(Ok so wanted to make sure to get all the facts before I posted this)
TNA President Billy Corgan has filed a lawsuit against TNA Impact Wrestling, its parent company Impact Ventures LLC, Dixie Carter, Carter's husband Serg Salias and TNA Chief Financial Officer Dean Broadhead. At this point, there are no details regarding the lawsuit and neither side has offered a comment on it. According to Ryan Satin of prowrestlingsheet.com, all documents are currently under seal and a restraining order was also issued.
Billy Corgan has been attempting to purchase TNA and re-brand the company. Corgan has helped finance several TNA tapings over the past several months and in August took over Dixie Carter's role as president of the company. Despite this, Carter still maintained majority ownership of the company. In addition to Corgan, Aroluxe Productions and The Fight Network also own minority shares in the company.
(So according to the rumors, Dixie and John Gaburick tried to pull a coup stabbing everyone in TNA in the back: basically they tried to cut a deal with Vince, if they get him the TNA tape library then he would hire both Gaburick and Dixie in some capacity, Corgan found out and blocked, even though Dixie is the majority owner, Billy is the president of the company, so he does have some power) and the news doesn't stop there.
In addition to the lawsuit filed by Billy Corgan, there was another lawsuit filed against TNA several weeks ago by Audience of One Productions. Documents from the AO1 lawsuit can be seen below. In addition to this, reporter David Bixenspan discovered a document which shows that Dixie Carter personally owes money to Billy Corgan, and just when you think things can't possibly get any worse.
This little piece of news has also been unearthed:
The State of Tennessee issued a tax lien against TNA Wrestling back on September 8th. TNA reportedly owes a lot of taxes to the state of Tennessee and the state could end up seizing TNA property if the debt is not repaid. If TNA ends up being sold, Dixie Carter would have to either take a lower sale price to pay off the lien or the new owners would have to risk the state going after them for the tax liability. In the document below, the "$0" amount is because some public record search companies misread the Register of Deeds not recording the amount of the lien
It’s well known that TNA owes money to several companies that have invested in the company. Three of those companies are Aroluxe, Anthem (one of the parent companies of The Fight Network) and MCC Acquisitions, which appeared to have funded their last set of television tapings and Bound For Glory 2016.
It’s being said that in total, TNA owes those companies $3.4 million dollars. This figure does not include the money that is owed to Billy Corgan or to Audience of One Productions, LLC
