William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is hall of famer Michael Hayes! Michael, we had a whale of an episode last week! I expect more of the same this week!"
Michael Hayes: "Yeah, it was an action-packed show, for sure! We had a new Mid-Atlantic Champion crowed, plus Scott Hall got removed as Commissioner!"
Regal: "Indeed! This week promises to be just as big! We'll see the Cruiserweights do battle in a multi-man match! Also, Sinn Bodhi and 'The Freakshow' have promised a new debut! And, we're going to talk about the unsanctioned 'Lights Out' match for the Heavyweight Championship at SuperBrawl! We have so much scheduled, we'd better get to it! Let's go to the ring for tag team excitement!"
Match One ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas & "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice vs. "The All-Americans"--"Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle & "Universal Soldier" Gunner
This was a surprisingly good tag team match. Bo0th teams worked very fluidly, establishing their points of dominance. Judas and Justice worked the power game to perfection, while Angle and Gunner exploited their mat technique and speed advantage. The contest truly was back-and-forth, until about halfway through. At that point, this young lady came and sat at ringside:
The fans and commentators alike were baffled as to why NWA: Femme Fatales referee Buggy Nova came to ringside. She did not interfere in the match, but she did lock eyes with Mikael Judas, whose entire countenance changed from that point. He became almost entranced by Nova, so much so that he lost focus in the task at hand. Jason Justice essentially fought a handicap match from then. He took quite a bit of punishment, unable to get Judas' attention for a tag. Finally, Justice was struck with a big kick from Gunner, followed by an "Olympic Slam" from Angle for the pin. Judas was unaware of the proceedings.
Winners = "The All-Americans" by pinfall in 12:34
Judas seemed to "come to" when he heard the bell ring. He realized then that the match had been lost and that he missed a significant portion thereof. Justice questioned where Judas' head was at. Mikael could offer no explanation. Buggy Nova left her perch and climbed to the ring apron. Judas immediately stopped talking to Justice and locked eyes with Nova once again. He seemed to fall back into his trance as Nova beckoned him. He followed her, almost without control of his own body, to the dressing room area. Justice was left puzzled.
Regal: "What in the world was that all about?"
Hayes: "Yeah! What the heck was Buggy Nova doing out here, and what kind of hold does she have on Mikael Judas?!"
Regal: "We need to find out. Fans, we have to take a break. We'll have more when we return."
Regal: "We're back! We've dispatched Joanna Rose to the back to find Mikael Judas and Buggy Nova, to attempt an interview. We understand she has located tem. Let's go to her now!"
Joanna Rose: "I'm here with Mikael Judas and Buggy Nova..."
Buggy Nova: "Who is this 'Buggy Nova,' of which you speak?"
Rose: Excuse me? Why, Buggy Nova is you. You are NWA: Femme Fatales referee Buggy Nova. We're trying to figure out why you are here and why you have hypnotized Mikael Judas. What are your intentions?"
Nova: "Let me correct all of your many fallacies. First of all, I am not Buggy Nova. She exists on a different plane of being. I am 'The Enchantress' Skyler Moon. Secondly, I have not 'hypnotized' Mikael Judas. When his gaze crossed mine, he became enlightened. You see, when one's pathway is illuminated, his purpose may be fulfilled. That is why I am here. The great deity has sent me to lead Mikael Judas to his ultimate destiny."
Rose: "I see. So, what is Mikael Judas' great destiny?"
Skyler Moon: "Ah, ah, ah. All in good time, my dear. You see, when too much is revealed too soon to man, he inevitably loses his step and his destiny is left unaccomplished. When the time of revelation draws nigh, all will see and know the destiny of my 'Priest of Punishment.'"
Rose: "Mikael, do you have anything to add?"
Mikael Judas never answered, simply glaring intently at Joanna Rose.
Moon: "Come along, Mikael. We have much to prepare for."
Rose: "Back to you, William."
Regal: "Well, that interview did not lend us as much information as we would have liked. It was a it odd, wouldn't you say?"
Hayes: "Odd?! It was downright weird! That witchy woman done got a hold of Mikael Judas!"
Regal: "Fans, we'll be back with more after this commercial break!"
