William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal! Alongside me is Renee Young, my lovely co-host. Renee, the field is set for the NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship tournament. Bully Ray and Shelton Benjamin are the two wildcard entrants. Both won 'Fatal Four-Way' matches last week and are now in."
Renee Young: "That's right, William. But, you and I are extremely excited to talk about what happened after the episode went off the air!"
Regal: "Indeed we are! In fact, the cameras were still rolling after we signed off. Let's show you exactly what went down.
Footage aired of the confrontation between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg that occurred after last week's broadcast. The details of that can be seen on the episode 30 thread.
Regal: "As you can see, Lesnar and Jordan Richards were as surprised as we were to see Bill Goldberg in an NWA: Show Time ring. This leads us to believe that Commissioner Scott Hall and Deputy Commissioner Jake 'The Snake' Roberts were behind that appearance. They did greet Goldberg as he left the ring, after all."
Young: "I'd say it's pretty cut and dry. But, we need to hear it straight from the horse's mouth!"
Regal: "'So Cal' Val is standing by in the ring and will interview our Commissioners. Valerie, have at it!"
Valerie Wyndham: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Commissioner Scott Hall and Deputy Commissioner Jake 'The Snake' Roberts!"
The original "nWo" music hit to bring out both Commissioners to a roaring ovation.
Wyndham: "Mr. Hall, last week, we saw the surprise return to wrestling of Bill Goldberg, who came out to confront NWA World Champion Brock Lesnar after our show went off the air. We also saw you and Mr. Roberts greet and shake his hand as he left ringside. So, did you two sign Bill Goldberg to NWA: Show Time?"
Hall: "Hey, yo! Val, Jordan Richards gave us matchmaking authority as Commissioners. He also gave us the ability to sign new talents to contracts, since he can't be in the office every day. This particular time, it might come back to bite him in the backside."
Wyndham: "So, is that a 'yes?' Is Bill Goldberg signed to a contract?"
Hall: "Jake, my man, should we tell them?"
Roberts: "Ah, go ahead, Scottie!"
Hall: "Yeah. Bill Goldberg signed a short-term contract to work for NWA: Show Time."
The crowd howled with delight.
Wyndham: "Now, when Goldberg appeared, he only uttered one phrase--'You're next!' Does that mean that he has signed to wrestle Brock Lesnar?"
Hall: "Well, that's kind of what hinges the deal in place. He wouldn't sign unless we guaranteed a match with Brock. So, yeah, it's signed. We haven't chosen a date or location yet, but it's signed."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva blared over the PA system, which brought out Jordan Richards, Eve Torres, Stacy Keibler, and 'The Richards Collective.'
Jordan Richards: "Now, Scott, Jake, while it's true that I granted you matchmaking and contract signing authority, you have no right to sign the reigning and defending NWA World Heavyweight Champion in a match of any type. He has obligations to defend his championship against a host of worthy contenders, of which, Bill Goldberg is not one!"
Hall: "Nobody said I booked a World Title match. I know that's up to you and the NWA Board of Governors. What I said was that I signed Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg to wrestle each other. I can do that all day long, because they are both under contract to NWA: Show Time. If you are too afraid to have Lesnar put the belt on the line, that's your prerogative. I do believe Goldberg beat Brock the only other time they ever wrestled each other one-on-one."
Richards: "No one is afraid of Bill Goldberg, least of all Brock Lesnar! Goldberg is a has-been who's not in Brock's league! Everyone knows that victory was a fluke and was aided by the tainted officiating of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin!"
Just then, Bill Goldberg's theme hit and the audience went ballistic. Goldberg appeared through the smoke and pyrotechnics, wild-eyed, and headed intently toward the ring. When he jumped into the ring, Brock Lesnar backed up a few steps.
Bill Goldberg: "I'm a has-been?! Oh, really?! Tell that to the punk I beat back in 2004! Ask him if he thinks I'm a has-been!"
Richards: "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down, Bill! We're not out here to fight tonight. This match, however legal it is or isn't, and I'll be the judge of that, will take place in due time. As I have said, Brock Lesnar is the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He has prior obligations."
