Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest hour on television, Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess, Madusa Miceli. With me is the pair of commentators hot enough to melt an iceberg, Renee Young and Melissa Santos! Girls, we have seen quite a few changes around here in the last couple of weeks, but none more surprising than the friction that developed between Chelsea Diamond and best friend Kairi Hojo after last week's main event."
Renee Young: "Chelsea did not take that loss well! She shoved Hojo hard a couple of times after the Champion tried to talk to her."
Melissa Santos: "I don't know if it's professional jealously or just competitive fire, but Chelsea nearly broke Kairi's nose slamming that dressing room door into it!"
Miceli: "Laura Cruz sat down with Chelsea earlier today and we'll get her take on what happened. But, first, our GM AJ Lee and Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa are coming out for an announcement concerning the Bantamweight Tag team Championship. Let's go to Jessica Rose, who's standing by in the ring!"
Jessica Rose introduced General Manager AJ Lee and Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa to rousing applause.
AJ Lee: "Yuzuki and I have been talking over the last couple of weeks about the fallout from 'The Bullet Club' disbanding in Femme Fatales and what, if any, collateral damage that might cause. It seems that all the girls have paired off with one or more of their friends to form smaller alliances. That does not present any problem, as this company is based around quite a few factions. The problem we have found is with the Bantamweight Tag Team Champions, Jessie McKay and Mandy Leon. I'd like both of them to come out here at this time."
McKay entered with her "Lass Kickers" partner Becky Lynch. Leon arrived with "Dollhouse" teammate Santana Garrett.
Lee: "Girls, we have a bit of a conundrum. You are the reigning Bantamweight Tag Team Champions, but you have landed on different sides of the tracks by picking other partners to team with. I have a couple of questions to ask you both. First, are you willing to team with each other to defend the championship?"
Mandy Leon: "I never liked Jessie McKay. I tolerated her because we both were in 'The Bullet Club.' She's not worth my time. I carried that team anyway. Everyone knows it!"
Jessie McKay: "Yeah, right! Mandy Leon, you're nothing but a spoiled little prima donna who spends all of her time primping that ugly face in the mirror! You can't wrestle your way out of a wet paper sack!"
Both teams nearly came to blows before AJ Lee stepped in.
Lee: "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold up just a minute! We're not done here! You two clearly aren't going to coexist to remain a team. So, it looks like we're going to have to strip you of the championship!"
Leon: "No way! I'm not giving up my title! Let me and Santana defend them! We've been together longer than they have anyway!"
McKay: "Why should you get the belts! I'm the better woman! Becky and I are more of a championship team than you two harlots will ever be!"
Yuzuki Aikawa: "I have a better solution than vacating the championship or trying to decide which of these ladies deserves the titles. There is a young, hungry team back there right now who I am very familiar with from my time in Wonder World of Stardom. They are itching to have a championship opportunity. AJ, I propose this. Let this young team have a title shot right her tonight. If Mandy and Jessie win, we'll let them have a match against each other and the winner gets both belts and may pick a partner to defend them with. If they lose, the argument is over."
Lee: "You know what? I like that! Yuzuki, are those girls ready to go?"
Aikawa: "Absolutely!"
Lee: "All right then! We're going to have that match right now! Bring out the challengers!"
This duo came to the ring
to a big ovation, as they have become fan favorites due to their athleticism and fighting spirit. Leon, McKay, and company protested, but the match was on.
Match One ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Bantamweight Tag Team Championship ~ "Jessie McKay and "Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon with Becky Lynch & Santana Garrett vs. Natsumi Maki & Saori Anoue
Though McKay and Leon barely co-existed inside the ring, their counterparts on the outside of the ring argued like children the entire match, which provided plenty of distraction for the champions. As if they needed anything working against them, McKay and Leon were kept off balance by their opponents' quickness and overall prowess. Ultimately, the infighting proved to be costly. Lynch and Garrett's arguing caused McKay and Leon to become distracted to the point that Mandy left the match to break things up on the floor. Jessie was berating her for walking away from her corner. Maki, unbeknownst to anyone, scaled the top rope. She unleashed a "Missile Dropkick" into McKay's back that sent her bounding into the ropes chest first. McKay bounced hard backwards and tripped over Anoue, who had been prone on the mat. Anoue executed a "Schoolgirl Roll" out of sheer instinct.
