The episode began with a video package highlighted the events that transpired last week, involving Commissioner Scott Hall and "The Bullet Club," which now holds every NWA: Show Time Championship.
William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. I'm pleased to be joined by my new co-host, hall of famer and originator of 'The Fabulous Freebirds,' Michael 'P.S.' Hayes!"
Michael Hayes: "Aww baby, it's on and crackin' tonight! Mr. Regal, you're on board with the tower of power, too hot to trot, too sweet to be sour. Michael 'P.S.' Hayes. And, the 'P.S.' stands for 'purely sexy!' I'm excited to be here and be in front of the camera again, although giving me a microphone may or not be a good idea, especially a hot one!"
Regal: "Indeed! This is fun already!"
Hayes: "Oh, we gonna make it fun or we're not gonna do it at all!"
Regal: "We're three days removed from a phenomenal Clash of the Champions, where no less than three World Championships changed hands. We also heard the blockbuster announcement on the program that NWA: World of Wrestling will be debuting on April 15. Michael, let's switch gears a bit. Last week, we saw not only 'The Bullet Club' capture the Television and Heavyweight Championships, giving them a full monopoly, but they did it with the assistance of our Commissioner, Scot Hall. What are your thoughts?"
Hayes: "Not only did we lose two titles in one episode, but 'The Bullet Club' has every belt we sanction on lockdown. I can't even begin to think about what Scott Hall did. I was as shocked as anyone watching last week. he turned his back on us, no doubt about it. I guess he really is 'The Bad Guy.' What gets me is that he was a founding father of the 'new World order.' He knows what a poisonous cancer that group was. It shut down a worldwide promotion. How he could go back--willingly--to something like that boggles my mind, William."
Regal: "I agree one hundred percent, Michael. I was in WCW when the 'nWo' invaded. I was there when the ship began to sink. My greatest fear is that Show Time is headed to the same fate if 'The Bullet Club' is not checked and checked right now."
Hayes: "You said it, Jack!"
Regal: "Fans, we have a big episode lined up, so let's go to the ring!"
Just then, "The Bullet Club" them song hit to bring out the entire group, led by Commissioner Scott Hall, who had Black Widow by his side.
Scott Hall: "Hey, yo! We thought we'd come out here and show off all of this hardware we've amassed over the last several weeks." (Crowd boos vehemently)
Hall: "Boo all you want, but we're laughing all the way to the bank. Did you see what happened last week? In the business, that's called a swerve. Jordan Richards got swerved in the biggest way imaginable. He signed all of these guys to contracts hoping to make more money. Now, we're going make sure he loses everything! So, the million-dollar question on everyone's lips is, 'Scottie, why did you go over to the dark side?' Well, this hot mama (Black Widow) made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Power and money--those are the two most beautiful things in the world. But, you people shouldn't be surprised. I founded another rogue group that took over a company a few years back. I don't know why you thought I'd never do it again. This time, I'm older and smarter. But, just so you know, I'm not 'The Bullet Club's' financial backer. I do get paid handsomely by him. You'll find out who he is soon enough. For now, all you need to know is that this place is going to change drastically."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Not if I can help it, Hall! You may have all my title belts, but this is still my company and I still call the shots. Number one, your guys stole both championships last week and some former champions WILL receive rematches this hour! Number two, you work for me as Commissioner! Therefore, if I say jump, you still have to ask, 'How high?"
Hall: "I only answer to one person, the guy doubling my pay!"
Richards: "If that's how you see it, why don't we make it official? I would like nothing more than to relieve you of your duties as Commissioner!"
Hall: "That's cute, boss! You know as well as I do that I have a guarantee in my contract that states I cannot be fired for any reason, so long as this company remains profitable. We both know that Show Time makes plenty of money. I believe I'll stay put."
Richards: "Yes, I'm aware of your guarantee. But, your contract also states that you can be terminated if you are deemed dubious in any of your day-to-day dealings with this company. You'd better be watching what you do from now on, my friend."
