The scene opens to Madusa Miceli, Melissa Santos, and Noel Harlow at the commentary booth of an empty WRAL studios.
Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest hour on television, Show Time Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess, Madusa Miceli. With me is the red hot chili pepper Melissa Santos and the vivacious vixen Noel Harlow. Girls, we ended last week's episode with a bang!"
Melissa Santos: "Yes, we did! 'Candy Crush' defeated the Shirais, which should have kept them in 'Joshi Mafia.' Instead, Aja Kong called for the beat down anyway. It looks like Kairi Hojo and Chelsea Diamond are on their own."
Noel Harlow: "That's right. 'Candy Crush' is now looking to pick apart 'Joshi Mafia.' They also have a legitimate Women's Tag Team Championship claim after defeating the reigning champions clean last week."
Miceli: "We'll talk more about that at the conclusion of the show today. Right now, we have to get to the second round of the 'Femme Fatales Top Gun' Tournament."
Commentary in between matches has been suspended due to space.
Match One ~ 2 Io Shirai vs. 7 Cherry
Io is one of the top female wrestlers in the world. Cherry is a game competitor and highly skilled, but not quite on Shirai's level. Io landed her beautiful "Moonsault" for the victory.
Winner = 2 Io Shirai by pinfall in 5:11
Match Two ~ 3 Kyoko Inoue vs. 6 O.D.B.
O.D.B. was in rare form in this one. Inoue is Inoue. She's a legend and one of the greatest ever. This was a stalemate for the most part. Kyoko had the advantage at the end, but a mistimed dive let Od.B. in the back door with the "Bam" for a surprise upset.
Winner = 6 O.D.B. by pinfall in 7:47
Match Three ~ 4 Meiko Satomura vs. 5 Yumi Ohka
The brand new NWA: Show Time Women's Television Champion has been on fire lately. Satomura is a top hand anywhere in the world. This was an instant classic between two veterans of the mat game. Meiko and Yumi gave us an uncharacteristically stiff match-up, wearing each other out with kicks and forearm shivers. Ultimately, Yumi was supreme, catching Satomura with a "Choke Bomb" into the "Angel Wing Lock" for the submission.
Winner = 5 Yumi Ohka by submission in 8:45
Match Four ~ 1 Awesome Kong vs. 8 Saki Akai
Kong and "Joshi Mafia" are out for a big win of this tournament. Kong may be the most imposing figure in female wrestling today. She overwhelmed Akai, who is as tough as they come, with her size and strength. An "Implant Buster" finished this one.
Winner = 1 Awesome Kong by pinfall in 4:22
Match Five ~ 2 Mio Shirai vs. 10 Seleziya
Seleziya has impressed so far in the tournament. This match was no different. She had Mio on the run for the bulk of the contest. Mio actually snuck out a controversial win after reversing a "Small Package" and holding onto the ropes for leverage, a la Honky Tonk Man vs. Rick Steamboat in 1987.
Winner = 2 Mio Shirai by pinfall in 6:34
Seleziya, in her anger, "Gorilla Press Slammed" Shirai over the top rope and to the floor. Shirai appeared to be injured after the drop.
Match Six ~ 3 Takako Inoue vs. 6 Eve Torres
Torres used much of her Brazilian Ju Jitsu background to squelch the ageless Inoue in this match. Torres grounded Takako for quite a few minutes. Inoue, the cagey vet, called upon her years of experience to creatively win this one, using "Takako's Night Night," followed by "Takako Panic," into a "Dragon Sleeper" for the TKO.
Winner = 3 Takako Inoue by TKO in 7:02
Match Seven ~ 4 Paige with Saraya Knight vs. 5 Becky Lynch
Paige and Becky have been rivals for several years, and that continued in this match. Theirs styles mesh well, as both are European and were trained in that regard. The ground it out, with Becky attempting to work submissions, while Paige preferred to weaken Becky with kicks and punches. Becky locked in "Dis-Arm Her" and Paige began to tap out, but Saraya had the referee's attention. Becky confronted Saraya, which gave Paige time to recover and capitalize. She nailed the "Paige Turner" from behind for the controversial pin.
Winner = 4 Paige by pinfall in 8:28
Match Eight ~ 1 Kana vs. 9 Lluvia
Kana was relentless in her pursuit to her Lucha opponent off balance and out of the air. Kana hit a leg-trap "German Suplex" and followed up with the "Kana Lock" to secure her triumph.
Winner = 1 Kana by submission in 3:16
Match Nine ~ 2 Mika Nagano vs. 10 Kahmora
Kahmora is impressive physically and technically proficient. Nagano has an MMA background and is well versed in the art of submissions. Kahmora worked the power game, while Nagano attempted to work her opponent's left arm to soften her up for the "Fujiwara Armbar." Mika did eventually lock in the hold, but Kahmora fought it off. She went to put Nagano in the "Torture Rack," but Nagano turned it into a "Crucifix Cradle" for the quick pinfall.