Winners and NEW NWA: Femme Fatales Bantamweight Tag team Champions = Natsumi Maki & Saori Anoue by pinfall in 8:29
The crowd went ballistic as McKay, Leon, Lynch, and Garrett looked dumbfounded at each other. They all began to argue even more fervently, as the new champions celebrated with the crowd.
Miceli: "What a turn of events that was! We have new champions, just like that!"
Young: "Those youngsters really dug in and took advantage of their opportunity!"
Santos: "I guess the argument about who's going to be keeping the titles is irrelevant right now!"
Miceli: "Fans, we'll be back after this commercial break! Stay with us!"
Miceli: "We're back! Let's take a look at the interview conducted by Laura Cruz with Chelsea Diamond from earlier today."
The scene switched to a pre-taped interview between "Locker Room Lovely" Laura Cruz and Chelsea Diamond.
Laura Cruz: "Hello! I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz. I'm her with one half of 'Candy Crush,' Chelsea Diamond. Chelsea, you were in the main event of last week's episode of Femme Fatales, facing Women's Champion Kairi Hojo for the title. You came within an eyelash of capturing the gold. After the match, you spurned Kairi's attempts to congratulate and console you, going so far as to shove her twice and slam your dressing room door in her face. Would you like to take this opportunity to explain your actions?"
Chelsea Diamond: "Yes, actually. What you saw was me reacting in the heat of the moment after a huge battle, the most important match of my life. Listen, Kairi won, fair and square. As my best friend, I was happy for her. But, as my opponent with the title on the line, I wanted to beat her. I was frustrated. I've been so close to solo gold here in Femme Fatales a couple of times, but I haven't broken through yet. What everyone saw last week was that frustration coming out."
Cruz: "Have you spoken with Kairi since then?"
Diamond: "Yes. We ironed everything out and we're just fine. In fact, I got Yuzuki Aikawa to sign 'Candy Crush' up for a tag team match on tonight's program."
Cruz: "Really? Well, it seems then that you two have indeed worked out your problems. There was some concern that rumors in the locker room perpetuated your being upset with Kairi."
Diamond: "What rumors are you referring to?"
Cruz: "Well, I simply mean that there have been rumblings over the years that 'Candy Crush' was so successful because of how good Kairi Hojo is and that you were sort of 'along for the ride' or that you are the 'weak link' of the team."
Diamond: "What are you trying to say, Laura?!"
Cruz: "Nothing. Believe me, I'm just reporting what I hear. I am no in no way condoning or endorsing those statements. I just wanted to ask if that sort of talk motivated your actions last week."
Diamond: "It sounds to me like you're trying to insinuate something that is not there. Kairi and I are best friends and we're a team! There is no weak link! We have won championships everywhere we've been together. Last week, I was frustrated because I lost, so my temper flared up. Plain and simple. Stop trying to make up a news story where there isn't one! Kairi and I are fine, and we'll show you just how good we are tonight!"
Cruz: "Thank you for your time, Chelsea."
Miceli: "It sounds like 'Candy Crush' is okay, but Chelsea clearly got bent out of shape when Laura Cruz mentioned all that locker room talk."
Young: "It's kind of hard to blame Chelsea for being defensive. She is a great athlete in her own right. She has to know what people have said in the past. If I were called a weak link, I'd probably be a little upset myself. Now, whether that did or did not play into her actions last week is another story."
Santos: "It's a sore spot with Chelsea. That's for sure, and, as Renee said, understandably so. Wrestlers have an ego about themselves. They almost have to. No one wants their abilities or value called into question. Chelsea says she and Kairi Hojo are on the same page. We'll see here shortly."
Miceli: "In fact, they'll be competing next, after the break!"
Miceli: "We're back from commercial! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Two ~ "Candy Crush"--Kairi Hojo & Chelsea Diamond vs. "Oiran"--Yuna Manase & Remei Asuka with "Mistress" Yinling
Chelsea began the match after ensuring Kairi, "I've got this! Let me start!" Hojo typically starts "Candy Crush's" matches, so this was in contrast to the norm. What became obvious during the contest is that Chelsea was not coming out of the ring. She never once offered a tag to Hojo, even during the brief moments where she was in trouble. Diamond finally took the victory after dropping Manase with a vicious "Piledriver," the same maneuver that nearly ended her career several months ago.
Winners = "Candy Crush" by pinfall in 6:12
Chelsea scaled the ropes and celebrated victory, almost as if she was by herself. She then high-fived Hojo, who looked on in confusion, as she never entered the match.
Miceli: "That was a weird match to watch. Chelsea Diamond began the match and never once tagged Kairi Hojo in. There might be some trouble in paradise."