Hall: "Touche,' but what have I done that's so dubious? Last week, I booked solid matches, which drew your best ratings to date, and produced compelling TV. That sounds like exactly what you want every week. I don't know what you're so upset about. The Board of Directors for Show Time likes the bottom line, and ours is healthy."
Richards: "That's enough! I'm sick of hearing it! You turned your back on this company after I offered you the shot no one else in the world was willing to! This is how you repay me?! I gave you a chance and you stabbed me in the back! You stabbed the fans in the back! You stabbed your personal friend, Jake Roberts in the back! By the way, I am nullifying your dismissal of Jake last week and keeping him on as Deputy Commissioner! How do you like those apples?!"
Hall: "Whatever, Richards. You're just ticked because I got one over on you. You never saw it coming. No one in this company did."
Richards: "The bottom line is that someone got in your ear. Was it Black Widow? Did she sweet talk you? Did she do some 'favors' for you? Or, was it this mysterious benefactor your group speaks so highly of? I'd kind of like to meet him, so I can spit in his eye. By the way, I hope you enjoyed that little punch you floored me with last week. It's going to cost you $10,000."
Hall: "Ha! That's chump change! It was well worth it! The financial backer is happy to take care of that!"
Richards: "Well, like it or not, I'm still calling the shots. With that being said, your boys will be defending three championships tonight! Claudio will see Mikael Judas for the Mid-Atlantic Championship. Stevens will see Jason Justice for the TV Championship. Fale and Tonga will defend the Tag Team Championship against 'The Varsity Boys!'"
Hall: "We can live with that. But, why don't you and I have a little side wager. How about, if my guys all retain, if your guys take back even one title, I'm done."
Richards: "Yeah, right! There has to be a catch!"
Hall: "I wasn't done yet. In the interest of fairness, we'll even send our guys out by themselves for each match and promise to stay in the back. In other words, we'll prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we can beat your guys one-on-one!"
Richards: "So, every match will be one-on-one with no interference. And, if we win just one of the titles back, you'll step down as Commissioner?"
Hall: "Yep."
Richards: "I don't trust you any farther than I can throw you! But, if this is on the up and up, you've got a deal! Oh, and the Television Championship match starts right now!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Idol Stevens vs. "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice
Justice beat the stuffing out of Stevens and had him running the entire time. Just when Justice was about to take back the gold, Stevens turned around and threw referee Rod Zapata into Justice. After Justice moved Zapata out of his way, he walked into a face full of white powder, thrown at him by Stevens. Referee Zapata immediately called for the bell.
Winner = Jason Justice by disqualification in 17:09
(Stevens retains the championship)
Richards was livid at the fact that Stevens got himself disqualified intentionally. Richards deemed the Mid-Atlantic Championship match to have a "No Disqualification" stipulation.
Regal: "Jordan Richards is hot under the collar, and with good reason!"
Hayes: "Yeah. 'The Bullet Club' took the loss and still ended up with the belt! Jordan plans on fixing that scenario by offering a 'No DQ' stip in the Mid-Atlantic Title match!"
Regal: "We'll see that match after the commercial break! Stay with us!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back. Here comes Claudio Castagnoli out for his title defense. I understand that 'Priest of Punishment' is backstage with 'SoCal' Val. Valerie, take it away!"
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with the challenger for the next match, the former Mid-Atlantic Champion, 'Priest of Punishment' Mikael Judas. Mikael, what are your thoughts just before you go out to the ring?"
Mikael Judas: "I have but one thing on my mind..."
Judas was attacked by several members of "The Bullet Club." They decimated him, with Kevin Steen finally dropping him on the concrete floor with the "Package Piledriver."
