to the ring for this special challenge match!"

Match Three ~ "Mixed Tag Team" match ~ "The Insurgence"--Kevin Steen & Lisa Varon vs. The Rock & a mystery partner.

Steen and Varon came out confidently. They gloated in the ring and berated fans while they awaited their opponents. The rock's image came on the tron:

The Rock: "I told you two that my partner was a phone call away. She lives right here in Charlotte, North Carolina! She is known to everyone in this town! She went to school here! She became an athlete here! The Rock says, you wanna know who my partner is?! Well, pay attention to the screen, because I have a camera in her dressing room:

The Rock: "That's right, you two pieces of trash! My partner is none other than the queen of the 'Queen City,' Charlotte Flair!"

The two appeared on screen together, as The Rock's theme song began to play:

They hit the ring and immediately went to work. The Rock laid the smack down on Steen, while Charlotte leveled Varon in the corner. Steen and Varon powdered to get their bearings, but were followed out by Rock and Flair. The fans were going ballistic at this point. Eventually, Varon and Steen cornered Flair, with both team members working her over. As per "Mixed Tag Team" match rules, this was perfectly legal. The Rock chomped at the bit in his corner, beckoning Charlotte to make the tag. After what seemed like an eternity, she hit a "Step-Up Enziguiri" on Steen and dragged herself to the corner for the tag. The building came unhinged when The Rock hit the ring. He unloaded on Steen with shot after shot. Varon got brave enough to enter the ring and was met with a boot to the gut and a "DDT." The fight raged on, with Charlotte regaining her composure and all four warring in the ring. The Rock hit a "Rock Bottom" on Varon, which incapacitated her. Charlotte, seizing the opportunity, locked in her innovative "Figure-Eight Leglock." Varon screamed in agony as Steen attempted to free her. The Rock cut him off and dumped him out of the ring. Varon was howling in pain and finally tapped out.

Winners = The Rock & Charlotte Flair by submission in 20:32

Regal: "What a match! Listen to the ovation!"

Hayes: "That was a sight to behold! A Flair in Charlotte winning with an extra special 'Figure Four!'"

Regal: "We'll be back with our main event in just a moment!"

Regal: "Fans, let's go to the ring for our television main event!"

Match Four ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ "Three-Way Dance" ~ "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville vs. Ricochet with Maryse Ouellet vs. Johnny Mundo with "Queen of the Underground" Catrina

Phenomenal match-up. Wall to wall action and excitement. Ricochet was the star of the match. He actually had the winning maneuver. Ricochet dropped Mundo and hit the "630 Senton Splash." Neville, in a stroke of luck, was in the perfect position. He immediately nailed a "Super Kick" on Ricochet and covered Mundo for the pin.

Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Adrian Neville by pinfall in 21:14

Regal: "What a breathtaking display by all three men!"

Hayes: "The cruiserweights never cease to amaze me! Neville found a way again!"

Regal: "Yes, he continues to reign supreme! But, Ricochet had the victory! He'll still be gunning for the championship, I have no doubt! Fans, that's all the time we have for today. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
