William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is the hall of fame color commentator, Michael Hayes. Michael, everyone is still reeling from the shocking turn of CM Punk and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin last week. No one knows why they did it and, so far, no one in that camp is talking."
Michael Hayes: "It's a head scratcher for sure. CM Punk was brought in to be a part of 'The Richards Collective' and to help take out the McMahon family. He was in the catbird position and now has walked away from it."
Regal: "It remains a mystery. However, we have an explosive episode besides today. Recently, longtime friends and partners Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas have had their issues. We've seen them blow up on the road in our live event tour. Tonight, the war will end for one of them in a 'Loser Leaves Town' match. Also, 'Killer Elite Squad' will challenge for the Tag Team Championship against 'The Revival.' In our main event, Kevin Steen will challenge Ricochet for the Television Championship. It's going to be a wild night of action!"
Just then, "Cult of Personality" blared to bring out CM Punk, AJ Lee, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to a mixed reaction, mostly of boos.
CM Punk: "Ah yes! Boo all you want, sheep! I'm still standing here as your NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion, with my beautiful wife and my new mentor, the most influential wrestler of the last twenty years, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin! Together, we have all the power in this organization. We will not be stopped. In fact, you people may now refer to us as 'The Power Trip.' I'm the best in the world, and I have proven it time and time again! With 'Stone Cold' watching my back and with AJ strategizing, I'll keep this title for as long as I see fit. You've only begun to see the evolution of CM Punk. I'm about to enter the annals of the immortals!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out CEO Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Obviously, I have an issue with this whole 'thing' I'm looking at right now. First of all, Steve Austin, you dropped me with a 'Stone Cold' Stunner last week. My friend, that's going to cost you! In fact, it's going to cost you five thousand dollars! Second of all, CM Punk and AJ Lee. I brought both of you in to become centerpieces in this company. You were signed to be marquee players. That's exactly what I did. I afforded you many opportunities to shine. This is how you repay me?! By stabbing me in the back?! By turning on Adam Cole and stealing the Heavyweight Championship from him?! I demand some answers right now!"
CM Punk: "You want answers, Jordan Richards?! Here's your answers! Yes, you brought AJ and I in and gave us marquee positions in your little 'Collective.' Well, guess what?! CM Punk was not meant to be caged up like a lion with a bunch of other lions! I'm more of a maverick! I was being held back in that group! This title belt I'm wearing right now should have been around my waist from the get-go! Instead, I was stuck in tag matches, doing your bidding, while you refused to get your hands dirty! Well, no more! I'm in my rightful position and I will, no, we, will take this company to heights you never thought possible!"
Richards: "Really?! Is that so?! We are the number one territory in the NWA, which makes us the number one promotion in the world! It doesn't get any higher than that! For someone who claims to be 'held back,' you sure have no problem cashing those fat checks you get! You didn't mind being the one to end the McMahons reign of terror! You didn't mind being prominently featured on television every week, which is something not everyone in this company can say!"
Steve Austin: "Let me interrupt you right here! You wanna talk about being held back?! I'm 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin! You hired me to be a trainer and backstage agent! I should have been out here in front of the cameras! I should have been the Commissioner! I should have been on commentary! Instead, you've got me stuck in the back, not being seen by anyone! Well, those days are over too! Old 'Stone Cold's' gonna be in your face every week from now on!"
Richards: "Well, Steve, just like you had to fight against the authority in the nineties, you'll have to do it in two thousand seventeen! I'm not going to take this lying down, and neither is Adam Cole! He's going to be gunning for that championship. So Punk, you'd better go have a photo shoot done with that beloved belt, because you're not going to have it for long enough to enjoy it! And you, AJ, you may be the one I'm most disappointed in. Austin is a rattlesnake, so he did what rattlesnakes do. Punk is exactly what his name implies. But, I had higher hopes for you. Well, you've made your decision, so you'll have to live with the consequences."
AJ Lee: "Jordan, I..."
Punk: "Hold up, baby! You don't owe him an explanation! We're outta here!"
Richards: "Before you go, I thought you might like to know that your first televised title defense will be here next week. You'll be taking on Adam Cole in a 'No Disqualification' match! I told you, don't get too comfortable with that championship. It won't be yours for long!"
Regal: "My, my! We thought we weren't getting any answers, then several came out at once! Plus, we have a huge main event next week!"
Hayes: "Yeah, this program keeps getting better each week!"
Regal: "Fans, let's go to the ring for this 'Loser Leaves Town' match!"
Match One ~ "Loser Leaves Town" (contract terminated) ~ Shelton Benjamin with Veda Scott vs. Charlie Haas
Haas attempted to reason with Benjamin before the match began, citing their long friendship. Benjamin would have none of it, stating that he carried the team for fifteen years and it was his time to return to his former glory, rechristening himself 'The Gold Standard.' The match went on as planned. Benjamin took the offensive, as it was clear that Haas was distraught at the entire scenario. Scott licked her chops from ringside. Finally, Haas did begin to assert himself and turned the tide of battle. He looked to have the final advantage, but Scott's timely distraction allowed Benjamin to hit a leaping "Enziguiri," followed by his "Springboard Shooting Star Press" for the win.