Young: "It was as if Chelsea was trying to prove something in that match. Maybe she wanted to show Kairi Hojo that she is just as good."
Santos: "Chelsea Diamond, by winning a tag team match singlehandedly, perhaps proved to herself that she is not a weak link at all. Hopefully, that will make her feel better about losing to Kairi last week."
Miceli: "Fans, we have a special challenge match in our main event, as the Shirai sisters will take on 'Best Friends' for the Tag Team Championship. Don't change that channel! We'll be right back!"
Miceli: "We're back! Before we go to the ring for our main event, Chiho Nishimori is standing by with the Champions, 'Best Friends.' Chiho, take it away!"
Chiho Nishimori: "I'm here with 'Best Friends,' the reigning Femme Fatales Tag Team Champions. Josei wa, anata ga Shirai Io to kanojo no imōto, anata no mae no `Shimo Bosu,' Mio ni fukuyō sa remasu sore ga subete de, kono shiai de jibun no kangae o nageru shite imasu ka (Ladies, you will be taking on Io Shirai and her sister, your former 'Under Boss,' Mio. Does that throw off your thinking in this match at all)?"
Tsukasa Fujimoto: "`Buretto Kurabu' wa, koreijō wa arimasen. Mio wa tekidesu. Kanojo to Io wa watashitachi ni chōdo hantai-hadesu. Karera wa, korera no chanpionberuto e no kyōidesu. Watashitachiha, subete no kosuto de korera o iji shimasu ('Bullet Club' is no more. Mio is an enemy. She and Io are just opponents to us. They are threats to these championship belts. We will keep these at all costs)!"
Arisa Nakajima: "`Besuto Furendo' wa Io to Mio kon'ya o yabutte, watashitachiha sekai de mottomo idaina chīmudearu koto o shōmei shimasu ('Best Friends' will beat Io and Mio tonight and prove we are the greatest team in the world)!"
Nishimori: "Dōmo arigatōgozaimashita. Ganbarou (Thank you very much. Good luck)."
Fujimoto: "Watashitachiha, un o hitsuyō to shimasen. Watashitachiha saikōdesu (We do not need luck. We are the best)!"
Nishimori: "'Best Friends' say they are the best in the world and they do not need luck against the Shirai sisters. Madusa, back to you!"
Miceli: "This should be an instant classic. These are two of the greatest women's teams around! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Tag Team Championship ~ "Best Friends"--Tsukasa Fujimoto & Arisa Nakajima vs. Io & Mio Shirai with "The Boss" Manami Toyota
This match exceeded all expectations of how good tag team wrestling can be. This was one of the finest televised matches ever. Both teams were on top of their games. Fujimoto and Nakajima have perfected their tandem offense and were as fluid as ever. Io and Mio, who haven't teamed together in months, looked as if they'd never lost a beat. The unique perspective of the two of them sharing DNA really synched them. They picked up where they left off when they were Tag Team Champions themselves. No team could keep an advantage for very long, due to the masterful counter wrestling abilities of each. All four ladies hit dives to the outside, although Io launched herself from the top rope to the floor with a breathtaking "Moonsault." Ultimately, neither team proved their superiority, as both were counted out after a grueling battle.
Winners = double countout in 24:39 ("Best Friends" retained the championship)
The finish was the only part of the match that was booed. Many fans were cheering for a restart. As the commentators were giving their rave reviews, GM AJ Lee came to the ring.
Lee: "That may have been the best tag team match I have ever seen! These ladies left it all in the ring! It's just a shame that the match ended on a technicality. I think we need to rectify that! Next week, these two teams will face off once again for the Tag Team Championship! This time, there will be no disqualifications and no countouts! May the best team win!"
Miceli: "Round two next week! Fans, you gotta be here for that one!"
Young: "No DQ! No countout! For the Tag Team Championship! This could be one for the ages!"
Santos: "This is going to be epic!"
Miceli: "As if you didn't have a reason to tune in next week, it just became a moral obligation to watch another match-up between the Shirai sisters and 'Best Friends' for the Femme Fatales Tag Titles. There will be no disqualification and no countout! They might just fight all the way out to I-85! Join us next Thursday on TNT for Femme Fatales! For Renee Young and Melissa Santos, I'm Madusa Miceli! Keep on rockin' and rollin'!"
As the episode concluded, the Shirais and 'Best Friends' were talking trash to each other as the Security team held them apart.
