Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest hour on television, Show Time Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess, Madusa Miceli! With me are my co-hostesses and partners in crime, Melissa Santos and Noel Harlow! Girls, this is the big one!"
Melissa Santos: "That's right! Tonight, the entire hour plus overrun time will be devoted to the '3-Way, 60-Minute Iron Woman' match for the NWA: Show Time Women's Championship!"
Noel Harlow: "Kairi Hojo will defend against Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani in a winner-takes-all fight to the finish!"
Miceli: "Well, strap in folks! Here we go!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Women's Championship ~ "3-Way, 60-Minute Iron Woman" Match ~ Kairi Hojo vs. Io Shirai vs. Mayu Iwatani
These are arguably the three brightest stars in women's wrestling today. Hojo, who came in as a tag team wrestler in the "Joshi Mafia" stable, has shown that she is one of the great technical wizards in the sport since breaking away from the group. Her "Flying Elbow Drop" is the most picturesque finisher in the business. Io Shirai, a founding member of "Joshi Mafia," is the ace of the stable inside the ring. A two-time Tag Team Champion, she is looking for her first singles gold in NWA: Show Time. Iwatani is the least experienced of the three, but perhaps the most athletically gifted. She is deadly in the ring. When she is "on," she might be the best in the world.
This match was for all the marbles. An "Iron Woman" match, just as its "Iron Man" counterpart, is not a sprint. It's a marathon. It's sixty minutes to accumulate the most falls, period. After all three made their grand entrances and were introduced, the bell rang with the audience at a fever pitch. The action began quickly, with each lady shining in a triple hold-counter hold scenario, much to the crowd's delight. Several near falls took place in the opening minutes, with each grappler taking turns making the save. The first fall was taken by Iwatani, who surprised Hojo with her "Bridging Snap German Suplex" after Kairi butted heads with Io.
Winner of fall one = Mayu Iwatani by pinfall in 15:03
Iwatani = 1
Hojo = 0
Shirai = 0
Kairi came out like a house of fire after that. She was determined not to be denied on that big stage. She quickly dispatched both foes and took a fall on Shirai after the "Flying Elbow Drop" hit both women.
Winner of fall two = Kairi Hojo by pinfall in 21:45
Hojo = 1
Iwatani = 1
Shirai = 0
Shairai finally got on the board after Hojo landed another elbow on Iwatani. Io dumped Kairi to the outside and stole a pin.
Winner of fall three = Io Shirai by pinfall in 31:19
Shirai = 1
Hojo = 1
Iwatani = 1
The last 28 minutes of the match were sheer poetry. Each woman hit finisher after finisher, but could not secure a pin or submission. One of the three was always around to break up the fall. It looked, for quite a while, as if the match might end deadlocked. The final sixty seconds were some of the most controversial the ladies division has ever seen. Hojo controlled the action, but was denied the win after landing yet another picture perfect "Flying Elbow Drop" on Shirai, whom she seemed content to concentrate on. With thirty seconds left in the time limit, Hojo mounted Shirai for what would have been a title saving pin. Iwatsani smartly pounced, breaking up the pin and tossing Hojo over the top rope. However, instead of attempting a pin of her own, she laid down in the middle of the ring and rolled Shirai on top of herself. Referee Carly Rae was dumbfounded, but had to count the pin. Shirai was still lifeless, after being hit with the elbow. She pinned Iwatani to take the lead as the match drew perilously close to its conclusion.
Winner of fall four = Io Shirai by pinfall in 59:47
Shirai = 2
Hojo = 1
Iwatani = 1
The final seconds ticked away as Hojo attempted to get back into the ring, but was kicked back to the floor by Iwatani as Shirai struggled to her feet.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Women's Champion = Io Shirai in a total match time of 60:00
Miceli: "What was Mayu thinking? I don't get it!"
Santos: "Is that repayment for Io helping her get the Bantamweight Championship?!"
Harlow: "We need answers!"
Manami Toyota and the rest of "Joshi Mafia" stormed the ring to congratulate Shirai as Iwatani remained in the ring with an evil smirk on her face. She shook Io's hand, then was embraced by Toyota. Aja and Awesome Kong then raised her hands and it was apparent that she had joined "Joshi Mafia."
Miceli: "I bet they had this plan in place for weeks!"
Santos: "No wonder Io was helping Mayu!"
Harlow: "We thought Iwatani was innocent in all this! Shame on us! We fell for it hook, line, and sinker!"
Miceli: "'Joshi Mafia' has claimed another bright star. How far does their reach extend?! Fans, we have to go. Please tune into TBS this Tuesday for the Show Time Power Hour and right back here on TNT next Thursday as we seek answers on Show Time Femme Fatales! For Melissa Santos and Noel Harlow, I'm Madusa Miceli! Keep on rockin' and rollin'!"