Winner = Shelton Benjamin by pinfall in 18:48
Benjamin and Scott celebrated while waving goodbye to Haas, whom the fans gave a standing ovation and began a "Thank you, Charlie!" chant for. Haas walked dejectedly to the back.
Regal: "What an unfortunate turn of events for Charlie Haas, who has just seen his contract terminated! Shelton Benjamin has taken a dark path recently. Fans, we'll be back in just a moment after this commercial break."
Regal: "We're back! It's time to go back to the ring for the Tag Team Championship match!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Revival"--Dahs Wilder & Scott Dawson vs. "Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt with Taylor Gallagher
After "KES" made their entrance, the tron displayed a conversation between Dash and Dawson from earlier in the day. The final sequence before they walked off screen revealed something sinister:
It would seem that an offer to join "The Bullet Club" has been presented. The Champions made their entrance without any indication that they had joined the group. The match began with "KES" going on the offensive very early, which is their calling card. They are smash mouth competitors indeed. "The Revival" did manage to take control of the match after a miscue from Smith. "KES" came roaring back after a tag to Hoyt. They looked poised to capture the titles until Brock Lesnar, Ricochet, and The Rock stormed the ring and clean house. The referee immediately called for the bell.
Winners = "Killer Elite Squad" by disqualification in 15:12 ("The Revival" retains)
"The Dudleyz" ran to the ring for the save, but were picked off. Lesnar then dropped Smith and Hoyt with "F-5's." Ricochet hit a "630 Senton Splash" on Smith, while The Rock landed a "People's Elbow" on Hoyt. The crowd went wild as "The Revival" escaped, clutching their championship belts.
Regal: "It looks like 'The Richards Collective' wanted some more retribution from 'The Reckoning.'"
Hayes: "Yeah! They cost 'Killer Elite Squad' the Tag Titles, and I'm pretty sure they did it on purpose!"
Regal: "One would have to assume so! Nevertheless, 'The Richards Collective' has stirred the pot once more! Fans, we'll be back in just a moment!"
Regal: "We're back! Before we go to our main event, Joanna Rose has 'The Reckoning' backstage for some comments."
Joanna Rose: "I'm here with 'The Reckoning.' Gentlemen, we just saw..."
Bully Ray: "What you just saw was Jordan Richards' little henchman cost 'KES' the Tag Team Titles! They stole them from us!"
Davey Boy Smith, Jr.: "We're gonna bust some heads! 'Richards Collective,' you're dead!"
Hoyt: "We're gonna do what we do best--KILL!"
D-Von: "Testify!"
Joanna Rose: "There you have it. 'The Reckoning' is understandably upset at what transpired moments ago. Back to you, William."
Regal: "'The Reckoning' is obviously ticked off. If they want a fight, I'm sure that 'The Richards Collective' will oblige. I'm told that 'SoCal' Val is also backstage with 'The Revival.' Valerie, take it away."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm standing by with the Tag Team Champions, 'The Revival.' Gentlemen, you survived your title defense after interference from 'The Richards Collective.' What was very interesting to me was the footage we saw from earlier today, where Dash Wilder was holding a 'Bullet Club' t-shirt. Can you confirm whether or not you two have joined the group?"
Dash Wilder: "We cannot confirm or deny. All we will say at this time is that a very interesting offer has been presented to us."
Scott Dawson: "Val, you are on a 'need to know' basis, and, right now, you don't need to know."
Wyndham: "Fair enough. Now, what..."
Wilder: "We won't be taking any more questions at this time."
Wyndham: "Well, William, it seems we will not be getting an answer just yet."
Regal: "That figures with 'The Bullet Club.' Fans, it's time for our main event. Let's go back to the ring!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Ricochet with Maryse Ouellet vs. Kevin Steen with Black Widow
This was a brutal battle. Ricochet used his speed and athleticism to keep the match fast-paced. Steen used every opportunity to brawl in an attempt to weaken Ricochet and slow him down. This was a back-and-forth fight that went nearly thirty minutes. The women got involved with one another as well. Black Widow hit the "Widow's Peak" on Maryse. This distracted both the referee and Ricochet, who was on the way to victory at that point. During the commotion, "The Dudleyz" came to ringside and hit Ricochet with "3-D." Steen was stunned, but took the opportunity by nailing a "Package Piledriver" on Ricochet for the win.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Kevin Steen by pinfall in 29:33
Regal: "'The Reckoning' didn't wait long to strike back! They just made sure Ricochet did not walk out with the Television Championship!"
Hayes: "They might as well held him up at gunpoint, because they jacked him good!"
Steen and Widow celebrated to the back, while Ricochet and Maryse recovered in the ring. Jordan Richards joined them, all the while shouting to someone on his cell phone, "Get them now!"
Regal: "It seems there is something going on in the back. We've dispatched a cameraman to the scene!"
The scene shifted to the backstage area, where Brock Lesnar and The Rock were brawling with "The Dudleyz." Soon, "Killer Elite Squad" joined the fray, followed by Ricochet. The melee spilled out to ringside. Fans were going crazy as the scene turned into a pull-apart after Security and other officials intervened. Ricochet broke free and hopped to the top rope, where he came diving off and crashing into "The Reckoning" and the group holding them back. This looke dmore like a warzone than a pro wrestling program.
Regal: "Fans, this has seriously broken down into an alley fight! Security is trying to regain control of the situation! We're out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal! Ta ta for now!"
