William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. By my side is my co-host, the hall of famer Michael Hayes! Michael, last week's episode ended ugly. There is no other way to describe it."
Michael Hayes: "You'd better believe it, Billy boy! It was nasty, the beat down that 'The Bullet Club' laid to NWA: Show Time. We're less than a week out from 'Armageddon,' and it doesn't look good for us from where I'm sitting."
Regal: "The momentum is squarely on the side of Vince McMahon and company, and their takeover bid looks as strong as ever. Our only hope is that the NWA as an entity bands together to stop them. There is no other way. We'll find out this Sunday on pay-per-view."
Just then, "Cult of Personality" hit to bring out CM Punk and AJ Lee to a huge ovation.
CM Punk: "I'm not going to sugar coat it. Last week, we were embarrassed, beaten down, and left for dead. Things looked bleak. I'll admit it. We all were feeling a little hopeless after that. I've been a part of some fearsome wars in my day, but I've never been manhandled like that. Bravo, 'Bullet Club.' You guys won that battle. But, the war is not over. In fact, we're going to end this thing one way or another on September 25. I'm out here to rally our troops. I have sat under the tyranny of Vince McMahon before. I know all too well what he's capable of. If you're not one of his 'boys,' you will get buried. I was his World Champion for over one year and I main evented five out of the seventeen pay-per-views I was involved in during that reign. Vince didn't like me. He didn't like the fact that I have a big mouth and very strong opinions. he didn't like the fact that I called him out when he made bad decisions. He didn't like the fact that I was not 'corporate.' He wouldn't give me time off to heal injuries. He made me work hurt with no breaks whatsoever. 300 days a year on the road with twenty days off, and those were spent traveling. He did everything he could to run me off because he could not find anyone to beat me. I've been there before and I am not going back. I don't care what we have to do on at 'Fall Brawl to End it All.' We have to win this match! The sport of professional wrestling has to be rid of the McMahon family once and for all! Vince McMahon is a monopolizing, manipulative, cancer, and he must be cut out of the heart of this sport forever! Now, I know the rest of 'The Richards Collective' is with me. In fact, let's get them out here right now!"
Ricochet's music brought him out to a big ovation. John Cena and Randy Orton came out together to a combination of Cena's and Orton's music. The two have been absent recently as they have toured the Orient and other parts of the world. "If ya smelllllll..." brought The Rock out to another big reaction. Brock Lesnar's music played to bring out the NWA World Heavyweight Champion to a deafening roar.
Punk: "Well, it looks like the gang is all here. But, we're still a few men short of competing with 'The Bullet Club' in 'Armageddon.' I need to know who's with us!"
Mikael Judas and Jason Justice came out to big cheers.
Jason Justice: "I'll be your Huckleberry! tick, tick, tick..."
Mikael Judas: "It's time 'The Bullet Club' pays for their many sins."
Punk: "That looks really good! But, we still need one more. I want a wildcard! I want someone who is crazy enough to get in the trenches and fight to the death!"
Dean Ambrose's music hit to bring out the "Lunatic Fringe." The crowd was ballistic.
Punk: "That's what I'm talking about! We are the 'Show Time Nine!' Boss, we're ready to report for duty!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out CEO Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Well done, gentlemen. Well done. I like your initiative. It looks like the NWA: Show Time has it's contingent! The 'Show Time Nine!' I love it! I've already spoken to the ownership of NWA: HAWK, Wild West, and UCHW. They have their portions of the team set as well. Now, we wait for September 25. Vince, you've been through many wars over the years, and you've come close to being defeated. But, you've always found a way to win in the end. But, my friend, there's a first time for everything. You need to know what it's like to lose for once. So, your first time loss will be the last time we see your face around here. And, oh good Lord, what a celebration there will be. Not since the munchkins sang, 'Ding, dong! The witch is dead!,' has there been a party the likes of which we'll see after 'Fall Brawl to End it All!' Now, Vince, let me get deathly serious for one moment here. I don't make many guarantees in life, but I'm making one right now. Come September 25, when the dust settles and the smoke clears; when the final bell has sounded, you and yours are going to remember, forever, the night you fought the NWA and lost! You bring all the fire of hell with you, pal! Because we're bringing the thunder and lightning from above! After we meet on that fateful day, the pro wrestling universe will be talking about this colossal fight for decades as the night the McMahon empire crumbled!"
Regal: "That was powerful stuff from our owner and CEO!"
Hayes: "That kind of promo makes me want to jump back into the ring!"
Regal: "Indeed! It does ignite a little fire in your belly, doesn't it?!"
Regal: "Well fans, let's take a quick break and we'll be back with our first match of the night!"
Regal: "We're back from commercial. Let's go to the ring where Scarlett Bordeaux is standing by!"
Match One ~ Six-Man Tag Team match ~ "The Freakshow"--"Los Psycho Circus"--Monster Clown, Murder Clown, & Psycho Clown with Karen DeLa Kreep vs. "House of Truth"--"Universal Soldier" Gunner, "Born Winner" Mike Madden, & "Southern Savior" Jon Skyler with Truth Martini and the "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt, Zahra, and Dana Adiva
This was quite a wild six-man affair. Both teams took turns dominating the action at times. The end came with a miscommunication between Gunner and Skyler that cost "HoT" the match.