Regal: "We're back and it's time for the cruiserweights to do battle...a 'Battle Royal,' that is!"
Hayes: "I see what you did there!"
Match Two ~ Cruiserweight Contenders Battle Royal ~ Participants: Dean Ambrose, Ricochet, Johnny Mundo, PJ Black, Jack Evans, Jay White, Tony Nese, Noam Dar, Damian Slater, Tyler Bate, "Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne, & "Bona Fide" Fred Yehi (debuting)
There was so much action and so many bodies flying around the ring, it was too much to keep up with. The debuting Fred Yehi was impressive, lasting until fourth place before he was gone. The final three were Jay White, Johnny Mundo, and Ricochet. Mundo and Ricochet ganged up on White to eliminate him. He smacked his hand on the apron in disgust after his ouster. Ricochet and Mundo then fought it out for a few minutes before the controversial ending. Mundo hit a running "Crossbody Press" on Ricochet that sent both men careening into the ropes and over the top. Ricochet held on to the top rope, while Mundo held on to Ricochet's right leg. Both men dangled precariously. Mundo began to yank at Ricochet's leg in an attempt to loosen his grip on the ropes. Both men struggled frantically not to let their feet touch the floor. Finally, Ricochet lost his grip and both men went crashing to the floor at the same time. There was confusion between officials as to what decision they could render.
Winner = Ricochet and Johnny Mundo eliminated each other in a total match time of 13:48
As officials were arguing with the combatants, "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva played to bring out CEO Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Well, it seems we have ourselves a little conundrum here. Both men eliminated each other, so, technically, no one is the winner. However, that is an unsatisfying result for everyone involved. So, here's what we're going to do. I am declaring both of these men the number one contenders to the Cruiserweight Championship! With that said, both men will receive shots at the champion Adrian Neville next week, when they go at it in a 'Three-Way Dance!'"
Regal: "Well, that's one way to go! I was rather hoping for a one-on-one match between Mundo and Ricochet, but a 'Three-Way Dance' could be fantastic!"
Hayes: "Oh yeah! They're gonna tear the house down!"
Regal: "We need to take another commercial break. Back in a moment!"
Regal: "We're back. 'So Cal' Val is standing in the ring, waiting to interview 'The Freakshow,' which has promised a debut tonight. Let's go to her now!"
Valerie Wyndham: "Ladies and gentlemen, 'The Freakshow.'"
Karen DeLa Kreep led out Sinn Bodhi, "Los Psycho Circus," and Pagano.
Wyndham: "We understand that you are debuting a new star tonight."
Karen DeLa Kreep: "We are not debuting a new star, pretty one, but several!"
Wyndham: "What do you mean by that?"
Sinn Bodhi: "Several weeks ago, Knox was left a man without a home, so 'The Freakshow' took him in and covered him with our sheltering wings. Knox was abandoned in his hour of need. But, do not worry. For, Knox is safe and sound and has found himself once again."
Wyndham: "What does all that mean, and what does it have to do with a new debut?"
Sinn Bodhi: Simply this, child. We have returned Knox to the home he had left behind, one he had long since forgotten. Knox' family owned a traveling carnival for decades. Fitting, actually, that our paths would cross. After all, it was in the world of the cizarnies that 'The Freakshow' was bizorn! We simply allowed Knox to tap back into his inner self, his true self. The manchild was born again and has embraced his carnival roots! In fact, he has gone back and procured the services of quite a 'Menagerie' of friends."
Wyndham: "A 'Menagerie?' What sort of 'Menagerie?'"
Sinn Bodhi: "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, 'The Freakshow' is proud to introduce 'The Menagerie!'"
One by one, Sinn Bodhi introduced several individuals, beginning with a massive mountain of a man known as The Titanic:
He was followed by the 'court jester,' of sorts, Crazzy Steve:
Out next was the lovely and flexible Rebel,
who performed a provocative dance and finished with a split across the length of the bottom ring rope. Finally, Knox himself came out:
Knox: "Welcome to the 'Dark Carnival!' I am your master of ceremonies! 'The Menagerie' is here for your entertainment! We will make NWA: Show Time our playground! Let the games begin!"
Bodhi: "It's about to get a lot more fun around here. Especially for us!"