Goldberg: "Obligations?! The only obligation he has right now is to eat my fist!"
Richards: "Well, there won't be any of that. It's not going to happen. If you two wrestle one another, it will be on my terms. I own this company and I own everyone's contracts. You wrestle when I say you do. It's not taking place tonight!"
Goldberg: "Hey Brock, do you let this guy do all of the talking for you? Are you his little lapdog? It seems to me that you take your orders from him! I don't think you have the guts to put that title on the line against me! I think you know I'll beat you again and you're a scared little pansy!"
Brock Lesnar: "I'm afraid of no man! 2004 was a fluke and you know it! I can beat you any day of the week!"
Goldberg: "Put your money where your mouth is! You say you're unbeatable, so prove it! Put that belt on the line against me!"
Lesnar: "You want the title match?! You got it!"
Richards: "Not so fast, gentlemen! I told you, this match is not going to happen here tonight! No, if Brock Lesnar is going to defend the NWA World Championship against Bill Goldberg, it's not going to be given away for free on television. This is a marquee match-up and deserves to be on a grand stage. NWA: Show Time is having an iPPV on Saturday, January 30, in Miami, Florida. This will be our first live event in American Airlines Arena, which holds 20,000 for basketball. I think we can put more than that in there for this battle! If we're going to do this, we'll do it then or not at all!"
Goldberg: "If that's how you're gonna play it, fine! I can wait, but I promise you, Brock, I'll be stalking you until then! I told you, boy, you're next!"
Lesnar and Goldberg got nose-to-nose, both talking trash to one another.
Richards: "Brock, you don't work for free. Save it for the PPV. Let's go, guys!"
"The Richards Collective" left the ring. Goldberg never took his eyes off Brock Lesnar.
Wyndham: "Well, there you have it. Brock Lesnar will defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Bill Goldberg on January 30th in Miami, Florida!"
Hall: "We had a feeling they wouldn't take the match today."
Roberts: "Yeah, but it's going to happen very soon. Lesnar-Goldberg II!"
Hall: "Billy boy, you got your wish. Now, you just have to wait a couple of weeks."
Goldberg: "I didn't come here to wait. I came here to fight. Give me an opponent tonight!"
Hall: "All right. We'll find you someone. Hey fans, I guess you get a Goldberg match tonight after all!"
The audience voiced its approval loudly.
Regal: "Wow! What a blockbuster announcement! Bill Goldberg will challenge Brock Lesnar for the World Championship on January 30th, and he'll be in action here tonight!"
Young: "This show just got even more interesting. My question is, who is going to agree to face a ticked-off Bill Goldberg?"
Regal: "I don't know, but, may God have mercy on his soul. Fans, we'll be right back after this commercial break. Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back and it's time to head to the ring!"
Match One ~ Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Satoshi Kojima
This match barely got underway before "Shot 'Em" played, which brought out the newly-signed "Bullet Club." Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, Mephisto, and Yujiro Takahashi laid waste to Taguchi and Kojima.
Winner = no contest in 1:01
Hiroyoshi Tenzan came out to assist his "TenCozy" partner, but was dropped as well. Fale grabbed a microphone.
Bad Luck Fale: "'The Bullet Club' is here! We take no prisoners! We respect no one! We will destroy everyone! NWA: Show Time is about to become 'NWA: Bullet Club!'"
Tama Tonga: "Everyone will be left laying, just like these poor fools! The war is on and NWA: Show Time will not survive it!"
Fale: "We have friends here. They will join us very soon! But, beware! If you're not with us, you're against us! Get on the train or get off the tracks!"
Regal: "Well, we heard that several 'Bullet Club' members had signed with us. I guess we now know who they are. Their agenda remains to be seen."
Young: "Yes, but from the sounds of things, it could mean total destruction."
Regal: "Indeed. Our 'woman on the scene,' Laura Cruz, is standing by with some news."
