Because of the size of the card and the importance of the event, this week's episode of Femme Fatales was filmed at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, NC (the same location as Show Time Power Hour films).
Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest hour on television, Femme Fatales! And, tonight, we have the liberty to go for two full hours if we need it! Folks, I'm your hostess, Madusa Miceli. I'm joined by my co-hostesses, Renee Young and Melissa Santos! We're outside the normal confines of WRAL studios in Raleigh, NC. We're just south at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, where fellow Jordan Richards owned territory NWA: Show Time films the Show Time Power Hour! Renee, you're pretty familiar with our new digs, I'd say!"
Renee Young: "Yes ma'am! I called many a match with William Regal in this very spot! It's good to be back! I almost forgot how spectacular this venue is! And, what a night to be here!"
Melissa Santos: "Everything about this night screams, epic!"
Miceli: "That's right, Melissa! This will be Femme Fatales' single biggest night of pro wrestling to date! We have five huge matches signed, headlined by the 'Loser Leaves Town Steel Cage' match between Women's Champion Io Shirai and Kairi Hojo! We're about to see the in-ring debut of Ariel Toombs, as she battles NWA: HAWK's Alexa Bliss, who will have mentor, Charlotte, in her corner. Let's get to it!"
Match One ~ Alexa Bliss with Charlotte vs. Ariel Toombs
Toombs went right to work with a barrage of rapid-fire strikes that reminded us of her late father, the legendary Roddy Piper. She hit a couple of quick "Armdrags" after that, and Alexa powdered out of the ring, stomping her feet and telling the crowd, who was solidly behind the rookie Toombs, to "Shut up!" Bliss re-entered the ring and snagged a momentary advantage after a thumb to Toombs' eye. Toombs came roaring back, though. The training at the "Show Time Dojo" is second to none, and it showed in Toombs' style. Bliss eventually got the upper hand and sustained it for several minutes. Toombs fought back valiantly, finally getting the advantage nearly seven minutes in. Toombs caught Bliss in her father's signature "Sleeperhold." Alexa was fading. Apparently, Charlotte sensed this, because she jumped up onto the apron and began berating Toombs, whose temper got the best of her. Toombs released the hold and went after Charlotte, nailing her with a forearm smash. Toombs then went back to Bliss, who was still a bit groggy, and grabbed her by the hair. She perched Bliss on the top rope and set up for a "Superplex." As Toombs lifted Bliss high into the air, Charlotte grabbed her left leg, which caused Ariel to drop Bliss on top of herself. Because of the positioning of the maneuver, the referee did not see Charlotte's interference. Toombs kicked out, but this allowed Bliss time to hit her "Glitz Flip," which she followed up with the "Sparkle Splash" for the pin.
Winner = Alexa Bliss by pinfall in 8:17
After the match, Charlotte and Bliss put the boots to Toombs, who was saved after her brother and fellow trainee Colton ran to the ring.
Miceli: "I'll tell you what! Ariel Toombs had that match won. Alexa Bliss was dead to rights until Charlotte interfered!"
Young: "Great first showing for Ariel Toombs! She will be one to watch in Femme Fatales going forward."
Santos: "I was impressed with both ladies. Toombs does not look like a first-match rookie. Bliss is very athletic and smooth in the ring. She could do better if she just went at it on her own and stopped listening to Charlotte!"
Miceli: "If that match was any indication, this is going to be a phenomenal night of action! Stick around. We'll be back with the Bantamweight Championship match after the break!"
Miceli: "Fans, we're back. It's time for Makoto to defend the championship that Misaki Ohata stole from her last week. Let's take it back to the ring!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Bantamweight Championship ~ Makoto vs. Misaki Ohata with Hiroyo Matsumoto
These are not only two of the best Joshi wrestlers in the world, but two of the best bantamweights there are. Makoto came out a house of fire. She was incensed that Ohata had stolen her championship belt (Ohata did return it the Charlotte, NC, office earlier in the week). She hit a "Spinwheel Kick," followed by a "Japanese Armdrag," followed by a "Dragon-Screw Legwhip." Ohata was back on her heels in no time. Makoto chased her around the ring, only to have Matsumoto step in front of her. This distraction allowed Ohata time to recover and blast Makoto. Misaki took over inside the ring. She worked over Makoto's legs in an attempt to ground the larger champion. Ohata had Makoto trapped in "Stretch Muffler" for over three minutes at one point. Makoto's leg was damaged for the remainder of the contest. Ohata put Makoto on the top rope and went for a "Super Hurricanrana," but Makoto held on and Misaki landed hard on the back of her neck. As both ladies tried to recover, Makoto basically pulled herself into a perched position on the top rope with one leg. She landed a "Missile Dropkick," but the force of impact made her writhe in pain and clutch her knee. Her body racked with pain, Makoto dragged herself over for a cover. At two, Ohata grapevine her into a "Crucifix" pinning combination that got a 2.5 count. Makoto then rolled through and hit "Arabesque," but did not get all of it because of her noticeable limping. She could not maintain the jackknife bridge and Ohata kicked out. Ohata grabbed the referee and turned her away from Makoto. This gave Matsumoto time to grab Makoto by her injured leg and pull her to the side of the apron, where she waffled the knee with a steel chair. Ohata then released the referee's attention and reapplied the "Stretch Muffler." Makoto screamed in utter agony, but would not submit. Ohata stood up with the move and wrenched down as hard as she could. Makoto struggled to free herself, the pain clearly etched across her face. Finally, her body went limp and she simply draped toward the mat as Ohata held the move. The referee called for the bell after Makoto became unresponsive.
