William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling on the planet, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my lovely and talented co-host, Renee Young. Renee, it's good to be back in house with a live episode!"
Renee Young: "Yes it is! Last week's highlight show was great, but I prefer being up close and personal with the action."
Regal: "Speaking of highlights, we are three days removed from our huge iPPV event, 'World War III.' It was a smashing success. Unfortunately, coming out of the night, Dean Ambrose is now on the shelf with a concussion due to those two 'F-5's' delivered by Brock Lesnar in the 'War Games' main event. He has not been cleared to wrestle, so he is not scheduled to be here this week."
Young: "Sad face emoji."
Regal: "Chin up, sunshine! We have a fantastic episode lined up. Myzteziz and La Sombra are here to confront the turncoat Volador, Jr. We will also see Shelton Benjamin challenge The Rock in a return match for the Television Championship in our main event. So, let's get it started, shall we?!"
Match One ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas vs. "Universal Soldier" Gunner
These two are no strangers to one another. They have been on opposite sides of the ring and have even teamed together many times over the years, including recently. Their matches have always been hard-hitting affairs. This one was no different. Gunner showed much offense, but Judas appears to be impervious to pain. Halfway through the match, the "House of Truth" (Jay Lethal, Xavier Woods, and manager Truth Martini) came to ringside and observed. Gunner seemed very distracted by their presence. Ultimately, the bigger Judas wore Gunner down. He hit "El Crucifejo" and nearly threw Gunner completely across the ring.
Winner = "Priest of Punishment' Mikael Judas by pinfall in 6:09
After the fall, the "HoT" hit the ring and squared off with Judas. Gunner stood up and appeared to side with Judas. Then, he led the attack against him as all four men laid the boots to Mikael with great fury. Out of nowhere, "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice cleared the ring and stood tall with Judas, much to the fans' delight. Gunner retreated with the "HoT," as Martini was whispering in his ear. Justice, meanwhile, began laughing maniacally, then he extended a hand to Judas. Mikael backed off at first, in obvious trepidation. After all, these two did just complete a blood feud that began after Justice turned on Judas. Eventually, the two shook hands.
Regal: "What just happened?! It seems as though Gunner is now in the 'House of Truth' and that Mikael Judas and Jason Justice have made amends? What an intriguing turn of events!"
Young: "My head is spinning at what we just witnessed. I can't believe an American hero in Gunner would join the sleezy Truth Martini, number one. Number two, if Jason Justice and Mikael Judas can co-exist, and even get on the same page, do you realize what a formidable duo they would be?"
Regal: "If I'm Truth Martini, I'm praying that Judas and Justice don't get along. Fans, 'So Cal' Valerie Wyndham is standing by with the former 'Super Lucha' Volador, Jr. and remaining members Myzteziz and La Sombra. Let's go to the backstage interview area."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with Myzteziz, La Sombra, and Volador, Jr., who have promised to remain professional during this interview time. We thought you guys had patched things up, but clearly Volador still has animosity, as we saw him once again interfere in La Sombra's World Historic Championship match at 'World War III.' What happened?"
Volador, Jr. (through an interpreter): "The more I thought about it, the more I realized that these two don't care about me. All they care about is looking good on television! I was the hardest-working member of this team and they soaked up all the glory! It's my time now! I don't need either of you!"
La Sombra (through an interpreter): "I'm through with you! You don't deserve to be in 'Super Luchas.' Traitor! You deserve to be taught a lesson!"
Volador, Jr.: "A lesson?! What lesson is that: how to be stepped on by your brothers?!"
Wyndham: "Myzteziz, you have been silent thus far. Any thoughts?"
Myzteziz (through an interpreter): "My heart is heavy. I am watching my family fall apart. But, Volador has chosen this path. He will now pay the consequences. Volador, you are on your own."
Volador, Jr.: "Good! That's how it should be anyway!"
Wyndham: "Volador, I have one question for you. Is there anything that could make this right in your eyes?"
Volador, Jr.: "Su mascara (his mask). I want to take La Sombra's mask just as he took mine. I want him to feel the humiliation I felt. I want him to suffer."
La Sombra: "You want my mask?! Come and take it like a man! Mascara de la mascara (mask for mask)!"
Wyndham: "It sounds like La Sombra is challenging Volador, Jr. to a 'Mask vs. Mask' match! Volador, what do you say?"
Volador, Jr.: "Si (yes)!"
Wyndham: "There you have it. It looks like Commissioner Scott Hall has a match to sign. Back to you, William."