Laura Cruz: "Hello, everyone! I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, here with all the latest news from NWA: Show Time! The next NWA branded pay-per-view offering with 'SuperBrawl: St. Valentine's Massacre.' It will take place on Sunday, February 13, at Detroit, Michigan's Ford Field. The indoor stadium has a capacity of over 80,000, so it's safe to say that the card will be stacked. I'm sure many NWA World Championships will be at stake, along with other titles and promotion-specific matches. It should be a classic. As always, I'm hearing that NWA: Show Time will have a definite presence at the event. The ladies division is in utter chaos after 'Joshi Mafia' attacked Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa and Deputy Commissioner Fuka Kakimoto. Both were treated and release from a Raleigh, NC, medical facility. The Commissioners plan on making an announcement on this week's episode of Show Time Femme Fatales. You might want to tune in for that one! The buzz surrounding more of 'The Bullet Club' signing with Show Time is palpable. As we've already seen today, they are bent on carnage and have vowed to take over. Word on the street is that they are in the midst of recruiting new members from our existing roster. Time will tell if anyone 'jumps ship.' Well, that's all the time I have for today. I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, and that's the scoop!"
Regal: "Thanks for that insider information, sunshine. Let's get back to the action, as Jason Justice defends the Television Championship! Scarlett, take it away!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice vs. Cody Hall with Truth Martini and the "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt & Barbi Hayden
Hall held his own against the veteran and had the upper hand for several minutes. The tide turned when the referee (Drake Wertz) went down. Hall held Justice so that Martini could waffle him with the "Book of Truth," but Martini nailed Hall instead after a well-timed duck by Justice. A "Psycho Slam" later, and the champion retained the title.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Jason Justice by pinfall in 9:12
Hall was livid after the match and confronted Martini, shoving him down and walking away from him disgusted.
Regal: "Whoa! Trouble in paradise?"
Young: "Maybe Cody is beginning to figure out that his father was right all along."
Regal: "Fans, the brackets for the Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament have been released and we are going to post a graphic to show you the seeding, which is unique for a sixteen-man tournament. Instead of seeding this bracket 1-16, Jordan Richards has decided to create four mini-brackets seeded 1-4. It's quite a novel concept. Here's what it looks like:"

Regal: "So, as you can see, every match will be competitive. Get your tickets now for the two-card tournament in Panama City, Florida! Fans, when we return, Bill Goldberg will be in action for the first time in twelve years!"
Regal: "We're back! It's time to see who is brave enough to take on a fired-up Goldberg!"
Match Three ~ Bill Goldberg vs. Colt Cabana
Colt Cabana came trotting down the aisle, surprisingly jovial to be Bill Goldberg's return match opponent. His smile quickly turned to a grimace of angst once Goldberg's music hit. Goldberg was amped up and animated as he made his way to the ring, looking as impressive as he did in 2004. When the bell rang, Goldberg uncorked a"Spear" that picked Cabana up and drove him into the mat ferociously. The crowd went crazy when Goldberg called for the "Jackhammer." He held Cabana for a full five seconds with one arm, then drilled him into the mat for the three-count.
Winner = Bill Goldberg by pinfall in 0:28
The place went bananas as Goldberg celebrated his triumph. Lesnar appeared at the entrance ramp. Goldberg began calling him into the ring. John Cena and Randy Orton attacked Goldberg from behind. He got the best of them quickly with a double "Spear." Adam Cole tried his luck and was bounced out of the ring after a "Clothesline." Lesnar marched toward the ring. Jordan Richards was attempting to stop him all the while. Brock bounded up onto the apron. Goldberg paced about like a caged lion, imploring Brock into the ring. Finally, Brock relented and dropped back down to the floor, smiling and walking away with his brethren en tow. The crowd booed so loudly, the commentators could barely be heard. Goldberg continued to pace and call Lesnar out.
Regal: "They tried to get the drop on Goldberg, but he shrugged that off and kept right on coming!"
Young: "They may call Brock Lesnar 'The Beast,' but I believe he has met his match!"
Regal: "Fans, we've run out of time. Tune into to our sister station, TNT, for Show Time Femme Fatales this Thursday, and, join us here on TBS next Tuesday for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Renee Young, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
