The new Champion makes his way to the ring as the Mayor of Slamtown grabs the mic: He says wrestling is a crazy business. He says if we saw Bound for Glory then we know what he's talking about. When he was a kid that craziness, that unpredictability is one of the things that attracted him to wrestling, & it wasn't necessarily the cool thing to be into when he was a kid, but he liked it and he thought it was cool so he begged his dad to take him to wrestling shows so he could set in the seats where the fans are setting now at the great Western Forum in L.A.
He was into a whole lot of weird stuff back then: break dancing, alot of people thought that was a pretty stupid thing to be in to, parkour wasn't popular when he was a kid, but he's always been that kind of guy if he wants something he goes for it. There's alot of people that told him making a movie and paying for it with his own money was really stupid, making a movie about a bounty hunter was even dumber, now Boone the Bounty Hunter is streaming on Netflix & even when he sees it at the dollar bin at Dollar General he's still proud of it because he made it, he wanted to be on Survivor he thought that was cool too, so he did it. The one thing that every kid that dreams of being a pro wrestler wants is to be World Champion, there's no kid out there who dreams of being a pro wrestler and not be World Champion & through his whole career he's always been close, he's always heard that he had the looks, he looked like a champion but, he has so much potential but, tonight's not your night. He heard that so much that he almost believed it, almost.
But now he's got the title. All the training, the fighting, & the believing that he's done has culminated in the title. He believes the business is what the wrestlers make it, at Impact Wrestling now he's the guy & he's not going to be the kind of Champion that hides behind 2 goons & politics backstage to get out of big matches and tweets passive aggressive things because he secretly knows he doesn't have what it takes. If there's anyone he feels he deserves a shot at the Championship then he's going to give them a shot at the Championship

Fenix congratulates Johnny and says it was an incredible match & that Johnny deserved it, but Fenix has been around the world and won Championships in different companies, but never in Impact Wrestling & he feels it's an incredible opportunity to fight for the belt. Fenix asks Johnny for an opportunity to fight for the Impact World Championship next week. Johnny says it's a pretty convenient time to come out because after he said all that stuff it's not like he's going to say no and just because they're friends Johnny understands it doesn't mean that Fenix isn't going to want to beat the crap out of him to win the title & he's not going to want to beat the crap out of Fenix to keep the title, but after the match if it happens to be Fenix's night, if Johnny can then he'll stand up and shake Fenix's hand because the 2 of them unlike the guy that formerly held the title are professionals. Johnny says he & Fenix are going to tear the place down next week because that's what they do, Fenix responds with Animo & they shake hands
Also just a heads up if you're here in the US starting next week Impact will be airing 2 hours later 10 eastern/9 central from now on
McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Tommy Dreamer about his unexpected appearance at BFG: Dreamer told her to expect the unexpected. He says Moose could go down as one of the greatest athletes to go from the NFL to professional wrestling alongside Wahoo McDaniel, Ernie Ladd & Bill Goldberg. Stepped up like no other athletes, but Moose wants to take sidecuts, he wants to cheat, he wants to do anything that he can for success, he lost at BFG, he & Kross lost, learn from those mistakes, but as Tommy got dumped on his head he got to watch Moose take out Eddie Edwards and as his vision was all foggy & couldn't see to good he saw the pain in Eddie's back, a pain Tommy's lived with his entire life. So Tommy is expecting to come & cane Moose's ass, he's going to beat him, maybe he'll go a little old school, a little hardcore, maybe for the first time in a long time he might pick up a chair and wrap it around Moose's skull to give him that concussed feeling that Tommy used to feel in the 90's because concussions shouldn't happen anymore, but Dreamer's never been politically correct & damn proud of it