Winner = 2 Mika Nagano by pinfall in 5:54
Kahmora "Racked" her anyway, causing Nagano to cry out in pain until officials forced the break.
Match Ten ~ 3 Hikaru Shida vs. 11 Chica Tormenta
Shida has developed quite the mean streak with "Joshi Mafia" in her ear. She dominated Tormenta, who is a "mean girl" in her own right. She caught Chica in the "Full Metal Muffler" for the eventual tapout.
Winner = 3 Hikaru Shida by submission in 4:24
Match Eleven ~ 4 Sarah Stock vs. 12 Sarona Snuka
This was easily the match of the second round and one of the best ten-minute matches in recent memory. This tournament is structured for rounds one and two to have ten-minute time limits, with rounds three and four fifteen minutes, and rounds five and six with thirty-minutes limits. However, Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa and Deputy Commissioner Fuka Kakimoto have vowed that every match will have a winner. Snuka and Stock fought voraciously for ten full minutes. The bell rang as Stock had Snuka trapped in "La Reienera," signaling a time limit draw. The fans thought at first that Snuka had submitted, then booed vehemently when they realized both women were technically eliminated from the tournament. True to their words, the aforementioned Commissioners mandated that a "sudden-death" period be instituted into the match. After a short tussle, Snuka landed a "Superick" that took Stock down, enabling her to scale the ropes and attempt her "Superfly Leap." Stock moved, sending Snuka crashing to the canvas. Stock recovered and hit a "Double Underhook Sitout Power Bomb" for the pin.
Winner = 4 Sarah Stock in a total match time of 10:41
The two embraced after the match in a show of respect.
Match Twelve ~ 1 Kairi Hojo vs. 8 Misaki Ohata
Hojo and Ohata are no strangers to one another. They went at it with great vigor. Ohata got in her offense and was impressive, but Hojo is really coming into her own. She hit the "Flying Elbow Drop" for the win.
Winner = 1 Kairi Hojo by pinfall in 6:08
Match Thirteen ~ 2 Aja Kong vs. 7 Celeste
The final member of "Divas of Destruction" left in the tournament pulled out all the stops against the bigger Kong. Celeste was valiant against Kong's heavy-handed attacks. She made a comeback and was looking to mount an offense, when Kong nailed a "Spinning Backfist." Celeste kicked out to the fans' delight. Kong went to the top rope, which is out of character for her. Celeste hitting a running "Yakuza Kick" that sent Kong crashing to the floor. The referee began to count as Celeste steadied herself in the ring. As the count reached nine, Kong rolled back into the ring, but was met with a fearsome "Spear" that nearly turned her inside out. Celeste got the pin and became the lowest seed to advance into the third round.
Winner = 7 Celeste by pinfall in 8:01
Kong and company laid the boots to Fujimoto before leaving once the rest of "DoD" came to the rescue.
Match Fourteen ~ 3 Tsukasa Fujimoto vs. 6 Taryn Terell
Fujimoto was her very best in this match. She needed to be, because Terell exhibited the skill that made her a former World Champion. Tsukasa was pushed to her limits, but responded with a "Venus Screw" for the pin.
Winner = 3 Tsukasa Fujimoto by pinfall in 7:57
Match Fifteen ~ 4 Ayako Hamada vs. 5 ACT Yasukawa
This was an interesting match-up of two hard-hitting ladies. "Akuton" was the difference in this one, after ACT spit some of her signature rum into Hamada's eyes as the two were grappling in the corner. This was missed by the referee.
Winner = 5 ACT Yasukawa by pinfall in 6:44
Match Sixteen ~ 1 Manami Toyota vs. 8 Chelsea Diamond
Diamond put forth the best effort we have ever seen since signing with NWA: Show Time. The problem is that she was in the ring with the best in the world. Toyota won, but not by much. In fact, she did not pin or submit Diamond. Toyota won by countout. Both ladies were fighting on the floor and Toyota snuck in at the last possible second (with Chelsea scooting in just after the referee said "Ten!") to secure victory.
Winner = 1 Manami Toyota by countout in 9:08
Diamond pleaded with the referee, but her cries fell on deaf ears. She is out of the tournament.
Miceli: "I've had a ball watching and calling this tournament so far!"
Santos: "It's a thing of beauty. To see 64 of the greatest women's wrestlers in the world, it's just a privilege."
Harlow: "We're sitting here and feeling that we are a part of wrestling history in the making."
Miceli: "Yes, we are, and it continues next week! Fans, be sure to tune into TBS this coming Tuesday for the Show Time Power Hour, and right back on TNT next Thursday for more Show Time Femme Fatales! For Melissa Santos and Noel harlow, I'm Madusa Miceli, saying, keep on rockin' and rollin'!"