Winner and NEW NWA: Femme Fatales Bantamweight Champion = Misaki Ohata by referee stoppage in 15:42
Ohata grabbed the championship and celebrated with her partner as Makoto lay limp. When officials began to assist her, she awoke and began pounding the mat as her knee was being stabilized.
Miceli: "Makoto gave an astounding effort tonight in the face of debilitating pain. She never quit. She took all she could until her body failed her spirit. My hat's off to her!"
Young: "Truly valiant effort by Makoto, who might have overcome the injury had it not been for that wicked chairshot to the knee."
Santos: "Absolutely! Makoto showed us all something. The interference of Hiroyo Matsumoto cost her the match, pure and simple."
The "Seven Star Sisters" each climbed a rope and displayed their championships as fans booed the outcome. Makoto was trying to get at her opponent, but officials held her off. Makoto was screamed, "Modotte kimasu! Watashi wa sono beruto o torimodoshimasu yo! Anata wa watashi o teishi suru koto wa dekimasen (I'll be back! I'll get that belt back! You can't stop me)!"
Ohata simply shook the title belt at Makoto as she was carried to the back.
Miceli: "Well, I can tell you that this feud is only just beginning. Makoto will be back for more! Let's go to Amanda Rodriguez, who is with the Ladies Night Ultra Champions. Amanda, take it away!"
Amanda Rodriguez: "I'm here with 'Mala Chicas Culo,' Sarah Stock and Thea Trinidad, the Ladies Night Ultra Champions. You two won the championship at the first ever 'Ladies Night' internet exclusive event. This past Friday, you successfully defended them at the second ever internet event. Now, you'll be defending the trophy again today against 'The Apocalypse,' which has come in and run roughshod over the competition at this point. Can you stop them?"
Sarah Stock: "'The Apocalypse' is impressive. Thea and I have been in the ring with all of them at some point in our careers. So, we know what they're all about. It's true that they have been dominant since coming to Femme Fatales. But, they haven't run across competition on our level yet. We're champions. Thea and I have been teaming for years and we have won world championships before we took this trophy home. We know what it is to gut it out in the trenches. We'll do the same here tonight."
Thea: "They may be some bad girls, but you're looking at the 'Bad A** Chicas.' We ain't going nowhere. Bring it on, 'Apocalypse.' When the dust settles, me and my home girl will still be standing this trophy will still be ours."
Amanda Rodriguez: "Strong words from a strong team. Back to you, Madusa."
Miceli: "I love those girls! They are confident. They tell you what they're gonna do, then they go and do it. I wouldn't bet against them. We'll be back with more in just a moment!"
Miceli: "We're back from commercial. It's time for the Ladies Night Ultra Championship match!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Ladies Night Ultra Championship ~ "Mala Chicas Culo"--"Dark Angel" Sarah Stock & Thea Trinidad vs. "The Apocalypse"--"Your Soul's Tormentor" MsChif & "Death Machine" Jessicka Havok with LuFisto
Before the introductions could be made, all five ladies burst through the entrance fighting. LuFisto was helping her friends dismantle the champions before the match got into the ring. Ayako Hamada ran out and began to take it to LuFisto. All six ladies were warring at ringside as the referee attempted to gain control of the action. The match began after nearly five minutes of riotous extracurricular activity outside the ring. MsChif and Havok were possessed, ripping and clawing at their opponents. Stock and Trinidad tried to speed up the pace and keep it a lucha-centric match. "The Apocalypse" wanted to slow the pace and make this a methodical grind. Stock caught MsChif in "La Reinera" and began to spin here around. LuFisto jumped up onto the apron and started into the ring. She was intercepted by Hamada and they went at it again. Havok dumped Trinidad out of the ring and nailed a "Yakuza Kick" on Stock, who still had MsChif trapped on her shoulders. This allowed MsChif to hit the "Obliteration" on Stock for the win.
