William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal! Alongside me is hall of famer Michael Hayes! Michael, it seems this war is finally turning!"
Michael Hayes: "You got that right, Jack! Jordan Richards flipped the script last week and Vince McMahon is running scared!"
Regal: "It sure seems so! Fans, we have two huge 'Gauntlet' matches for championships this week. The same rules apply as they did last week! That means that the champions will start both 'Gauntlets' and that Summer Rae can only spectate, as she is no longer authorized to referee matches under the Show Time umbrella! Without further adieu, let's get these title matches underway!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Gauntlet" match ~ "Guerillas of Destiny"--Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa with Yellow Barbie vs. "Aces High"--Bully Ray & D-Von with Zahra vs. "Sons of Steel"--Boomer Payne & Brice Anthony vs. "Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt with Kasey Ray vs. "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas & "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice vs. "Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team"--Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas with Veda Scott
The most decorated tag team in modern history staked their claim to the championships with an impressive showing against "GoD." However, it was not to be, as their valet Zahra inexplicably cost them the fall. Her interference snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. Now, it did not appear that Zahra has joined "The Bullet Club," but she certainly turned on "Aces High."
"Sons of Steel" were out next and looked to become NWA: Show Time's first three-time Tag Team Champions. They dominated the fall, but had a pinfall stolen from them. Loa then got a cheap pin on Payne after holding his tights.
"KES" stormed the ring and looked awfully impressive, as they sought to re-establish themselves and the newest incarnation of "The Kingdom." After Hoyt lost his cool and accidentally shoved the referee down, he and Smith were disqualified.
Judas and Justice were solely looking for revenge against the team that stole the titles from them in the first place. Loa and Tonga were exhausted, but kept fighting for their championship. Yellow Barbie caused a distraction to Justice, who gave chase and was counted out of the match as Judas fought off both members of "GoD."
"WGTT" came out last. The champions were battle weary and fell victim to Haas and Benjamin's patented tag team offense. The referee was caught in the middle of an exchange and knocked hard to the canvas. As he recovered, Benjamin hit his vaunted "Springboard Shooting Star Press" on Tonga and had him covered for what seemed like an eternity. Loa smacked Benjamin on the back of the head with a steel chair and placed his brother on top for the cover. He roused the referee, who made a very slow and groggy count. Benjamin miraculously got his shoulder up at 2.9. The referee was still trying to shake off the cobwebs when Judas and Justice returned to ringside with Yellow Barbie in their custody. They taunted "GoD" with her as she screamed to the tops of her lungs. "GoD" begged Judas and Justice not to hurt her. With all their focus on the outside of the ring, they failed to see the opponents setting themselves up inside the ring. A double "Superkick" took both men down. Benjamin hit another "Springboard Shooting Star Press" for the pin.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team" by pinfall in a total match time of 23:14
Judas and Justice released Yellow Barbie and grabbed the championship belts, bestowing them upon the new champions as the crowd roared.
Regal: "Benjamin and Haas have added another title to their resumes, their first reign with the NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship!"
Hayes: "You got it, daddy! 'Shelty B' and Charlie have climbed the mountain! And, that's one less title 'The Bullet Club' controls!"
Regal: "Fans, we have to take a commercial break. The Heavyweight Championship is on the line when we return!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back from the break, but 'The Bullet Club' has taken the ring hostage!"
The entire group, including the McMahon family and Commissioner Scott Hall, had filled the ring.
Vince McMahon: "That was a travesty! It was a miscarriage of justice! It was the worst thing I've seen in all my years! The Tag Team Championship was stolen from us! Jordan Richards, you have stooped to unprecedented levels to try and stack the deck against us!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out Jordan Richards with "The Richards Collective" en tow, including new members Ricochet and Carmella.
Jordan Richards: "Did I just hear Vince McMahon say that I have stacked the deck against him?! What a crock! Talk about revisionist history! Vince, you have done nothing but stack the deck in your favor from day one! In the eighties, you raided every NWA territory in America and signed away it's top talent. You nearly killed this great alliance! Then, you monopolized the sport for years after that, so no other company could survive! When you finally got some comeuppance, you wove a tapestry of lies and deceit to try and take the NWA from us once again! In this company, you went behind the scenes and stole my Commissioner, who has quite a bit of contracted authority, by the way! That same Commissioner took a turncoat referee, signed her to an ironclad contract, then put it in writing that she had the power to officiate any match involving members of 'The Bullet Club,' even going so far as to mandate that she be the senior official in those matches! You effectively stole every single one of my championships with this ploy! And, you expect the world to believe that I am stacking the deck against you?! Yeah, right! No, what I did was even the odds. If your guys really are the greatest wrestlers in the world, then they should have no problem beating anyone on my roster! I'm making them earn those titles for once!"