Winners = "The Freakshow" by pinfall in 8:24
Regal: "Unfortunate timing was the undoing of Martini's troops!"
Hayes: "That'll get you every time!"
After the match, Martini began to berate gunner, who was becoming more and more agitated by the second. After Martini poked him in the chest, he grabbed his manager by the collar and began to scream at him. Gunner was attacked by Madden and Skyler. Jay Lethal and Xavier Woods sprang out of the dressing room to aid in the beat down, it would seem. But, they were stopped in the aisle by chairshots from "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle, who then cleared the ring to a raucous ovation.
Regal: "Kurt Angle just made quick work of the 'House of Truth' on behalf of Gunner!"
Hayes: "Yeah, but what is his connection to Gunner?!"
Regal: "I wonder that myself. Nevertheless, they may have just formed an alliance."
Angle and Gunner shook hands and walked out together.
Regal: "We'll be back with more in just a moment!"
Regal: "We're back and 'SoCal' Val is backstage with Kurt Angle and Gunner. Valerie?"
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with Kurt Angle and Gunner. First of all, Gunner, what are your thoughts about being betrayed by the 'House of Truth' like that?"
Gunner: "Those guys have no guts! This has been brewing for a while. Joining Truth Martini was my worst mistake! He is no leader! He's a money-grubbing punk who only wants to protect his interests! Those guys will regret turning on me! I'll make them all pay! But, I do have to say thank you to this man right here for saving my backside out there!"
Wyndham: "That brings me to my next question. Kurt, what made you go out and save Gunner?"
Kurt Angle: "Two things, really. Number one, it was the right thing to do. That was going to be a five-on-one attack. no man deserves that! Number two, Gunner is a real-life American hero! He served his country in Iraq. He went into battle to protect our freedoms. he deserves to be honored, not shamed! I owe this man a personal debt of gratitude and I felt like that was a small way to pay him back."
Wyndham: "So, are we seeing a partnership forming?"
Angle: "I'd go to battle with him any day."
Gunner: "This man is a legend! It would be a privilege, as far as I am concerned."
Wyndham: "There you have it. Back to you, William!"
Regal: "It looks like Gunner and Angle are now on the same page, and that could be bad news for Truth Martini and his henchmen."
Hayes: "You got it!"
Regal: "Let's go back to the ring for a Tag Team Title match!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team"--Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas with Veda Scott vs. "Los Ingobernables de Japon"--Tetsuya Naito & Seiya Sanada
This was a technical master class. All four men are well versed in the sweet science and it was evident as they showcased their talents. In the end, has and Benjamin retained after a "Springboard Shooting Star Press" by Benjamin on Naito for the pin.
Winners and STILL NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team" by pinfall in 13:41
Regal: "Phenomenal match-up!"
Hayes: "Yep! The champs still have it and they keep right on rolling with another victory!"
After the match, BUSHI and EVIL jumped the champions. Shortly thereafter, "The Kingdom" ran in for a big beat down. They were joined by "Aces High." Security finally separated all the teams involved in the melee. Jordan Richards came to the ring.
Richards: "Well, well, well. What do we have here? It looks like there are quite a few teams chomping at the bit to get a piece of the Tag Team Champions? Well, NWA: Show Time does have a spot open for a match on 'Fall Brawl to End it All.' Why don't we do this. Every available team in the company will be allowed to compete for the titles that night in a 'Scramble' match! That means it's a thirty-minute time limit. it does matter who beats whom and how many times they do it! Whichever team gets the last fall before the time limit is up walks out the champions! I expect to see paperwork signed and on my desk at corporate headquarters for every team who wants to be a part of the match no later than this Thursday's broadcast of Femme Fatales on TNT!"
Every team at ringside looked stunned, especially the Champions. Veda Scott was flabbergasted.
Regal: "Wow! We've never seen that before! A tag team 'Scramble' match! There could be any number of teams petitioning to get into this bout!"
Hayes: "This could be huge! And, the Champions are at a distinct disadvantage!"
Regal: "Certainly so! Fans, we're going to take another break! We'll be back with our main event next!"
Regal: "We're back and it's time for a grudge match!"
Match Three ~ "The Varsity Boys"--John Cena & "The Viper" Randy Orton with Eve Torres vs. "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville & Idol Stevens with Commissioner Scott Hall and Yellow Barbie
This was Cena and Orton's first televised match in quite some time, and they did not disappoint. They dominated the action. The end came when "The Bullet CLub" swarmed the ring after an "RKO."
Winners = "The Varsity Boys" by disqualification in 14:16
After the match, "The Bullet Club" attempted a beating on Cena and Orton, but that was thwarted by the rest of the "Show Time Nine."
Regal: "This one has broken down in a hurry!"
Hayes: "That tends to happen a lot around here!"
Regal: "It's a 'pier-six brawl,' as the dean Gordon Solie would say!"
Hayes: "You better believe it!"
Regal: "We're out of time. Please join us on pay-per-view this Sunday for 'Fall Brawl to End it All,' and again next Tuesday for more of the Show Time Power Hour on TBS! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
As the episode concluded, a video package aired that chronicled the struggle between "The Bullet Club" and the NWA, leading up to the big event this Sunday.