Wyndham: "There you have it. 'The Menagerie,' led by Knox, has made their debut here tonight. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thank you, Valerie. Michael, that was bizarre, to say the least."
Hayes: "yes it was. But, I have to say, that Rebel is one fine woman! I was a little turned on by her gyrating around here!"
Regal: "I would assume so, sir! Fans, we need to go to commercial on that one! We'll be back!"
Regal: "We're back from the break. Fans, as was announced yesterday by CEO and NWA Board of Governors Chairman Jordan Richards, CM Punk will defend the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship against former champion Adam Cole this Sunday at SuperBrawl. However, due to the violence that has occurred between the two recently, the NWA, in a split vote, has chosen not to sanction this match. Jordan Richards himself has sanctioned it on behalf of our company. So, it will take place at the pay-per-view and the title will be on the line. This promises to be an exercise in brutality of the highest order."
Hayes: "You said it! Between the hatred that has developed among those two, along with the wildcard factors of AJ Lee and 'Stone Cold' at ringside, anything can and probably will happen. I hope that Cole has some equalizers out there! Otherwise, he's in for a long night!"
Regal: " We have some previously taped comments from both superstars about the match. Let's hear them now."
Pre-taped comments, along with some previous match footage, was aired.
Adam Cole: "I am a two-time NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion. I am the longest-reigning champion in company history! Why am I saying this? Because, it goes to show that I will stop at nothing to win and retain that championship! I am the best pro wrestler in the world, and I have proven it time and time again. CM Punk is the only thing that stands between me and greatness! He stole the title from me! The whole world saw it! But, the day of restitution is upon us. It's payback time! Unsanctioned. No rules. The NWA can't save you. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin can't save you. Your psychotic wife certainly can't save you. This Sunday, CM Punk, you will meet your match! Once and for all, I will prove who the better man is. And, that championship belt is coming back home, where it belongs, around the waist of Adam Cole, bay bay."
CM Punk: "Adam Cole, you talk a big game. But, when it came time to put up or shut up, you joined the long list of names who just couldn't get it done against CM Punk. I'm the best in the world! And, I proved it once again when I took this championship away from you! I instilled class, dignity, and rarified air to this championship, which had our stink on it for so long. You see, this 'Power Trip' you see before you was formed for the sole purpose of ascending CM Punk to his rightful throne. Do you think I'm going to roll over and hand it back?! Not a chance! This Sunday, it's 'Lights Out!' That means no rules. I am going to beat you from one end of Detroit to another. That piece of garbage town is going to be even more damaged when I get done with you! There can be but one champion. I'll walk in that way. And, you can believe I'm walking out with this title belt around my waist! Adam Cole, your little dream of becoming a legend will end in a nightmare on Sunday!"
Steve Austin: "And, that's the bottom line..."
Regal: "Strong words from both competitors ahead of what promises to be a war this Sunday."
Hayes: "The whole SuperBrawl card is phenomenal. But, I can't wait for this match!"
Regal: "We'll all be watching! Fans, let's go to the ring for our television main event!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Kevin Steen with Lisa Varon vs. The Rock with Eve Torres
This was a slobberknocker, for sure. The Rock dominated the early going before the champion found his footing and took over the last portions of the match. The Rock mounted a comeback and had the match won after a "Rock Bottom." He readied for the "People's Elbow." When he went to bound off the ropes, Lisa Varon blatantly grabbed his foot and tripped him in plain view of the referee, who called for the disqualification.
Winner = The Rock by disqualification in 18:02 (Steen retains)
The Rock stalked after Varon outside as Steen recovered. Claudio Castagnoli and Idol Stevens hit ringside for the double-team on The Rock. Ricochet hit the ring to help somewhat even the odds. Things got much more interesting when "The Beast" Brock Lesnar hit ringside to a huge response. "The Power Trip" then hit the ring and began to pounce on members of "The Richards Collective" until Adam Cole came out. A massive brawl continued between all participants.
Regal: "Fans, this is what we can expect from SuperBrawl! Please contact your local cable or satellite provider to order what could be the card of the year! Fans, we're running out of time. As always, please join us again next Tuesday right here on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