McMahon: "I knew you'd find some way to spin this so you look like the good guy!"
Richards: "So, I'm spinning this now, am I?! Well, here's the deal. Vince, this is how it's going to be, whether you like it or not! It's all in the interest of fairness. That was your favorite phrase years ago, wasn't, Vinnie?! Now, you and your crew had better get to stepping, before I strip Kevin Steen of the Heavyweight Championship, because his match starts right now!"
Regal: "Now, that is how it's done!"
Hayes: "It's been a long time since someone put Vince McMahon in his place like that! I love it!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ Kevin Steen with Yellow Barbie vs. "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle vs. Katsuyori Shibata with Lana vs. Jay Lethal with Truth Martini and the "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt & Barbi Hayden vs. Sinn Bodhi with Karen DeLa Kreep vs. CM Punk with AJ Lee
Angle came in hot and took Steen to the limit, even locking in his signature "Ankle Lock." Steen fought it off and eventually nailed the "Package Piledriver."
Shibata and Steen engaged in a war of attrition as they pounded each other with stiff kicks and chops. Shibata looked fantastic in a rare singles match. He might be the most impressive member of "Axis of Evil." Steen won after ducking the "Penalty Kick" and grabbing a "Schoolboy Roll" on Shibata. Steen grabbed the ropes at two so that Katsuyori could not kick out.
Lethal came out next. these two revived their short-lived Ring of Honor feud in the longest leg of the "Gauntlet." Jay hit the "Lethal Injection," but could not cover immediately, due to both men's exhaustion. When he finally did throw an arm over Steen's chest, the referee made it to 2.75 before Steen rolled his right shoulder ever-so-slightly off the mat. Lethal was in disbelief. Steen was able to hit the "Package Piledriver" for the pin after Jay went for another "Lethal Injection" that was turned into a "German Suplex."
Sinn Bodhi came out in all his eccentric splendor. He had an entourage with him that included three new females that we've never seen. One was beautiful, but macabre at the same time. She came out with a wine glass in hand and began to chomp on it, swallowing whole pieces of glass in the process. One looked to be nearly seven feet tall, while the third was at least six feet in height. Both were massive and jumped straight into the ring and began to pound on the battle-worn champion. The referee immediately called for the bell, as Bodhi and DeLa Kreep laughed maniacally.
CM Punk's music hit and the crowd leapt to its feet. But, the challenger did not appear. His music was re-started. Finally, after thirty or so more seconds, Punk staggered out with wife AJ Lee basically holding him up. He was bleeding profusely from the forehead. AJ was attempting to get him some medical attention from ringside trainers, while Steen screamed for him to get into the ring. Punk kept waiving off the trainer and was adamant that he was going to wrestle. He even shrugged off AJ on his way into the ring. Steen stomped him in the head and immediately hit a "Package Piledriver." For what may have been the first time ever, someone kicked out of Steen's peerless finisher. The crowd went ballistic as Punk somehow willed his shoulder up at the last moment. Steen hit two more "Package Piledrivers" in rapid succession, which did get him the pinfall.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion = Kevin Steen by pinfall in a total match time of 30:23
"The Bullet Club" came out to congratulate Steen. Bad Luck Fale and Cody Hall both had bloody athletic tape on their fists and wrists.
Regal: "We should have known that 'The Bullet Club' was behind that mugging of CM Punk!"
Hayes: "I can't say I'm surprised! That's the way those chumps love to operate!"
"The Richards Collective" came out with baseball bats and stormed the ring, waylaying everyone in sight. The crowd was nearly riotous at this point.
Regal: "It seems that we end every episode with a huge brawl! This week looks to be no different!"
Hayes: "Jordan Richards and his men are taking batting practice on 'The Bullet Club!'"
"The Bullet Club" finally retreated. Jordan Richards grabbed a microphone as he seethed with anger.
Richards: "I told you Armageddon is coming, Vince. It's coming harder and faster than you think! This thing will all be over very shortly!"
Regal: "Fans, those are ominous words from our owner and CEO! With that, we're out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