Regal: "This is a huge announcement. A challenge was issued and accepted for a 'Mask vs. Mask' match. These are not to be taken lightly in Mexico, where the luchadors consider their shrouds sacred. One man's career will literally change after this match."
Young: "This feud was just taken to a new level."
Regal: "Mmm hmm. Let's go back to the ring."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out CEO "The Show" Jordan Richards, Stacy Keibler, Brock Lesnar, The Rock, and "The Kingdom"--Adam Cole, Michael Bennett, & Matt Taven with Maria Kanellis. Richards had a microphone in hand.
Jordan Richards: "Well, well, well. I hate to say 'I told you so,' but, I told you so! I prophesied to the world that my athletes would destroy 'Team Alliance' in 'War Games.' I guess I was right. Dean Ambrose is laid up for who knows how long. Castagnoli limped away. Ditto for 'Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team.' 'Team Richards' here is well and healthy. In fact, we are so healthy, The Rock is going to take care of business in the main event, a spot he's been accustomed to for his entire career. But, I had someone who was itching for some competition and asked for a singles match this week: one half of the Tag Team Champions, Michael Bennett! So, I signed an open contract on his behalf. If there is anyone left back there who wasn't beaten senseless on Saturday, come on out!"
The original "nWo" music blared to bring out Commissioner Scott Hall and Deputy Commissioner Jake "The Snake" Roberts to a roar of approval.
Scott Hall: "Hey, yo! So I see Bennett wants to be 'in it.' Good! We aim to please. But, Jordan, you misspoke earlier. His contract is not open. We've already signed someone to it."
Hall gestures toward the entrance and Kevin Steen's music plays. The crowd erupted as he shook hands with the Commissioners and took the microphone.
Kevin Steen: "Hey, Mikey! Remember me? Yeah, I'm sure you do. We had a little beef a few years ago because you tried to steal my move--the 'Piledriver!' I see you're still infringing on my gimmick. Let's say we make this a little more interesting. Commissioner, how about we say that you can only win this match with the 'Piledriver?'
Hall: "Jake, book it!"
With that, the match was on.
Match Two ~ Kevin Steen vs. Michael Bennett with Maria Kanellis
Steen stormed to the ring as the referee rang the bell. This match resembled a hockey fight on center ice. Steen warped Bennett on the head and had him retreating a minute into the contest. Bennett managed to gain the upper hand, but Steen came roaring back. Bennett tried his version of the "Piledriver," but was "Backdropped" for his trouble. Steen snatched Bennett up and hit a massive "Package Piledriver." The pin would have been academic, but was interrupted by Brock Lesnar and the rest of "The Kingdom."
Winner = Kevin Steen by disqualification in 9:34
The beat down continued until Claudio Castagnoli and "Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team" came to the ring with steel chairs in hand. Lesnar and company retreated with smiles on the faces as Steen writhed in pain on the mat.
Regal: "Steen had that match won, but the numbers game got the best of him."
Young: "We are beginning to sound like broken records with the whole 'numbers game' spiel. The superstars of NWA: Show Time had better rise up in unison, or they are going to be steamrolled."
Regal: "Fans, after the break, we'll go to our main event! Stay tuned!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ The Rock with Maria Kanellis vs. Shelton Benjamin
This was a classic encounter that was originally scheduled for the iPPV, until the "War Games" match was signed. Show Time Power Hour was the lucky recipient of it. "The Kingdom" and Brock Lesnar attempted to interfere on multiple occasions, but were thwarted by Claudio Castagnoli, Kevin Steen, and Charlie Haas, who still had their steel chairs en tow. The Rock was forced to wrestle a straight up contest against Benjamin. Both men summoned their absolute best weaponry against one another. The Rock countered a "Springboard Dropkick" with a "Sitout Powerbomb" for a near fall. Benjamin turned the "Rock Bottom" into a "Crucifix Cradle" for a two-count. Benjamin caught The Rock in a "Crossface" and it looked as if he might actually get the tapout, but the bell rang as the time limit expired.
Winner = time limit draw in 30:00 (The Rock retains the championship)
Both wrestlers were exhausted after this tremendous battle and were helped to the back by their respective allies.
Regal: "This has been a phenomenal hour. The main event was an instant classic!"
Young: "I don't see how either man walked out after that match. With sixty more seconds, Shelton Benjamin might have regained the title."
Regal: "Fans, that it what I call professional wrestling at its finest. We saw two gladiators fighting tooth and nail, with neither man giving an inch of ground. That's all the time we have for this week. Tune in this Thursday on TNT for Show Time Femme Fatales and right back here on TBS next Tuesday for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Renee Young, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