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Championship ~ Claudio Castagnoli vs. "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas
In the ring, Castagnoli berated the referee (Mike Posey) to ring the bell to start the match. Judas' entrance music was played twice, with no signs of the challenger. Referee Posey finally began to administer the mandatory ten-count. At seven, Judas emerged through the entry way. He made it to ringside at eight, but stumbled onto the floor. He slid himself into the ring just after the ten-count had been reached.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Champion = Claudio Castagnoli by countout in 0:12
Regal: "That was a dastardly ploy by 'The Bullet Club!' They didn't even allow Judas to make a match of it!"
Hayes: "No, they didn't. But, technically, they also kept up their end of the bargain. They attacked Judas backstage and never made an appearance at ringside."
Once again, Jordan Richards was visibly upset. He paced ringside inconsolably.
Regal: "This episode is turning into a nightmare for our owner and CEO."
Hayes: "I know he wants those titles back. More importantly, he wants Scott Hall out of power. He may not get either of those things tonight, daddy."
Richards grabbed a microphone.
Richards: "I refuse to let this go on any longer! My roster has been robbed twice now. It's not going to happen again! The Tag Team Championship match will be fought under fair conditions if it kills me. 'The Varsity Boys' will have armed Security escort them to the ring. Armed Security will stand guard at every conceivable entrance to ringside. I am assigning two referees to this match. One will be the main official inside the ring, while the other acts as a second pair of eyes outside the ring. If any member of 'The Bullet Club' shows his or her face anywhere near ringside, the match will be stopped immediately and the match and championship will be awarded to Cena and Orton. This will be one fall to a finish!"
Regal: "Wow! Jordan Richard is covering all his bases!"
Hayes: "Let's see if his boys can find a way out of this situation!"
Regal: "We'll find out in just a moment!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back and it's time for the main event of the evening! Scarlett, take it away!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Bullet Club"--Bad Luck Fale & Tama Tonga vs. "The Varsity Boys"--John Cena & "The Viper" Randy Orton with Maria Kanellis
This was an instant classic. Both teams pulled out all the stops. Tandem offense was at a premium. Cena and Orton clearly had a sense of urgency and were on a mission to reclaim the titles they feel are rightfully still theirs. Fale and Tonga defended well, but were still on the receiving end of some monster offense. "BC" finally trapped Cena in their corner and worked him over for several minutes, truly cutting the ring in half. Cena finally got the tag to Orton, after ducking a flying Tonga. Orton came in to a raucous ovation and absolutely cleaned house. He dropped everyone in sight. The action broke down with all four men going at it for the last several minutes of the match. The action was almost uncontrollable at that point. Tonga got dumped on the outside and was incapacitated. Fale fell victim to the "Springboard Stunner" by Cena followed by an "RKO" from Orton for the pinfall.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Varsity Boys" by pinfall in 27:11
The arena came unglued, cheering violently. Jordan Richards paraded around ringside with the Tag Team Championship belts raised above his head before entering the ring and presenting them to the new champions. Cena and Orton, though exhausted, soaked the cheers in. "The Bullet Club" members were beside themselves. Scott Hall screamed at both referees. Richards once again grabbed a microphone.
Richards: "Scott Hall, nothing gives me greater pleasure than to make the following proclamation: YOU'RE FIRED!"
Hall went ballistic at ringside as the fans began to sing, "Na, na, na, na. Na, na, na, na. Hey, hey, hey. Goodbye!" Michael Hayes even joined in the refrain.
Regal: "What began as the ultimate bad day ended quite beautifully for NWA: Show Time!"
Hayes: "That's right, Billy boy! We got one of our titles back and Scott Hall is no longer Commissioner! How sweet it is!"
Regal: "Fans, we'd love to keep celebrating all night long, and I'm sure some of us will, but we're out of time for this broadcast. Please tune into Femme Fatales this Thursday on TNT and back again on TBS next Tuesday for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For the incomparable Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
Hayes: "Ha ha! Ta ta, old chap!"
The episode went off the air with Cena and Orton high-fiving fans.