Winners and NEW NWA: Femme Fatales Ladies Night Ultra Champions ~ "The Apocalypse" by pinfall in 9:27
Miceli: "That's two new champions crowned on this historic episode so far. Congratulations to 'The Apocalypse,' which keeps right on rollin' down the tracks! We still have two more matches to go and we're creeping over the one hour mark!"
Young: "Every match has been fantastic in its own right. But, they've all had different feel to them as well."
Santos: "It's just a great night to be a part of. I'm a fan who is doing commentary tonight!"
Miceli: "We'll be back with more! Stay tuned!"
Miceli: "Well folks, we're back. This next match is for the Tag Team Championship. But, the important thing to remember is that all members of 'The Bullet Club' are banned from ringside, so it truly will be a two-on-two contest."
Match Four ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Tag Team Championship ~ "The Bullet Club"--"Under Boss" Mio Shirai & "Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon vs. "The Jumonji Sisters"--Sachiko & Chisako
The champions actually made their entrance first, contrary to normal procedure. the music for the Jumonjis played, but neither entered the ringside area. After a few seconds' delay, the music played again. This time, NWA: Wild West wrestler and founding member of "BC," "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson, made his way down the entrance with each sister draped over his shoulders. He dumped them both on the apron and rolled them into the ring. he casually left ringside with a large smile on his face, giving the "too sweet" hand signal to his comrades before exiting the area. The referee had no choice but to ring the bell, signaling the beginning of the bout. Mio rolled Chisako out of the ring, then promptly covered Sachiko for the pin.
Winners and STILL NWA: Femme Fatales Tag Team Champions = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 0:13
Miceli: "Now, that's bullcrap! The match called for no 'Bullet Club' members at ringside, but Karl Anderson clearly is a member of the group! He took out the Jumonjis in the back and basically fed them to Mio and Mandy!"
Officials helped "The Jumonji Sisters" to the back while Mio and Mandy celebrated their "victory."
Young: "What a crock! I guess that, because he doesn't work for our company, he cannot be regulated in terms of the 'Bullet Club' ban from ringside!"
Santos: "That has to be it! It's the only way he could have gotten away with it! That was the plan all along for them. I guarantee it!"
Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa came out and interrupted the 'Bullet Club' celebration. She had a microphone in hand.
Yuzuki Aikawa: "I hope you don't think you will get off that easy, Mio. This match was an outrage before the bell even sounded. I have a team that wants a piece of Mandy Leon. So, stay right where you are, ladies. You will defend those championships right now and 'The Bullet Club' is still banned from ringside, including Karl Anderson, who is being removed from the premises as we speak."
A shot from outside the building shows Karl Anderson being forcibly removed from the PNC Music Pavilion by Charlotte Police Officers. Back at ringside, "Dollhouse" by Melanie Martinez began to play. Brooke Adams and Santana Garrett came through the entrance to loud cheers, which is not normal for them. But, "The Bullet Club" has become universally hated at this point.
Match Five ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Tag Team Championships ~ "The Bullet Club"--"Under Boss" Mio Shirai & "Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon vs. "The Dollhouse"--Brooke Adams & Santana Garrett
Adams and Garrett made a b-line straight for Leon, who ran like a scalded dog. They turned their attention to Shirai, who begged off, then attempted a sneak attack. "The Dollhouse" double-teamed her until Leon came back into the match. from there, it was a veritable free-for-all. All four ladies went it ferociously. It seemed that "The Dollhouse" was more bent on revenge for Leon defecting to "BC" than they were concerned about the Tag Team Championship. In fact, their fury was their undoing. Adams got her hands around Leon's throat and refused to break the choke, prompting the referee to disqualify her after the mandatory five-count.
Winners and STILL NWA: Femme Fatales Tag Team Champions = "The Bullet Club" by disqualification in 6:11
Miceli: "Brooke Adams had the most crazed look in her eyes when she choked out Mandy Leon!"
Young: "That was brutal! Leon's face turned every shade in the rainbow before the bell rang!"
Santos: "Brooke's Texas-sized tempter got the best of her that time!"
"The Dollhouse" continued to hammer on Mio and Mandy, until they were able to retrieve the titles and run off. Adams and Garrett were screaming at them to get back into the ring.
Miceli: "Fans, we've already had five total matches and we still have one more. The cage is being lowered right now. When we return from the break, we'll have a 'Loser Leaves Town' match! Stick around!"
Miceli: "Fans, we're back. I'm going to let the main event speak for itself. It doesn't need any more hype! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Six ~ "Loser Leaves Town" Steel Cage match (non-title) ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Women's Champion Mio Shirai with "The Boss" Manami Toyota vs. Kairi Hojo with Chelsea Diamond
Both women entered the cage to a fever pitch from the crowd. This has been the most intense rivalry in Femme Fatales history. These two have traded the Women's Championship. They've fought in "Ironwoman" matches. They've been up and down the road as members of "Joshi Mafia," then as the most bitter enemies. This match was somewhat of a culmination of the hatred these two have for one another. One of these two women would be forbidden to wrestle for the next three months after this match. That could be devastating the career and aspirations of both women. Hojo and Shirai stared each other down as the introductions were made. The fans were chanting, "This is awesome!" before the match even began. Once the bell rang, it was "Katie, bar the door!" These two went at each other like alley cats fighting over a dead fish. It was like tossing a Christmas ham into a den of hungry lions. They looked, at times, like they were trying to kill one another. Io locked Hojo in an "Arm Trap Crossface" and wrenched back until Kairi's head nearly touched her back. Hojo countered with a modified "Surfboard," in which she pulled Io into a "Rear Chinlock" and stretched her head all the way to the canvas. Io climbed to the top of the cage, but missed on a "Moonsault" attempt when Hojo moved. Kairi then ran up the cage and leapt off the top with her "Flying Elbow Drop." She missed the mark as well and both ladies lay exhausted in center ring. They beat other bloody, using the cage as a weapon. Io grated Hojo's face down the side of the cage, opening a gash. Kairi returned the favor by using Shirai's head as a battering ram, running her headlong into the steel mesh several times. The blood flowed soon after. Toyota threw a steel chair over the top of the cage and into the ring. Hojo intercepted it and nailed Io square in the head with it. Hojo made the cover, but only got a 2.5 count. Hojo was hitting her stride and Io was fading fast, though. The blood loss was weakening her. Kairi dropped Io with a "Tombstone Piledriver" onto the chair, then slung it out of the cage and in the direction of Toyota. Hojo scaled to the top of the cage once more and readied for her elbow again. Just before she dived all of "Joshi Mafia" ran to ringside and pounced onto Chelsea. Hojo dropped onto Io with massive force. She slumped over her for the cover, but the referee was screaming at "Joshi Mafia" to stop the attack on Diamond. Hojo laid on top of Shirai for what seemed like an eternity before realizing what was going on. She dragged herself up and went over to the cage and began screaming at Manami to stop the assault. Toyota laughed and started screaming to the top of her lungs, "Akiramete, watashitachiha teishi sa remasu! Akiramete, watashitachiha teishi sa remasu (Give up and we'll stop)!" Hojo was in desperation as "Joshi Mafia" positioned Diamond on top of the timekeeper's table. Toyota got her into "Piledriver" position. She continued to scream, "Akiramete, watashitachiha teishi sa remasu!" Aja and Awesome Kong each grabbed a leg, setting Diamond up for a "Spike Piledriver" through the table. Finally, Hojo grabbed the referee and yelled, "Watashi wa yameta (I quit)!" The referee had no choice but to ring the bell.
Winner = Io Shirai by submission in 38:29
Kairi slumped down to her knees in despair. "Joshi Mafia" went ahead and completed the "Piledriver," smashing Chelsea through the table. Hojo buried her face in her hands and began sobbing. The cage was opened and she ran out to check on her friend as officials rushed to the scene.
Miceli: "What a crock! That shouldn't even count!"
Young: "Kairi was robbed! She had the match won! She wasn't even beaten!"
Santos: "'Joshi Mafia' stole that one for sure. Now, Kairi's gone for three months and her friend is possibly injured."
The fans littered the area with debris as Diamond was placed on a stretcher and taken out of the arena. The crowd began to chant, "Thank you, Kairi!" as she escorted the stretcher. Hojo was still visibly crying and upset.
Miceli: "Fans, you hate to see the match and the night end this way. We feel terrible for Kairi Hojo and even worse for Chelsea Diamond. Nevertheless, we're out of time. Tune into TNT next Thursday for more Femme Fatales. For Renee Young and Melissa Santos, I'm Madusa Miceli. Good night."
